You all have known I have waited many years for her to come to me. Raven, please come up on stage." I asked. Imara took her arm and helped her up the stairs and to come and stand beside me. The room was silent. Mother, sister, Beta, Elders and all pack members young and old I present to you your new Luna Raven. It was still quiet then old Tom and the other elders got up and bowed their heads Luna Raven. Suddenly every person in the room bowed their heads and said Luna Raven. Mother came back up onto the stage tears in her eyes.
"I Dorothy do pass down to you Raven the Luna crown. Do you promise to honor the crown and serve you pack giving all you have to them. To love them. Understand them and treat each person justly." Mother Said.
"I do,” Raven said Mother pinned the crown upon her heard and gave me Ravens hand.
"Raven do you accept me as you Alpha and the Fire sky pack as your pack, will you lay you life down for them?" I asked
"I Raven accept you as My Alpha, the Sky fire pack as my family, I would die to protect anyone." Raven said.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and turned with Raven to everyone that was inside and outside the main hall.
"I Your Alpha now ask you Sky Fire pack. Do you accept Raven as a pack member and as your Luna?" There was no pause no silence.
"We do." Everyone could be heard saying. Raven had silent tears. Lance passed me the ring. Raven as Luna I give you this ring. It represents all the past Lunas and those who may one day follow. I placed the ring on her right-hand middle finger. She then stood beside me as we swore in all those who had been waiting to be a members of the pack.
"Titan?" Raven linked me.
"Yes, my love?" I said in our link.
"Someone just linked me, saying I was a dead woman. 'If I wanted to live I should run and run now'.. I'm scared. She said. I closed the link and opened a link to our bodyguards.
"Raven was Just threatened get her upstairs now. Clear out the main hall and lock the doors. Valen latterly picked up Raven and ran with her Bre and Imara following. A woman grabbed my pant leg. I looked down it was Ivy. "I suggest you let go Ivy. I said to her. Then she fell to the ground an arrow in her back. I cradled her head in my lap. Ivy why were trying to get my attention I asked. Blood ran from her mouth
"Alpha... Ta...." she struggled to say something. Michael checked her and shook his head she had passed on. Tears fell from my eyes. Why would someone want to kill this woman. What did she know. A woman came running past the guards,
"Let me in, Ivy is my house mate." She was crying and screaming. She dropped on the floor and Took Ivy from me.
"No, my dear sister no." She cried holding Ivy's lifeless body close to her rocking and crying.
"What did she say to you Alpha?" Michael asked.
"She said Alpha Ti ..." then was gone. Take her and prepare her for her passage to our ancestors." I said.
"Come, my son let's go upstairs. Lance join us when you are done. Fran come bring the pups. We all went upstairs. Bre had changed Raven into yoga pants and a black hoodie that said " BITE ME" on the front. I chuckled and linked her. "Nice hoodie". and closed the link. She had a, confused look on her face. Then She asked Bre something. Then burst out laughing.
RAVEN'S POV
Last night we had the Luna ceremony and the acceptance of new pack members. Tonight, I dressed in a plain black dress and flats. Thunder had told Spirit about the huge brick tower that was in the middle of the lake tonight we would be using it. Ivy's body was laid out on a barge Bre explained to me for people to pay respects. When it got dark We all went down to the lake Titan stood with his arms around me from behind. Without letting go of me he told Ivy to have a safe journey to the afterlife. Then placed a dozen white roses by her hands. Titan whispered to me where he put them as he pulled me closer.
"Everyone has paid their respects, now they are covering her with white linen, they will row her out to the tower and place her body in the fourth slot of the tower. Under the fourth slot is wood and kindling." Titan said softly in my ear. The sky opened up and it began to rain. But we all stood there.
"Alpha, they are having a hard time starting the fire." I heard Valen tell Titan.
"Titan have them move from the tower, then point me directly in front of it. Tell me when they have all moved." I told him.
"What are you going to do?" He asked.
"Trust me, just put me in that direction my senses will do the rest." I told him.
"Ok everyone has moved and you are facing the tower." Titan said. I closed my eyes and found the scent if the wood and kindling I searched for the scent of Ivys dead body to make sure I had it right. Spirit suddenly guided my hand.
"together, Raven." Spirit told me. I dropped my hand and fire shot from my eyes setting the wood and kindling ablaze. I could hear the reaction of everyone. I just laid my head back on Titan. Nigel came over and whispered to me.
"Great job. We could always count on you to start the fire." He chuckled.
"You amaze me. Ok now the fire is burning the moon and sun are rising from either side of the tower. When they meet at the top of the tower the sky will burn red and Ivy's soul will rise and go to the afterlife." Titan explained as we stood there. We stood together the rain still pouring down on us.
"Safe Journey." Titan said. Then took my arm and we went back to the pack house. The fire burned through the night. Titan had fallen asleep long ago. But I laid there Listening to the fire burn. As I laid there I heard a voice in my head "Raven, I feel you close, I will escape." And then nothing else I did not recognize the voice. By the time the sun came up I had convinced myself it was just a dream. Me becoming a mother made me think more of my mother. For the next three months we settled into a routine and prepared for the arrival of our pup.
