Chapter 173
**MIHEN POV**
All she had to do was shut her mouth and i would have been gentler with her, but she has a fire in her eyes that i doubt she even realises is there. Stupid girl. Did she really think antagonising me would work in her favour?
She has no idea who I am, or what I am capable of, but I know her, I know exactly who she is, and now I have her firmly in my world now, and her pain has only just begun.
I have dreamed of this moment for years, having one of Dieter’s bastard children within my grasp so that i can send their head back to him wrapped in the gold he stole. And now i have one, the only daughter he ever had and he led her right to me.
I'm going to break her beyond repair, make her beg for her pathetic life. She’s a princess, she probably doesn’t even know the meaning of suffering, let alone the pain of a hard days work.
Cay, what a simple name for such a fiery woman, i wonder if she is a dragon shifter, just like her mother.
No that it matters, her father is the reason for all of the things that have ever been wrong with my life, and now i am going to take the one thing from him that he cannot replace. His daughter.
I watch her as she lays motionless in the dirt, mud coating the side of her face and blood pooling beneath her from the wound in her left arm.
Why did she even fight? She should have known her resistance would have been futile. One armed princess cannot take on the entire shifter army alone, no matter who her father is.
She is either incredibly brave, or unbelievably stupid, I haven’t yet decided which. Though I cannot wait to find out.
It shocks me that she thought that I would spare these people. I’m not known for showing mercy, in ever town I come across, all the people die. I never leave anyone alive. If she truly knew who she was facing, would she have even come? Or would she have run home to her father?
i turn to my right-hand man, Jren, his eyes littered with unspoken confusion, and he has every reason to be troubled by my choice to keep her alive. My army isn’t known for sparing anyone, not even children.
“Stitch her arm and then bring her to my horse.” i order, unable to stop my eyes from going back to her unconscious body.
For the daughter of Dieter, she sure is brave, stupid, but brave. Perhaps I'll make use of her, until i decide it is time to send her corpse back to the capital.
“We are taking her with us?” He asks, “our way of life is no place for a woman.”
“She’s not a woman.” I say, turning back to him, “She’s the daughter of Dieter, and she is mine until i decide otherwise.”
Jren has brown hair and a mostly shaven beard, his eyes the same shade as the summer sky back home, a bright blue. He's big, bigger than i am, with muscles that could crush a grown man into dust.
But i trust him with my life, he has always had my back, and i have always had his. But that does not mean that he gets to question my decisions. Or defy my orders.
“Stitch her arm and bring her to my horse.” I say again, not liking to repeat myself, “Otherwise you can stay here with the rotting meat.”
He frowns, but nods, “Of course, General.” he says coldly, removing a needle and string from his bag. “But just so you know, i think this is a bad idea.”
I laugh, that is a nice way of telling me that if something goes wrong, it's my head on the chopping block, not his.
But he has nothing to worry about, i am going to make sure that everyone knows this was my idea, including King Dieter and his bitch wife.
“It’s not a terrible idea, it’s an amazing one.” I say, watching as he tends to her wound. “Just imagine Dieter shitting himself in his thrown room.”
“That is a sight I would like to see.” Laughs Jren. “Just make sure that you don’t get attached, I know that you cave for good pussy.”
“I won’t get attached.” I say, crouching down beside her body, “you know how much I hate her bloodline, especially her father and birth mother. They destroyed everything.”
My shoulders shake with rage, and for a moment, just a moment I consider beheading her right here and leaving her rotting corpse for them to find. But if I am ever going to get what I want from them, I need her alive, for now.
It has taken me years to get this far, and with the princess I'll get even further. Dieter cannot refuse me now that i have his daughter, and soon, this entire kingdom will fall.
No one will be left alive, especailly the children.
