Chapter 139 139
Michael never beat around the bush about nothing always told me straight up how it was, why I trusted him so much. He was a dam good doctor.
"Raven, did you hear me?" Bre asked.
"Sorry, Bre was just thinking." I told her.
"Do you want me to get you some coffee and something to eat? It was a long drive." Bre asked.
"Bottle of water please and a blanket and pillow so I can just lay here on the couch." I requested.
"Would you not be more comfortable in our bed?" Titan asked. I had not even realized he had come in the room.
"If it is no trouble." I said. Titan had not said very much to me all the way home. Was he made at me. I was to tired to confront him right now.
"It is never any trouble my love." He said. Then scooped me up into his arms and carried me to our room. Bre brought me my water and left the room. I could hear her unpacking suitcases and humming to herself.
"They never found your mother at Hunter's " Titan finally said.
"What about what Clare said?" I asked.
"They arrested him on minor charges, they think she is there somewhere, last I heard they were going to Morris's pack." Titan said.
"I'm sorry, Titan. I had no control over it." I said then laid down and rolled to my side.
"Raven, I know that. It just scared me I could have lost you. Have a sleep I will be back to look after your feet in a few hours. I love you." He said.
"I love you too." I said as he walked out of the bedroom.
I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.
When I woke up Bre was coming in the room with a crying William.
"He has been changed and fed, but I think he wants mommy." She told me. I sat up putting the pillow behind my back, then she gave him to me. He grabbed onto one of my braids and my shirt and stopped crying.
"Wanted mommy did you my little pup?" I asked him. He cooed at me. I smiled. It was not long before he fell asleep. I laid him on the bed beside me. As he slept I stroked his cheeks and played with his hair. Then gently held his little hands. He had changed so much already. Later I would draw him from this memory.
"Raven, I came to get William, Titan is here to do your feet." Bre told me as she picked William up from the bed.
"Are you ready love?" Titan asked.
"What are we doing?" I asked. He picked me up and carried me to the bathroom I could hear the tub running.
He sat me on a stool. I heard him turn off the water. Then he took off the bandages slowly.
Once the bandages were off he turned me slowly, so my legs were in the tub.
"Tell me if it is to hot?" He asked.
"It is fine." I told him. He gently washed my feet then turned me back placing my feet on a soft towel. After about ten minutes he put the cream on them then wrapped each one back up gently. I had tears in my eyes. I caused this. Because of my actions I was more of a burden to him I thought to myself.
"Raven, stop, I can hear your thoughts, you are not or will ever a burden to me." Titan said. Then picked me up and took me to the couch. He passed me my tablet and earbuds.
Rest, you have a pillow and blanket. I will be back in a couple of hours with dinner. After dinner Mother and Kendra want to visit with you if you fell up to it. Your phone is on the coffee table with a bottle of water, Bre is tending to William and Valen is just outside the door. He is very worried about you." Titan said then kissed me on the forehead and I heard him leave the suite.
Two months later.
TITAN'S POV
Raven's feet had healed and she was back to working around the pack. She was happy with the progress of the single woman’s area. Also, with the better housing for the rouge camp.
We had not heard anymore from the special police, about Hunter and Morris. Little still had been heard of Alpha Brent; no one had seen or heard from him. Garrison wondered if he walked away from Hunter and Morris or they did something to him. I was sitting in my office going over report when I got a link from the front gate.
"Alpha, there is a man here with a woman and two children he says his name is Leo." The guard told me.
"Where is Raven?" I asked him.
"Her and Valen are just coming out of the cafe, Alpha." He told me.
"Is she headed towards the pack house?" I asked
"No, Alpha she is headed towards the elders." He said.
"Let them in." I told him. And closed the link.
I had told Raven to not go to the elders unless we were together.
"Lance, please greet our guests and put them in a nice room to freshen up. I have to get Raven." I said and ran out the door. We had checked Tala's house when we got back and found nothing. Either she moved it and cleaned up good or I was wrong. But I did not think I was wrong. This is why I told Raven not to go down there without me. The elders’ cabins were close to Tala's. That woman had a mind of her own, I'm not complaining but she can put herself in unnecessary danger. When I caught up with her she was sitting down with Tom, cracking a beer, laughing.
"Ah, Titan you come to take our beautiful Luna away, she just got here." Tom asked.
"Normally, not a chance. But there is someone at the pack house that needs to speak with her right way." I told him.
"Who is it?" Raven asked standing up.
"A man came to the gate requesting to see you, I have him cleaning up. He said it was important. Come let's not keep him waiting." I said. She took my arm and we walked to the pack house.
"Who is this man?" Raven asked as we walked. I was trying to figure out what to say when Lance met us.
"Here is his business card, Alpha he is a lawyer." He said.
"Why would a lawyer want to see me?" Raven asked. I put my finger to my lips so Lance would not tell her who it was. He nodded his head.
"They are waiting in your office," Alpha he said.
"Thank you Lance did you go get mother and Kendra?" I asked.
"I will have them come now Alpha" Lance said. He then ran ahead of us.
"Titan why is Lance being so formal? it is not like him" Raven asked.
