Chapter 52

Chapter 52
Andrew remained expressionless, "What about you? The Jonson family has everything. Why did you come back?"

Daniel smiled, "The Jonson family has everything. Why do you stick around my family?"

Andrew frowned but didn't speak.

Daniel looked Andrew up and down with a smug expression and said, "No wonder your father doesn't like you. You look like you don't want to be near anyone. How can you compare to someone as cute, friendly and endearing as me?"

Andrew's pupils slightly contracted as if Daniel had struck a nerve.

He glared at Daniel and then walked back to his bedroom.

Now Andrew understood why the Jonson family had not sent anyone to find him in these past few days.

Daniel followed Andrew into his bedroom and looked around, "Wow, do you have OCD or something? Your room is as clean as a lady's chamber!"

"Daniel, you look like a beggar," Andrew sneered and calmly said, "If the Jonson family can't find you, they will search the entire city."

"Oh, really?" Daniel snorted twice, "Don't forget that the one the Jonson family can't find is you!"

Andrew's face stiffened.

Daniel lay down lazily on the bed, showing a satisfied smile, "The bed at home is still the most comfortable. Hmm, it smells like my mother…"

Seeing his lazy appearance, Andrew's brow furrowed. He still remained silent.

Daniel propped his head up with his small hands and looked at Andrew quietly before asking, "Andrew, why do you think we look so similar?"

Andrew raised his eyebrows coldly, looking very much like Michael.

He sneered disdainfully and swept a glance at Daniel, "In the world, the only possibility of two identical people is that they are twins."

"Twins?" Daniel widened his eyes. For the first time in his five years of life, he heard this term and was very surprised, "What is a twin?"

Andrew couldn't help rolling his eyes, feeling contemptuous of Daniel's stupidity.

"To put it simply, twins are organisms that are born with two individuals from one pregnancy. Identical twins are when one fertilized egg splits into two cells before implantation and then develops into two individuals. Obviously, that is our situation."

Andrew spoke confidently, but Daniel listened with confusion.

After a while, Daniel suddenly slapped his head, "You mean, you and I are twins, and we were born from the same mother?"

Andrew shrugged. If the information he had read was true, then yes.

"Oh my God…" Daniel became excited, and his small body bounced up from the bed. He grabbed Andrew's shoulder and shook him vigorously, "We were born from the same mother? Then what about our father? Is your father my father?"

Andrew frowned, "Daniel, stop shaking me! You're making me dizzy."

"Oh." Daniel immediately smiled brightly and let go of his hand. "Quick, answer me..."

Andrew rubbed his dizzy forehead, glanced at Daniel disdainfully, "It's terrifying to be uneducated. Medical science shows that in situations like ours, we can only be siblings with the same biological parents."

"Ah!" Daniel suddenly screamed.

Andrew quickly put his finger in his ear.

"Hahaha... so my father isn't dead, your father is my father, Yo-ho~ Daniel has a dad, hahaha..." Daniel rolled excitedly on the bed, messing up Andrew's neatly folded blanket.

He shouted happily, "Andrew, is my mom your mom too?"

"Mm." Andrew replied calmly. Ever since he knew that there was someone like Daniel in the world, he had secretly searched for information, and when he found out about twins, he realized that the person exactly like him was his twin brother.

This realization had secretly made him happy for a long time, especially after he found out that Daniel's mother was his mother too, he was even more excited.

However, he was always calm and introverted, and did not express his happiness like Daniel.

"Awesome! Then you are my little brother!" Daniel thought today was the happiest day. Not only did he find out about his father's existence, but he also gained a new little brother. He thought he would wake up laughing from his dreams.

Andrew pursed his lips, "I am the older brother."

"You are the younger brother," Daniel insisted.

Andrew frowned and ignored Daniel, going straight to the writing desk, opening a drawer, pulling out a stack of papers, and throwing them in front of Daniel. "Whoever has worse grades is the younger brother."

Perhaps due to being with Michael for a long time, Andrew was used to proving himself through strength.

Daniel took the papers and saw his terrible grades. He pouted, "I hate it..."

Then, when he looked at the terrifying papers that Andrew had supposedly written for him, Daniel was shocked. "100 points, 100 points, 100 points... another 100 points! Andrew, are you even human?"

"Hmm." Andrew's lips curled slightly, revealing a trace of a subtle and imperceptible smile of satisfaction.

He didn't know that the better he did on exams, the more of a disaster he was for Daniel.

"Oh... I can't stand it anymore..." Daniel covered his eyes with his hands, pretending to be old and feeble.

Finally, he couldn't stand it anymore and shouted miserably at Andrew, "Andrew, you exam maniac, how am I supposed to live in the future..."

Andrew glanced at Daniel who was acting like a child, his lips twitching. "Accept your fate, younger brother!"

"I don't want to... I'm the older brother..." Daniel said weakly.

Andrew couldn't be bothered to deal with him anymore, so he picked up Daniel's school bag, habitually dusted it off, "You should go back now, or else Grandpa and Grandma will worry."

"Why is it me who has to go back?" Daniel pouted, dissatisfied. "That place is your home, isn't it!"

Andrew looked at Daniel seriously and shook his head. "That's not home..."

For the past five years, Andrew had been the model child in the Jonson family, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get a single glance from his father. Instead, at the Brown family, he had his mother's love, which made him realize who was the best person for him.

"Andrew, you can't monopolize Mommy!" Daniel jumped out of bed and said, "I want Mommy to know I'm back."

Just as Daniel was about to run out of the room, Evelyn came in from outside.

"Ah, Daniel, you..."

She looked at the ropes scattered beside the stool and hugged Daniel. "I am so sorry, my child. Don't blame Grandpa. He was just anxious for a moment..."

Daniel was stunned by her sudden embrace and couldn't say a word for a while.

Then, reflexively, he looked at the bedroom where Andrew was still inside.

Silence.

"Grandma, Daniel doesn't blame you." Daniel reached out her small hand and patted Evelyn's shoulder to comfort her.

"Daniel..." Evelyn choked up for a moment. "You're such a good child..."
