CHAPTER 8A

As Xavier stepped into the vibrant club, his mind was clouded with frustration and a burning desire to escape his impending marriage. The music throbbed through the air, the pulsating beats resonating with his tumultuous emotions. Seeking solace in the dimly lit corners, he found himself drowning his troubles in a sea of alcohol.

The atmosphere was electric, bodies swaying to the rhythm of the music, and a haze of smoke hung in the air. Xavier's eyes scanned the crowd, searching for a temporary reprieve from his looming responsibilities.

His gaze swept over the provocatively dressed women. Desperate to escape his looming fate, he sought solace in the arms of a temporary distraction, someone who could momentarily make him forget about his impending doom.

And then he saw her—a woman with a magnetic presence, her eyes full of mischief and allure.

Their gazes locked, and without uttering a word, they shared an unspoken understanding. Xavier made his way toward her. As he approached, the woman's lips curved into a knowing smile, sensing his inner turmoil.

"Care to dance?" she asked, her voice a seductive whisper that sent shivers down Xavier's spine.

As they swayed and twirled on the dance floor, the outside world faded into obscurity, consumed by their shared desire for freedom and uninhibited expression.

Alex noticed Xavier in the midst of his passionate embrace with the woman, and decided to intervene.

He gently unraveled his arms from the woman he had been flirting with and approached Xavier, tapping him on the shoulder.

"Excuse us for a moment, I need to borrow my friend," Alex said, his tone firm yet friendly.

Xavier, irritated by the interruption, turned to face Alex with a raised eyebrow.

"Can't you see I'm busy here?"

"Yes, I can see that, and that's precisely why we need to talk," Alex replied, his voice steady and determined.

Xavier reluctantly released his grip on the woman, planting a final hot and passionate kiss on her lips before assuring her, "Don't go anywhere, I'll be right back." With a playful slap on her behind, he walked away, Alex trailing behind him.

"Hurry up, Alex. I have a woman waiting for me, and a night of fun ahead. What's so important that you had to spoil the moment?" Xavier grumbled, eager to return to his indulgences.

"I just wanted to remind you that you're getting married tomorrow, remember?" Alex replied, his voice tinged with concern.

Xavier shrugged dismissively.

"So what?"

"I don't think engaging in such activities the night before your wedding is a good idea," Alex cautioned.

"But it's my bachelor party," Xavier retorted with a sly grin, his eyes dancing with mischief.

"And as the reluctant groom, I intend to seize this last taste of freedom with both hands. After all, what's a wedding without a wild night of indulgence?"

His voice carried a hint of rebellion, as if daring anyone to challenge his unyielding spirit.

"And mark my words, even after the vows are exchanged, I shall remain a fearless adventurer, embracing the exhilarating lifestyle of a bachelor. No one can tame me, for I am the untamed spirit of untold desires."

Alex shook his head, a mixture of concern and exasperation crossing his face. "Xavier, I get it. It's your bachelor party and you want to have a good time. But remember, tomorrow is your wedding day. Don't you think it's important to start this new chapter on the right foot?"

"Oh, Alex, always the voice of reason. But don't worry, my friend. This night won't define my commitment to Aurora, or lack thereof. It's just one last taste of freedom before taking the plunge."

"Be careful, Buddy. Sometimes, the choices we make in the heat of the moment can have lasting consequences."

"Dude, stop acting like an old man. What happened to my playboy friend, Alex?" Xavier taunted.

Alex frowned "You can have a good time without getting completely wasted, you know."

Xavier rolled his eyes, dismissing Alex's advice.

"Blah, blah, blah. I'm not in the mood to listen to your lectures, today. I'm going to enjoy my last night as a bachelor."

Alex leaned in closer. "

Just don't forget the prenuptial agreement. Infidelity, remember?"

With a dismissive wave, Xavier replied,

"I appreciate your concern, Alex, but I'll be fine. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a beautiful woman waiting for me." He turned back to the woman he had been with, giving her a playful wink. "Shall we continue where we left off, my dear?"

The woman grinned, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Absolutely, handsome. But do you mind if a friend of mine joins us?"

Xavier's smile widened.

"Oh, I don't mind at all. The more, the merrier. Lead the way."

"I'll catch up with you later, Alex. Enjoy the rest of the party, but remember, no more interruptions!" With a mischievous grin, he took the woman's hand and led her away, disappearing into the pulsating crowd of the party, leaving Alex standing there, his worries lingering in the air.

As Xavier and the woman vanished into the VIP room, Alex couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. He hoped his friend wouldn't regret his choices and that the consequences wouldn't overshadow the happiness that awaited him on his wedding day.

"Another round for my friends," Xavier confidently order the cocktail waitress as he enjoyed the VIP area of the club.

"Sure thing," she replied, her gaze lingering on Xavier appreciatively, and a flirtatious smile graced her lips.

She's undeniably attractive, but he already had his hands full - quite literally.

The club was ablaze with energy, a cacophony of music and flashing lights, creating a wild and intoxicating atmosphere. Xavier's request for another round was met with a friendly smile from the waitress who brought him his drink.

"Here you go, handsome. Your drinks," she purred, her voice barely audible over the pounding bass. "And if there's anything else you need, and I mean anything, just holler."

"I'll keep that in mind," Xavier acknowledged her with an appreciative gaze. "Thank you my love," he replied, his eyes subtly tracing her figure.

Alex, always the voice of reason, chimed in "Buddy, go easy. I think you've had enough for the night."

Xavier waved off his concern, flashing a devil-may-care smile.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. It's my bachelor party, and it's a big hit. I couldn't feel better. In fact, I'm feeling out of this world."

"Don't forget us," the blonde woman chimed in, giggling with her friend.

"As if I could," Xavier retorted, winking playfully. The brunette handed him his drink while she downed one for herself.

He hastily consumed his whiskey in three large gulps, barely tasting it until the final swallow. The world around him was becoming a hazy, frenetic blur.

"Buddy," Alex called out to his friend, his expression filled with concern as he observed Xavier's growing state of inebriation.

"Look Buddy, if news of this gets out, your dad could strip you of everything you hold dear. Cheating on Aurora right now is not an option. Think about it. The prenuptial agreement is not something to be taken lightly."

"Alex, I'm not married yet, so infidelity is out of the question. And who's gonna tell Dad anyway?" Xavier slurred, his speech growing increasingly muddled.

Alex, realizing there was little he could do to prevent this train wreck, simply sat back, concern etched on his face.

As the night wore on, Xavier lost track of how much he'd had to drink. His newfound companions had become exceedingly affectionate, both with him and with each other.

***************

As Xavier led the women to the elevator, in the midst of the pulsating chaos, Xavier desperately tried to push thoughts of Aurora out of his mind. Despite never having met her, he harbored an intense disdain towards her, an aversion that had been planted deep within him.

He handed over my credit card without a second thought, and before he knew it, we're stepping inside the elevator. One of the girls dropped to her knees, and began undoing his pants while the other one kissed him.

At this point, he couldn't distinguish who's who, and he didn't care. The slide of the elevator doors closing and the hum of it moving barely register as their passionate actions intensify.

After their quick tryst in the elevator, Xavier claimed the car keys as they arrived at the club's entrance. Anticipation surged through his veins as he settled into the driver's seat, his muscles tensed and ready for the night ahead. Revving up the engine, he glanced at his companions beside him.

"Ready for a thrilling night?"

"Always," came the womrn's confident reply. Xavier responded by pressing down on the accelerator, propelling them out of the parking lot with a burst of speed.

As his hands tightly gripped the steering wheel, the women attempted to seduce him, seeking to distract him from his inner turmoil. But Xavier was resolute in his quest to forget about Aurora, even if only for one night.

With a surge of determination, he pressed harder on the accelerator, craving the rush of speed to drown out the incessant thoughts that plagued him. The adrenaline pumping through his veins momentarily overpowering the bitterness that had taken root within him.

***********

Inside his apartment, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. The women's touch was seductive, their every movement tempting his senses. In the haze of alcohol, Xavier's inhibitions dissolved, and his body surrendered to the passionate desires that momentarily eclipsed his troubled thoughts.

Bodies entwined, exploring each other with fervor as the night wore on, their physical connection momentarily drowning out the complexities of Xavier's inner turmoil.
