Damian's breath fanned my ear as I felt his body press into my back. The front of his gun brushed past my shoulder, fixated on Luca, who faced us with clenched fists. “Move, Elena,” Luca wanted to sound dominating, “he won't hurt you. I won't let him.” I couldn't move when Damian settled his hand on my waist firmly, keeping me from moving. “You won't let me?” Damian's tone was possessive when he leaned closer to me, speaking to Luca. “You don't give the orders here.” Luca's jaw tightened, but he didn't move from his place. Damian slowly pressed his finger more on the trigger, deliberately. “You have two choices, Elena," he whispered to me. "Choose me, and he'll live, but might end up in a hospital.
