Chapter 48 CHAPTER 48
"I thought we could talk about what you said rationally." I said.
"I'm sorry, that is my past I'm trying to forget. It is personal and I would just rather put it behind me." She said.
"Raven you just can't drop that on me and not explain it." I said softly.
"I'm sorry I said something that is a very painful time of my life. I'm not going to talk about it. That is final." She said anger in her voice. I took a step towards her.
"No Titan don't come near me. Ever again. I want to leave here. Thank you for everything you have done for me, but I can't be you mate. You will never hurt me again. Please leave. Here is your elevator card. I will not be using it." She said I could tell she was on the verge of crying. I looked at Valen and linked him.
"You stay with her, do not let her run away."
"Yes, Alpha." He said and closed the link. I walked to the door my whole body hurt my heard was breaking.
"You want to know so bad, take my first sketch book it is all there. Burn it after you look at it." Raven said and went out onto the balcony crying. I took the book but did not leave I sat on the couch and looked at the pictures.
The first picture was of Raven at a very young age a older boy and I assumed her mother and father. Her mother’s hair was braided. The only two people i have ever saw of our kind was Mother and Raven. The next picture horrified me. Is this what Raven saw at a young age her father being shot in the head. Then as I went further in the book it was me but not as much as the other books
I watched as the story played out. The man was the mate of both Raven and the other girl. The book ended with Raven running away from them. Her standing in the tree line crying. And a heart shattering over the man. She had rejected him. For some reason When I saw the book the first time I had not learned to read her drawing. Now I had to know what was on the canvas that she was drawing I got up to lift the sheet off it. In a split of a second Raven was in the room. How had she moved so fast or known I was at the easel.
"I told you not to touch this. You do not know how to listen. GET OUT.!" She yelled.
"Raven! Stop now!" My Mother said coming in the door.
"Luna Loria he touches things I ask him not to touch. Wants answers to a painful part of my past. I just want him to leave me alone. I don't belong here. No one will accept a blind Luna." Raven said to my Mother then sat on her bed and cried.
'Is that what the yelling was about in the elevator something painful from your past?" Raven nodded.
"Not exactly mother, “I said. Raven shot me a murderous look.
"Raven I looked at the book but I'm still confused. Mother Raven said to me in the elevator 'I will reject you, it's not like I haven't done it before'. I got mad asked her who and when. Mother you said only you and Raven have the braided hair?" I asked.
"Yes. Why do you ask?" Mother asked.
"Raven can I show my Mother the picture of you and your family?" I asked.
"I guess, don't burn that one," she asked.
"You may have told me to burn it but I had no intentions of burning it. I want to know your story. I showed my Mother the first picture Raven ever drew. She was shocked.
"Raven your Mothers hair, was it always like that?" Luna asked
"Ever since I can remember. She said one day when I was older she would tell me the story. But I guess I will never hear it." Raven said tears falling from her eyes.
"What happened to your mother? Raven." My mother asked.
"I don't know, I have not seen her since I was eight years." She said.
"Titan leave Raven and I alone, this is a conversation for her and myself." Mother told me.
"Mom, I want to understand what happened in Her past." I said
"Titan, for Goddess’s sake do what your Mother said and go away, Or else." Raven said angrily.
"Or else what? You going to throw me across the room again?" I asked with just as much anger.
"Titan, I have had enough. Go and make plans for what we talked about. This is getting neither of you anywhere." Mother said. I walked over to Raven and kissed her forehead. She did not fight me.
"Please let me talk to Luna Loira. When we are done I will try and tell you.” Raven asked through her tears. brought up emotions I thought I had buried when I left them." Raven asked holding my hand. I nodded and went to my office linking Lance to meet me there.
LUNA LOIRA'S POV
I have no idea what had gotten into Titan. He had never hurt someone before. He was always gentle and kind to everyone. Was he disappointed that Raven could be blind. He was pushing her away more and more everyday. We could not have her leave. I would never let her. She was safer with her family.
"Raven do you feel like talking to me, what you tell me stays between us. I can feel your sadness. Your fear. When your ready you let me know. I'm going to order fresh coffee up would you like some?" I asked Raven. She nodded.
"Luna I need to get this off my chest. Maybe if I share it the pain will go away again." Raven said her head down.
"I will listen without judgment, Raven, I can’t tell you the pain will go away but you may feel better after sharing it." I told her. She came to the couch from the bed. When she sat down I put my arm around her letting her lay her head on my shoulder and waited for her to be ready to talk.
"I was taken from my family when I was in my eighth year. They shot my father for hiding me. I don't know what happen to my brother and mother." She said.
"Raven they shot him in front of you?" I asked.
"I was looking out if the van window they had me and my best friend Clare in. I saw them shoot him in the head. Then they took us away. When we got to the pack Clare and I were put together and our guardian was Hawkins. For eight years he took good care of us. But when we turned sixteen years the Alpha decided to marry us off to these old men to populate their pack.
