Burn baby Burn

Burn baby Burn
“Seeing as he is down for a little while, I will try to help you.” I sighed when he leaned into me and licked the wounds closed. Yes they would have closed on their own but it was nice to stop bleeding into the bed. Draven looked at my ankles and then sighed; he couldn’t touch the chain with his bare hands. It would burn him or so Blaze said. He grabbed the chain and pulled them off my ankles and I looked at him in shock.

“Blaze said it would hurt you.” I said looking at him with worry.

“Legend, vampires aren’t allergic to silver.” Draven told him with a half smile.

“Then why is he screaming like that?” I asked a litle confused but loving the fact that he was in so much pain.

“That cross was blessed by the Pope and Demons can’t handle the holy objects. So the vampire can handle both the demon can’t.” I wwas shocked by that, but hey it was what it was.

It took us a little while to figure out what to do first. I needed to feed badly, but I wanted to clean the dried blood and other stuff off before I did. The blood lose had left me so weak that Draven would have to help me to the bath. Neither of us wanted to leave Blaze alone so we chained him to a chair and called Sydney to take him down to the labs where a cell had been set up. Blaze was kicking and screaming as he was dragged out of the room. I was just happy to get a bath and a few blood bags. I didn't know if I would be alright with any of this. Thankfully it never went as far as he wanted it to go. The looks that Draven kept giving me made me want to cry. He felt like he had failed to help me, to save me from the beast that was Blaze.

If he had listened to me at the start then maybe this could have been different. I didn't really blame him for all of it. Blaze had used powers aganist a powerful vampire and it humbled Draven. Sometimes you need to be humbled to get through life and see that others might be right about things. Even those that are new to things.

"Nat.." Draven started.

"You don't have to say anything." I waved it off not wanting to hear it right now.

My mind was a hot mess right now and I didn't need to have to carry his worry with it. Draven looked almost broken that he had almost lost me. Blaze hadn't noticed how much blood I had lost. He only wanted to hurt me because I was able to break the hold he had over the human side of himself. After an hour Draven helped me to dry and get out of the room. I wanted to burn the mattress and bed frame. Draven didn't stop me on it. We had a lovely bon fire a few nights later. All of use sat watching as that memory that night vanished into ash. I didn't think for a moment that it wouldn't haunt me for a while to come. I wanted out of the house, to have my own space. Without a lab under the house. I like Elysium but I hated that lab.
