Chapter 45 CAPTER 45
"Did he hit the wall, or did you throw him into the wall?" Luna asked I could hear the amusement in her voice.
"Ummm. I would rather not say." I told her. She and Kendra started to laugh. I smiled. Titan was off the phone and Luna stopped Laughing. Had I done something to anger her.
"Titan! Look at Raven head!" Luna said angrily.
"What happened," he asked concerned.
"Look on the floor and tell me what you see." Luna told him.
"Just my laptop cord," he said, confused.
"Just your laptop cord, Titan. Just the laptop cord that you did not tuck away so Raven could not trip over it and smash her head on the table." She yelled at him. I heard him moving something then he was in front of me moving the cloth I was holding on my head.
"Raven, I'm so sorry, I should have known better. Please forgive me, I will remember from now on, " he said putting the cloth back on my head. Now that I knew it was his fault I tripped and fell I was angry.
"Go do your work in your office Titan. Stop sitting around in my room not talking to me going about you daily business. I don't need a dam babysitter." I yelled at him and pushed him away from me. He said nothing to me but went somewhere in the room.
"Mother, can you let me know when your done your tea? Then I will come back." He asked her.
"That will depend on what Raven wants. I also want to meet with you and Lance after our tea. Make sure your available." She told him sternly.
"Yes Mother." He said and I heard him leave. Kendra started to laugh.
"Good for you Raven, you keep him in check." She said still laughing.
There was a knock and the door opened.
"Luna. Tea is here with lunch." Valen said bring in the cart. He noticed my head right away.
"Raven, what happened," he asked.
"It is nothing, Valen I just tripped on a cord." I smiled.
"That will be all " Luna Loria told him.
"Yes, Luna." He said and left.
"Titan has made Valen my personal bodyguard " I told her. She had sounded annoyed that Valen was asking me about my head.
"Well, he picked the best warrior for that. He will make sure nothing happens to you when your out and about " Luna said.
Kendra poured me tea and showed me where it was, then asked me what sandwiches and sweets I liked and put them on my plate and taking my hand telling me what each one was. I thanked her.
We all ate in silence for a bit. I felt something in room change I sensed danger, I heard it coming and I put up my hand instinctively and caught the knife someone threw at me. Kendra grabbed it as I went to throw it back.
"Mother that was an unfair test." Kendra said.
I was shocked and horrified Titan Mother just tried to kill me.
"What did I do Luna Loria, please don't kill me." I begged. She got up and came to sit beside me trying to hug me, but I pulled away.
"Raven, relax sweetheart. It was a test the knife would have never hit you. It was fair Kendra we had to know." Luna said.
"Know what?" I asked.
"I know about all you powers and abilities Raven. I know you have not used a lot of them yet." She told me.
"I don't have....." she cut me off.
"Raven, I know you do. You are exactly like me. You have so much to learn. Kendra has some powers but not as much as we do." She explained.
"Kendra is your hair braided?" I asked her.
"Sadly no I never got that part." She said.
"Raven, I know you want to go save your friends, but you are not ready. Look what happened this morning. I will have Zara come and help teach you. But you need to let Titan and I handle the Rouge King." Luna said.
"What will you do with my friends? how will I know they are ok?" I asked.
"I plan on bring them here to visit you. From there we will see, if we will send them on their way." Luna said.
"Please don't hurt them Luna I would never have survived without them." I begged.
"Raven, we are not going to hurt them dear, I promise you." She said. I could feel she was being sincere.
"But they are where the are because of me, Luna. I need to save them." I begged.
"We just went over this Raven. You will stay her with Kendra and that is final." She said. I bowed my head, yes Luna. But how did you figure out that I had these abilities that I don't even understand?" I asked.
"I had an idea but when Kendra told me about the sound coming from here of someone being thrown against the wall. I knew for sure. What did my son do that made you so angry?" She asked as she got up and went back to where she was sitting.
"He tried to sleep in my bed with me. I warned him to get out of the bed, or I would not be responsible for what happened to him he did not listen, and it just happened. One minute he was on the bed. The next he was across the room on the floor hit the wall. I think he hit his head. I'm sure he is mad at me for it. He has not said much to me since breakfast.
"He had an earlier visitor that made him angry. It put him in a bad mood. Don't take it personally. You will understand better when you bond becomes stronger." She said
"I'm sorry Luna but I don't think it will work out. I feel our bond. But no one wants a blind Luna." That woman said as much this morning." I told her.
"Don't listen to Jessica. Her parents have been trying to raise their status in the pack for years telling that girl all she has to do is become the Alpha's mate. For the last seven years that is what she has been doing. At first Titan enjoyed having someone to talk to bur Jessica dug in her nails. He never slept with her. I'm sure she will tell you that eventually. But he never did never promised her anything but friendship." Kendra told me.
I knew the kind had seen it where I worked. They would order us around and call us slaves. They really hated when we ignored them. They always got caught and punished. Then we would laugh at them.
