Chapter 111 Our Sibling Relationship Is Truly Over
Lily was almost pushed over by Barry.
She raised her eyebrows, bold and sharp: "That's right, I'm exactly that petty."
"But Mr. David Roberts has already given orders that you're not allowed to set foot in the villa."
"Barry, who gave you the nerve to talk to Lily like that? She's your master!"
Michael stared at Barry with bloodshot eyes: "Looks like I've been too good to you all these years, making you forget your own place!"
Sophie quickly pleaded, "Michael, it's all my fault. Barry was just standing up for me."
"But he lied for you and even dared to lay hands on Lily. The Roberts family can't keep someone like that. Barry, pack your things and leave."
After Michael finished speaking, both Sophie and Barry were stunned.
Barry panicked a bit: "Mr. Michael Roberts, I've worked for the Roberts family for decades. Even if I haven't done great things, I've worked hard."
"But the Roberts family has treated you well, too. Now you've forgotten your place. I don't think you're suitable to stay with the Roberts family anymore."
Seeing Barry's attitude toward Lily, Michael felt a chill in his heart.
Barry collapsed to the ground. He never thought he'd be fired by the Roberts family at his age. He thought his relationship with the Roberts family was so good that he'd stay here for life.
"Barry, hurry up and apologize to Lily. She's so kind-hearted, she'll definitely forgive you."
Sophie didn't want Barry fired either - that would mean one less helper for herself.
Barry didn't want to be fired either, so he looked at Lily: "Ms. Roberts, I was confused and made a mistake. Since your parents passed away, considering how I took care of you all these years when you were little, please forgive me this once."
His family needed money too - he couldn't lose this respectable job.
Lily laughed coldly: "Now that you mention it, I almost forgot. Sophie and I have birthdays close together, and you always suggested I accommodate Sophie by celebrating together. And every time Sophie made a mistake, you'd find a way to pin it on me. Including the problems with my exam supplies - that was all your doing too.
All these years, I really have to thank you for your care! You made me live in hell!"
Barry's expression instantly became panicked: "No, Ms. Roberts."
"Just now you were defying me, now you're begging because you're afraid of being fired - what a two-faced opportunist!"
After Lily finished speaking, she walked straight to Michael and took the acceptance letter from him.
Michael's throat moved, struggling to speak: "Lily, I'm sorry. I didn't notice you suffered so much!"
"Cut the noble act, pretending to be so innocent. I told you many times before. If you'd listened even once, things between us siblings wouldn't have come to this, would they?"
Michael was instantly speechless.
Yes, Lily was right. He had caused all of this with his own hands.
Lily took out a document from her bag: "Sign it, so I can transfer my legal residence."
She wanted to have her own legal residence, so that whatever she did in the future wouldn't involve the Roberts family.
That would be true freedom.
Looking at the document, Michael spoke in agony: "Lily..."
Michael didn't expect Lily to actually go this far.
He looked up with difficulty: "Lily, is there really no room to turn back?"
Seeing this scene, Sophie felt a bit happy inside - this was good news for her.
She quickly said tearfully, "Lily, we're still family, blood is thicker than water. Whatever you..."
"Shut up!"
Michael directly scolded Sophie. Now seeing Sophie cry just annoyed him.
Maybe bringing Sophie back was a mistake from the start?
After all, there were many ways to make it up to Sophie.
Now Lily wanted to cut ties with the family because of Sophie. Michael really regretted agreeing to David's decision back then.
Michael really didn't want to sign.
Lily said flatly: "Michael, sign it."
Lily stuffed the pen into Michael's hand: "The Roberts family is hell to me. I can't stay here another moment."
Michael covered his face with his hand: "Lily, I'm sorry, I can't sign this."
If he really signed it, Lily would definitely leave the Roberts Mansion without looking back.
As long as Lily's legal residence was still at the Roberts Mansion, they were still family.
Lily said coldly: "Didn't you say back then that I wasn't as obedient and sensible as Sophie, that you'd rather not have me as a sister?"
Michael's voice choked up: "I said that in anger."
Sophie added fuel to the fire from the side: "Yes, Michael said it in anger. Why take it seriously?"
Seeing Michael's attitude, Lily knew she wouldn't get the signed document today.
"Mr. Roberts, you doing this only makes me feel disgusted."
"Lily, you're still angry now. No matter what you say, I won't hold it against you."
Lily got a bit angry. She turned back, took the pen, and threw it directly into the trash: "I've used this pen for so many years. Time to replace it."
The things she gave, she'd rather throw away than leave for the Roberts family to use.
Lily turned and left the study, her steps very brisk.
She barely paused at all, leaving the Roberts Mansion directly, leaving this place where she'd lived for so many years.
"Lily!"
Michael almost stumbled after her, holding a bank card: "It's not easy living alone outside, and Empire City is expensive. Take this! This is the only thing I can do for you."
"Don't need it, I'm not short on money right now!"
Lily glanced at the password lock on the gate, casually picked up a brick from the ground, and smashed it.
Michael was stunned, not quite understanding what Lily meant by this.
Lily dusted off her hands: "This villa was left by Mom and Dad. Using Sophie's birthday as the password makes me sick! Change the lock!"
After doing this, she walked toward Dennis.
Looking at the broken door lock, Michael felt his head spinning.
When was the password changed? How did he not know?
At this moment, Barry and Sophie also rushed out.
Michael backhanded a slap across Barry's face.
"Damn it, the house password has always been Lily's birthday. Who gave you the right to change it?"
Barry felt guilty: "It was Mr. David Roberts who ordered that Ms. Roberts not be allowed to step into the house, so I changed the password!"
"Good, good, really great. Might as well just give you the Roberts Mansion. Such a big thing, and you dared to make that decision on your own!"
Michael was so angry his head was buzzing!
He used to think Lily had just suffered a little grievance, so she was throwing a tantrum about leaving home.
Now he realized Lily hadn't just suffered a grievance - she'd been wronged for all these years.
It was his fault.
Barry was scared and trembling: "Mr. Michael Roberts, I thought Miss Scott was also the Roberts family's daughter, so I changed it to her birthday as the password. I didn't mean anything else."
Barry thought to himself, "All these years, haven't you also favored Sophie more?
It's just changing a gate password - why get so angry!"
Michael dragged Barry to find Lily: "Lily, I didn't know about changing the password. I'll have Barry explain to you."
Lily sat in the car, her expression mocking: "Over the years, Barry hasn't just done this one thing."
Michael immediately panicked.
"Lily, tell me, wherever Barry has wronged you, I'll make it right for you, okay?"
