"Are you kidding me? I have to wear these all the time?" I asked. Beta Eric raised his eyebrows at me.
"Yes Ella, you are now in training." He said.
"What is next I have to shave my head?" I asked sarcastically. My father gave me a stern look.
"Ella we understand it is hard at first, but you will get use to it." Beta Eric said. Never I thought.
"You will report to building D. At six am. Wednesday morning. Here are you shoes you are to wear. You need to read this booklet and follow how you must wear your hair and rules about make up and other things." He told me. Then handed me a thick booklet.
I was so mad, why could I not wear my regular clothes. I saw other kids wearing regular clothes on our way to the pack house.
"I will see you Wednesday morning," Carrie said.
We were then ushed out of his office.
All the way back to our new home I was angry. I took my stuff to my room and slammed my door.
I called Celestia about an hour later.
"Have you been to see Alpha Calvin yet?" I asked her.
"Yah we just got back; mom sent me to my room to read this stupid booklet. Have you looked at it yet?" She asked.
"No, I really don't want to." I told her.
"Well you better hide your phone we are not permitted to have them until the second year and only if our grades are good." She told me.
"You have to be kidding me?" I asked.
It gets worse, you should read it they will be asking us questions on Wednesday." She said.
"Fine I will read it, but they are not getting my phone." I told her.
"I will see you at dinner, you and your parents are coming here, my mom told me." Celestia said and hung up.
I laid down on my bed and started to read the booklet; they should have just called it a book it had over sixty pages.
The more I read the more I wanted to go back to our other pack. Mom called me down at six to go for dinner.
"Ella?" She said upset.
"What?" I asked.
"Go back upstairs and change right now." She told me.
"Why?" I asked looking at her confused.
"Did you even start to read that booklet?" Mom questioned.
"Yes I have been reading it." I told her.
"Then get upstairs and put on your clothes you are suppose to be wearing." She told me.
'I have to wear them now?" I asked
"Yes, you are not allowed out of the house without having them on. Now go and change." Mom said. Why me.
I went back upstairs and put on the blue habit and tired the white sash around my waist. When I got downstairs mother stood there looking at me. She was not happy.
"What?" I asked.
"Go up take down your hair and brush it out remove that make up off your face and put on the proper shoes now." She yelled."
"I never signed up to be a monk!" I yelled as I went back up the stairs.
When I went back downstairs dad said let's go we are late. As we walked two cabins down I now saw a lot of people in robes there were a ton of different colors and their sashes were different too. When we got to Celestia's house she came outside and stood on the porch with me. I turned and saw her sash was a light yellow.
"When we go to my room I will show you were to sew a pocket inside for your phone. Just don't bring it to class." She told me.
"Where are we suppose to carry our money and credit cards?" I asked her.
"We are not allowed either." she said.
"What if I want to go for a coffee at that coffee shop over there." I asked her.
"Did you start to read that booklet?" Celestia asked me.
"I tried it is boring." I told her sitting on the rail of the porch. She grabbed my arm and made me stand up.
"What?" I asked peeved.
"That is inappropriate for us." She said.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked.
"Girl’s dinner is ready, " my mom called out to us we went inside to have dinner then Celestia's mother sat down with Celestia and I and started going over all the rules. I just wanted to go back home to Alpha Titan pack. When we go back to our cabin, I'm calling Luna Raven. She had given us each her number months ago. I was going to beg her to let me come back.
CALVIN'S POV
We had just come up from dinner; I had a bunch of pays to sign off on for tomorrow. Eric by Beta and twin brother was going over reports on the couch in the office with me.
"Well, Eric what do you think of the new student's?" I asked. Signing my name to pages as I talked.
"The boy Philip will fit in well. As with the girl Dena and her twin brother Daniel." Eric said.
He then went back to his reports.
"The other two?" I asked. Putting down my pen and giving him my full attention.
He got up off the couch and went for the whiskey and two glasses. He handed me a glass before he answered.
"Celestia was stubborn but took her thing and was polite. She just had to be told twice. She did not take anything until her mother reprimand her." He said. I look at him was he purposely doing this to me.
"And Ella?" I asked. He grinned.
"Well brother, I can see her spending a lot of time in meditation. She was sarcastic and smart mouthed." He said chuckling.
"What did she say?" I asked curious.
"She for one asked if we were shaving their heads and something about monks." He said with a straight face. I roared with laughter.
"You laugh now but she is going to be a handful." Eric said.
"I do like a challenge." I told him.
"What dies that mean, what happened when you went and talked to her last night?" Eric asked.
"Nothing that needs to be talked about right now. Her attitude is as fiery as her hair." I said drinking down my whiskey then got up and grabbed my jacket.
"You are going out to the bar?" Eric asked.
"No, I think I'm going to take a walk around the pack then go to bed." I told him.
"It is Saturday night, I thought we were going to the club?" Eric asked following me.
"I'm done with the bars and clubs’ brother, I'm sure one of our friends would love to join you." I told him.
"What do you mean done? Like never going again?" Eric asked. I stopped and turned to him.
