She gulped at the thought of the reaction either of them could have to the shopping spree Samantha had taken her on today, not having thought of their reaction. Would they be angry? Upset? Goddess, she hoped not. The last thing she wanted to do was have either of them get unhappy with her, when that hadn't been her intention when she left the palace. How would they feel? Honestly, she didn't know.

Netayah tried to caution herself she didn't have any reason to be distressed, this whole shopping trip had been their idea to begin with. Their the ones who had made the appointment with the stylist, that had convinced her to go to, though she had tried to fight against it. Xios had advised her that she was to get absolutely anything that she needed or wanted, that she wasn't to be worried about the money spent. Slowly she found herself calming down at the thought of the instructions he'd given to her before she left the palace, confident neither would be distressed. She hoped so anyway.

Upon their arrival at the palace, Netayah hurriedly climbed out of the car as it came to a stop, looking forward to heading upstairs to her room. She was thoroughly exhausted from the time spent away from the palace, never realizing how tiring trying on some clothes could be. Yet it was. All she wanted to do right now was head upstairs to the alpha suit, then upstairs to her bedroom and crawl into bed for a nice long nap. One she desperately needed.

In her current state of mind there was no way that she would be able to talk to the twins while keeping her eyes open, let alone cooking their meal. It would surely give them a bad impression of her and what their lives together could be like, if she was too tired to even cook them something to eat.

“Thank you, Samantha,” Netayah spoke softly as they entered the main doors of the palace, unable to find it in herself to be rude to the woman after everything she'd done for her. Granted jealousy still surged up inside of her at the thought of the scene she'd witnessed earlier, but knew she would simply have to deal. “You were a huge help today. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you.”

Samantha offered the girl the first real friendly smile all day, “It was my pleasure Miss Netayah, honestly it was a delight to have been with you during your shopping. If you ever need a shopping buddy, fashion advice or simply someone to talk to, I'm always here for you.”

“I'll keep that in mind,” she agreed.

No matter her earlier anger towards this woman for the touch witnessed earlier that day, she could see them becoming real friends. If she could keep her jealousy in check.

“Sami my love,” a deep voice spoke.

Right then she witnessed the woman's amber eyes light in a way she hadn't seen them do before, curious at what could've caused the spark in them. Then she saw why. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she watched Beta Jackson saunter into the room, dressed in the typical warrior gear of pants and leather jacket. His normally cold indifferent expression was currently gone, as a wide grin spread across his face, and his eyes were lighting up in the same way. Only to be propelled backward in shock when Samantha suddenly tore across the distance and jumping into the arms of the man, the two of them kissed. Very hungrily.

Netayah could not contain the shock she felt as their hands desperately clung to each other, their mouths attacking the others with a vengeance. No matter how passionate Lucy and Bishop were in her time staying with them, it was nothing compared to the interaction between these two. She was further floored at the reality she was now bearing witness to that she'd never fathomed possible, Beta Jackson was her mate. All of this time she’d disliked her for touching Xios, believing she had devices on her mate, when all along she had her own mate. And judging by the way the two of them were on the verge of devouring each other, to an extent that should not be legal outside, she had no intentions of changing that.

She cleared her throat. “I think I'll be going.”

Instantly snapped to attention at the reminder they weren't alone, Beta Jackson finally put his mate back down on the floor. Only for the color to drain out of his face when he saw the young girl in her presence having failed to notice her until that moment. He took a step backward. “My lady I didn’t see you there. I beg my forgiveness.”

Netayah waved it aside. “There is no need for you to be worried on my account Beta Jackson, nor should you feel any embarrassment at being caught. I am the one who is sorry for gawking at you. I will be going now.”

Then before either of them had the chance to comment on what she'd said, Netayah hurriedly crossed the floor of the main area. Stepping onto the golden elevator when the doors came open a moment later, she turned around to press the button for the seventh floor. She could not miss the way the two of them had their heads together, whispering amongst themselves in hushed tones, their eyes tracking her movement. No doubt the two of them were discussing the fact that their intimacy had been interrupted by the peeping tom teenager that'd been in their midst.

If so why had Beta Jackson been afraid? Like he was worried he'd been caught by her. That made absolutely no sense to her at all. What did the man matter that he'd been caught showing his love to his mate, let alone by her? A mere rogue. It failed to matter she’d been confirmed to be the mate of the twin alphas, knowledge that very few had, she was still a rogue after all.

Netayah got the uncomfortable feeling that something else was going on here, something that neither of them seemed inclined to include her in on. Why?
