Raven opened the box and touched the clear crystal earrings. As soon as she did they turned the same color as her necklace.
"Where did you get those?" Mother asked.
"An Ancestor brought them to me two days ago." I told her. She nodded her head in understanding.
"Ok out. Send in the girls and get cleaned up." Mother said. Shooing me after I kissed Raven on the forehead.
"Valen get out too." Mother said helping Raven to the couch.
TALA'S POV
I was so mad at Titan. When we were pups, he was my best friend all through grade school until Lance came along and took him from me. After that it was like I did not exist anymore. Sure, he would sat hi in passing like he did everyone else. But if I went up to talk to him he would quickly excuse himself that he had stuff to do. When We all hit our sixteenth year he avoided all females. Only talking to us when there was special occasions. I never found my mate in the pack. I hoped Titan would see me as the woman I had become but no. Then came the rumors that his mate was making the journey here. But I was still hopeful. Then in the past four years he started talking to the young girls, like Jessica and her friends. This made my blood boil I was more woman then any of them. Then that rouge came, that blind rouge.
"Tala, where is your head. What are you wearing to the wedding today?" Ivy asked.
"I'm not going." I told her and got up from the table and put my teacup in the sink.
"Why not?" She asked.
"Because I don't feel like it." I told her.
"Tala, you still don't have a crush on Titan do you?" Ivy asked.
"I'm not eight any more Ivy, that is long gone. I just don't see the point how she can ever be our Luna blind." I said taking stuff out of the fridge to make salad for later.
"Everyone is accepting her as our Luna. Did you see her wolf last night? Wait you were at the laundry; well, she is majestic pure red the size of an Alpha wolf. Titan walked so proudly beside her. You should come. I can't wait to see her wedding dress." Ivy said.
"You ramble to much Ivy, I'm not interested. Nothing to do with anyone. I just don’t think a disabled person like that can be Luna." I said.
"What are you going to do sit and watch television all night. Do you know how many single men are walking around here right now who know, maybe I will find my mate." Ivy said.
"I wish you luck with that Ivy." I said putting the salad in the fridge throwing the unusable parts of the vegetables out to the rabbits in the backyard.
"Are you sure you will not come with me?" Ivy asked.
"I'm sure. I have a headache starting Dr. Michael needs to change my medication for these headaches. I'm going to lay down you have fun. Wish them the best from me." I said as I started up the stairs to my room. Ivy and I had lived in this house now for almost ten years. Right out if high school our parents put us in the woman’s population. Ivy was hurt by it. I called it freedom. I went into my room and locked the door. I got everything ready I needed and laid it out on the bed. I just had to be sure I was back in bed, and everything was under the floorboards when they started knocking on doors. It was the middle of September, so it got dark early I just hoped it was dark enough.
RAVEN'S POV
Everyone was fussing over me. They kept checking my head. Just cover it over with my hair I had told them. I was happy it was not on my face that would not have looked good.
I was still nervous about the vision I had but Luna told me it could be nothing. Not that I believed her.
"Raven, calm down, tonight we mark our mate, and we will have such a strong bond." Spirit said to me.
"Spirit I'm excited for that, it is being in public and everyone watching. Until I had that vision I was excited about everything." I told her.
"Raven you will be fine; you look so beautiful I want to cry. We really did pick a dress that is perfect for you." Spirit said.
"I can't see what I look like, so what does it matter." I snapped at her.
"Go to the mirror Raven." Spirit said.
"Why?" I asked her.
"Please, I want to try something." Spirit begged.
"Bre is there a full-length mirror anywhere?" I asked.
"Yes, Titan has one, why?" Bre asked.
"Can you move it out here please." I asked.
"I will help," Kendra said.
"What is this about?" Luna Loria asked.
"I don't know. Spirit wants to try something." I told her.
"We have the mirror out, what now?" Bre asked.
"Can you help me stand in front of it please?" I asked. Bre and Kendra both had me take their arms they were afraid of me falling again.
"Ok you're in front of the mirror." Kendra said. I could feel Bre and Kendra behind me.
"Ready?" Spirit asked.
"I guess," I said. Suddenly I could feel her coming forward like she would when we shifted. But she stopped before the shift started. I heard Bre, and Kendra inhale deeply.
"Raven your eyes." Bre said.
"Look into the mirror, Raven." Spirit said.
I raised my head and looked into the mirror my eyes were a deep purple, but I could see. I reached up and touched my face, then I touched my dress running my hand over it. Then I looked at Bre and Kendra they were both so beautiful. I started to cry as I stood there.
"What is happening?" Luna Loria asked.
"Spirit started to shift then stopped these are her eyes. I can see everything with her eyes." I said then the darkness came back.
"Sorry Raven I could not hold it any longer. But you got to see how beautiful you are." Spirit said. Rubbing her eyes.
"Spirit did you hurt yourself to do that for me?" I asked fearing she had.
"Just sore and tired now," Spirit said and laid down.
"Raven?" Kendra said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You need to lay down, and Dr Michael is coming. " Bre said helping me to lay on the bed. Someone put a cool cloth over my eyes.
I head Dr. Michael come in and Luna Loria tell him what Spirit had done.
"Look at her eyes Michael, they are bleeding." Luna Loria cried.
