33. Escorted by the alphas

Close to three hours had passed since she'd entered the dining room, when Xavier slowly rose to his feet, extending his hand out to her. "You must surely be tired. How about we escort you to your chambers?"

She nodded. "I'd like that, thank you."

Assisted back to her feet, when Netayah had stepped around the chair at the table Xios wrapped an arm around her as she was shown out of the room. As she was guided through the expanse of the palace she couldn't miss the behaviors of the men, at the special touches she'd received from both. Though Xios had wrapped his arm around her while she was guided from the dining room, at some point the am was replaced by Xavier's. As if the two had automatically come to the decision that both of them were allowed these special moments with her, one only a mate could ever have.

Only for Netayah to come to a skidding halt when she glanced at her surroundings, realizing the men were moving her opposite of the private clinic.

Xavier frowned. "Is everything okay?"

"The medical...

"Trust us," Xios interrupted.

Though she was curious about what the two of them could be up to this time, she ultimately decided to allow them to lead the way for her. For this reason alone she allowed Xavier to continue leading her on down the long corridor, curious what the two of them could be up to. Her confusion further mounted when the doors to the golden elevator came open, Xios placing his hand on the small of her back to motion her inside. The elevator took them up to what turned out to be the seventh floor of the castle, there being far more floors than she'd originally thought.

A little while later she was guided out of the doors into another long corridor, though it only seemed to have one door directly in front of her. Xavier stepped towards the door then, fishing out a card from his wallet, though he tossed a grin over his shoulders at her. "The entire top floor is reserved for the first family, only able to be accessed by the members. Which presently consists of the three of us. Not even our warriors are allowed access to this floor."

Then using the gold card he slid it through the keypad of the security system she hadn't even realized had been there until that very moment. When the light lit up green evidence the card had been authenticated as legitimate there was a loud metallic click, then the door came open.

"Ladies first," Xios invited.

Tipping her head in thanks to the man she finally stepped through the opened doorway, wondering where the two of them had been taking her. Truly worried if they intended on taking her to their bedroom for the evening, knowing she'd have to talk fast to escape the outcome. Although she found both of them attractive, both of them affecting her in the same way, she was nowhere close to going to that point. Netayah had just barely managed to open herself up to the idea of having a mate to forge a bond with, she couldn't bring herself to go further than that.

Only for her thoughts to freeze when she came to stand a few feet inside of the doorway, to glance at her current surroundings, surprised. It hadn't been a bedroom she'd been shown into. Rather she'd been shown into an enormous living room area that was nearly the size of the full length of this portion of the castle. The room had wide open space that led to the sitting area, where three couches of exquisite taste were sitting in front of an enormous television. Shelves lined the far wall to one side of the living room, that were practically floor to ceiling, consisting of thousands of different movies. It was their own movie store.

Walking around to get a better of the feel of the place Netayah saw double-wide French doors that led into an enormous dining hall with a mahogany table. Then around the corner, she saw the opening of a grand kitchen, that appeared to be updated to the most advanced equipment ever seen, but was clearly unused.

"Welcome to the Alpha suit." This was the twins.

Xios placed an arm around her waist when she failed to move forward, he then led her to a spiraling staircase that went up to the second floor.

"Suit?," she laughed, "This is its own mansion."

Xavier laughed as he followed close behind them. "Yes Xios and I pride our privacy, especially when it comes to our family, so we built our own little getaway to escape everyone else. It isn't easy to find it anywhere, save here."

That she could understand. Netayah understood the pressures of what it meant to be an alpha, to have everyone in the entire pack depending on them for every little thing. She could well imagine their desire to escape the pressures of their life from time to time, to simply enjoy being by themselves for awhile. It was difficult enough to accomplish when you were the alpha of one of the small packs, but they ran one of the largest most influential packs among the werewolves. Which that only meant there was three times as much pressure, stress and people depending on them than all of the other alphas, burdening them further.

When they reached the top landing of the staircase it led into a long corridor, where directly in the center there was a doorway on either side, then on each end. Stopping in the area between the two doorways, Xavier smiled as he motioned a hand toward the doorway that was on the right side of the hall. "This is your bedroom suit. I hope you like it."

"My suite?," she gasped.

"Of course," Xios added, seeming to be holding in the humor that he felt at that moment, realizing the man had the tendency to laugh an awful lot. "Though we like the idea of having you in the room with us, we figured that you weren't quite ready to reach that stage in our relationship. We wouldn't be averse to it if you wanted to climb in bed with us."

Blushing crimson at the offer that had been made to her, unable to fight the mental image that popped into her head right at that moment. The mental image of her body lay curled up in the bed being sandwiched between the enormous build of these men, wrapping her in the cocoon of their head. Netayah averted her gaze. "Maybe not quite yet."

He chuckled. "The invitation is always open."

She blushed harder. "I'll keep that in mind."

"Please do," he winked.

Xavier kissed her brow. "Goodnight, Netayah."

Xios did the same. "See you in the morning."

"Good night," she replied.

Then slipping into the bedroom before anything else could be said, she hurriedly closed the door and leaned up against the surface of it. After a couple of moments, as if wanting to ensure that she had no intentions of coming back out, Netayah heard their footsteps leading to the door opposite of her. Able to breathe a bit easier at the thought the both of them were in their own chambers, clearly being truthful with their intentions of sleeping apart. She tried to assure herself this was what she wanted, to go at slow paces while she got to know them better, but could not discount her disappointment. Fuck, she was confusing at times.

While Netayah rejected the thought of reaching out to them claiming she wanted to avoid rejection she only yearned to reach out and bring them close. Then she claimed to want to take things slow between them, to give her the opportunity to get to know her mates better. Only to become disappointed when they respected her wishes. Would she ever understand the strange workings of her mind at times? Netayah was seriously beginning to suspect she would never be able to fully comprehend the complexity of her thoughts, as there always seemed to be a struggle.
