Come on you two lets go to my office and have a couple of drinks shall we. " Blake motioned for us to follow him. We walked into a large entrance way that had a number of closets and a large staircase to the right. There were three set of double doors that were closed. I assumed that must be their main hall. But every pack was different. I figured Blake would give us a tour later. We followed Blake up to the second floor where these stairs stopped. The hall floor had a rich red and gold carpet the was were done in a tan color with a white chair rail. Under the chair rail looked like red mahogany polishes to a fine shine. Blake opened the double doors to his office it had the same rich carpet. A large lounge area and smaller desk. There were two door off of this room. Blake took us to the room on the left the plaque on the door read ALPHA BLAKE.
We went inside the furniture was all black leather and walnut. His Desk was walnut and large have a seat in the chairs by the couch gentlemen. He went and got three crystal glasses and a bottle of whiskey from behind a bar at the far end of the room. He came over and sat on the couch then poured us each a glass of whiskey asking if we wanted Ice. I declined. Once we all had our drinks he relaxed on the couch.
"Titan, sorry may I drop the Alpha being just the three of us?" he asked me. I nodded as I took a drink of my whiskey it was good a very expensive brand.
"Thank you, as I was about to ask Titan did you ever find out who tried to kill you or Raven on you wedding day?" Blake asked.
"No, and when we had our Luna ceremony and she was officially made a pack member someone linked her threatening her. Valen took her out of harms way quickly but one of our ladies was pulling on my pant leg to get my attention was shot with a poisonous arrow all she said before she died was 'Alpha, Ti or was it Ta. Come to think of it was Ta. Dam she must have been trying to tell me the name and was taken out before she could her roommate Tala was right there crying. Yelling at me to leave her alone it was my fault." I said my brain now going over every moment of what happened.
"Titan wait did you say her roommate was Tala?" Garrison asked.
"Yes, Ivy, Tala, and I all went to grade school together. Father always had Tala's parents at the pack house so we would run around like kids do. Then Lance and his parent came back to the pack and Lance became my best friend and Tala's parents decided she was to old at that point to be hanging around me and Lance. So stopped bring her to the pack house. I had forgot that. I was just in my ninth year when Lance came. " I said.
"Do you think it was Tala who shot the arrows? Listen to what you just told just us," Blake said.
"I don't know why she would do such a thing. We have talked or greeted each other in passing over the years. I could never think It would be her." I said.
"I think your wrong, when you go home search her house again check for moving walls or lose floorboards. "Garrison said.
"Moving wall, come on. But floorboards I could see. But why would she kill Ivy?" I said.
"She was probably aiming for you, did you bend down when she grabbed your pant leg?" Garrison asked.
"I think I did. Tala said it was all my fault when she was holding Ivy's dead body." I said.
There you go. And you said she came running where was she at the ceremony?"
"I don't know I was busy making people pack members with Lance." I said confused.
'I should go collect Spencer and save Raven," Garrison said laughing.
"I will come with you and see if Raven needs anything." I told him.
"Lori, told me to remind you dinner is at seven in the private dining room. Casual dress code. That woman would make it a casual Ball if she could get away with it." Blake said.
"We will be there," I told Blake, as I left his office and outer office.
I walked the short distance to the cottage with Garrison, as we went inside we could hear Raven and Spencer laughing.
"What is so funny, my love?" I asked Raven as I went to where she was sitting holding William.
"I let Spencer feed William, when he burped him he told Bre he did not need anything on his shoulder. I told him William always spit up a bit. He would not take the burp pad from Bre and well if you look at the back of his t-shirt you will see why we were laughing." Raven said.
"Did you learn a lesson son?" Garrison asked.
"Yup, don't ask to feed the baby." Spencer said laughing, then we all laughed with him.
"Dinner is at seven Raven, casual, no excuses." I told her taking off my jacket and taking William from Bre. I sat on the couch beside Raven.
"He is growing fast," Garrison said looking down at William.
"Can't keep the little pup fed he is always hungry." Raven said, reaching and touching William who was in my lap.
"Come on Spencer you need a shower before dinner, and we need to settle in our room." Garrison told Spencer.
HAWKIN'S POV
Clare love do you have everything packed that you need?" I asked walking into our large home.
"I think so, is Beth here to watch the pups yet?" Clare asked coming down the stairs with her suitcase and dress bag. I ran and took them from her.
"Yes, she is in the family room with them. Alpha said we are leaving in half an hour so hurry." I told her taking her things out to be packed in the car. We get there late today and the ball was tomorrow night. We were both excited that Alpha had chosen us to attend the ball with him and Luna Harriet.
Alpha passed me a cigar as we waited for the ladies.
"You know Hawk this will be good for you, it will put a face to all those letters you send out." Alpha Peter said after he lit his cigar.
"I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe some of these Alpha's will be angry that their son's need to get better grades to be accepted at Alpha school." I told him.
"They should have been on top of that if they wanted to send them to the speciality school." He replied.
"I'm here," Clare said excited they were going to the ball.
