Chapter 123 123
LANCE'S POV
Finally all the guests had gone home but Garrison. Titan said he could stay as long as he liked. Blake said he would be back in a week. Victor said he would let us know if he got any updates. It had been four days since the ceremony, and they had not found anyone. Ted and Sands pulled most of their men out leaving just a couple disguised as rouges. I pretty much left Titan and Raven alone unless it was something only Titan could deal with. But over all the only one who saw them was Bre and that was not very much. I was sitting in Titan's chair with my feet on his desk having a glass of whiskey before I called it a day. When the door opened and there stood Titan looking at me with one eyebrow raised and no smile. I took my feet off his desk and stood up quickly. "Alpha Titan," I said.
"Is this what you have been doing for the last four days. Drinking my whiskey and putting dirt from your boots on my desk?" he asked smirking. I exhaled the breath I did not realize I was holding.
"What brings you down here?" I asked lifting the bottle of whiskey to see if he wanted some. He nodded.
"Raven is having a nap. I figured I would see if there was any news on anything." Titan said.
"Nothing, everyone is still on curfew. People are asking how you and Raven are. I don't know what to tell anyone." I told Titan.
"I need you and Fran to plan right of passage for Roman, Nigel, Imara, and Kyle as well as Raven to become official pack members." Titan told me.
"Imara's month is not up," I reminded him.
"She has showed her dedication to the pack the day of the ceremony when she stood with the others and the bodyguards protecting Raven and I from anymore harm. She knew nothing about the vests." Titan said.
"When do you want to have it?" I asked.
"As soon as possible I hate not being able to link with Raven." Titan said.
"This will put you both open targets for whoever did not succeed the first time." I reminded him.
"We have to have it done there is a list on this desk somewhere of those who have come in the last six months they need to be included." Titan said looking for the list. He found it and handed it to me.
"I’m going down to have a couple beers with Tim if you need me." Titan said as he left. I locked the door and went home to see Fran. She was going to so excited to be arranging an event. It had been so long since we had a ceremony to add people to the pack I forgot what was involved. Hopefully Fran remembered.
CLARE'S POV (Raven’s mother)
I had been here over week if not almost two. I had not seen the man who brought me here. The room they put me in was beautiful the curtains were the same color as the comforter on the bed a pale blue the carpet was a rich thick dark blue. There was a sitting area and a kitchenette and a private bathroom. One wall had a bookcase full of every kind of book you could think of. This is what kept me busy was reading. They had put stuff on the kitchenette but brought me meals. Everyone was nice but I was asked to stay in my room, they said for my own safety. But I was starting to wonder. The woman Petra brought me everything I needed.
I stood looking out the window and saw the man who brought me here giving orders to his warriors. I knocked on the window, but he did not look up either he did not hear it or ignored it. I was startled when Petra came into the room.
"Sorry, miss I didn't mean to startle you. I have you lunch and a dress you are asked to wear to dinner to night in the dinning room with Alpha." She told me. I took the dress bag and opened it I was expecting to see something very inappropriate but to my surprise it was a very nice black dress, three quarters length the bodice was cut modesty. There were also a pair of flat black shoes.
"I will come for you at seven, miss. Enjoy your lunch." Petra said and left. Maybe at dinner he would tell me when I would get to see my Raven as he promised I thought I took and drank the tea and put the trolly out in the hall I was not very hungry. At six thirty I dressed for dinner and sat waiting for Petra. At five after seven there was a knock on my door, but Petra did not come in. I got up and slowly opened the door. There stood the man who brought me here.
"I came myself to escort you to dinner," he said smiling and offering me his arm. I went with him out into the hall and we walked down a bunch of stairs.
"I decided that it was to beautiful a night to be in the dinning room. I have set up dinner on the balcony that faces the garden." He said. Opening a door. I hesitated to go in it was a gentlemen’s bedroom.
"Disregard the room Clare, you have nothing to fear, I'm a perfect gentlemen and we will be having servers in and out of the room. So please come and join me." He said putting out his hand. I knew I could hurt him if he tried anything, and I wanted to know when I would see Raven.
"You will have to forgive me, but I don't even know your name," I said as I cautiously entered the room. He was at the table on the balcony pouring wine.
"Come, come, dear Clare, and forgive me I had business to deal with. I apologize. My name is Alpha Hunter." He said. I sat down at the table, and he passed me a glass of white wine.
"Are you celebrating something?" I asked.
"Oh, no not at all. I just thought we could have dinner and talk. It gets very boring having dinner alone don't you think." He asked.
"Over the years I have become accustomed to it." I told him.
"Why is that you had your mate and children." He said. Looking at me like he was totally interested in what I had to say.
"I lost Raven and my mate on the same night my son never forgave me for letting them take her. But I had no way to stop them. He stayed at the pack until he found his mate and went to her pack to live. Leaving me alone.
