Bonus Chapter 13

“Andrius, you know that I have a job, too. You don't even make time for your son.” I quickly got up from my seat and pointed at his chest in so much anger. I couldn't stop but to shout at him. It seemed all of the veins in my body were quivering in anger. He didn't flinch when he watched what I was doing to him. “Why are you always like this? You always choose your work! I can't believe that you did this to your son!”

“Why are you yelling at me? What makes you different from me? Didn't you forget that you did the same, right? If you didn't put in your work, I'm sure that you will not miss his performance too, and you might be watching him.” His voice wasn't loud, but his words made me anger more as if he was blaming me. I sarcastically laughed at him and shook my head. I couldn't believe that I heard those words coming from his mouth.

“Then, you're blaming me that you missed his performance?” I was sure that my face was displeased, and I hid my emotions so fast.

"That's not what I'm trying to say, okay?"

"No, that's what are you trying to imply, that's my fault!"

"I'm exhausted, I want-—”

“So I am I!” I didn't want to stop what I was doing. I didn't want to stop the fight especially when he was blaming me. He was supposed to walk past me when I pushed him back. “What? Are you trying to run away again from our conversation?”

“Please! Please, Caroline! I begging with you. I'm fatigued now, and I don't want a fight with you.” He shut his eyes tightly and pulled my hand, holding his chest. He walked passed by me while I couldn't believe that he had left me alone, and didn't bother to explain.

I woke up because of Johnny's touch. I didn't even bother to sleep in our room and decided to sleep on our sofa. When I looked around, I didn't see Andrius's key hanging on the wall which made me think that he had already left. He didn't bother to wake me up because he wanted us to be just like this in the end. If he wanted us to be fought, then I wouldn't think twice but to give what he had deserved.

“Johnny, do you want to accompany me while I'm working?” I forced myself to smile while I was watching that he was still playing. He nodded at me even though he was he wasn't looking at me. I quickly carried him to our bedroom to take a shower. When I was finalized, I put five pieces of his pair of clothes in his bag. We wouldn't go home here willingly. After all, Adams didn’t know where my next photoshoot was; I was sure he wouldn't find us.

“No wonder your son is attractive! Caroline, you are beautiful!” My make-up artist happily made a compliment on me. I smiled at her as Johnny hugged me. I combed my son's hair as the woman continued to ask questions. “But I still don't see your husband yet. Maybe your husband is handsome, too? Because your child's face looks perfect.”

I didn't answer her but only looked in the mirror. I didn't know how to leave Johnny later when we needed to go on stage.

"Jennifer, is it okay if I leave Johnny with you later while I'm walking on stage?" Even though I was embarrassed, I dared to ask her. I looked around where Johnny and I could later lie down. It looked like we had somewhere to sleep because they prepared a folding bed for me.

"Of course, ma'am!" she answered while she was ironing my hair while she was still laughing.

I took my bag and took out some money. I handed her the paper money while she was behind me. "Here."

I saw her eyes widen as she looked at me in the mirror. I could see that she couldn't believe what I was giving her. Well, I wouldn't give away my money; I wanted to give it to her because it had been too long since she had been working as my makeup artist.

It wasn't too long before I had to leave Johnny with her. Johnny didn't complain because Jennifer seemed friendly and didn't disturb him. As I walked on the stage, I couldn’t help but think about my fight with Andrius. I didn’t know how long we would be in this situation.

However, two days had passed, but Andrius didn't bother to look at us. I didn't expect him to find us right away, but it was probably not that difficult to locate us because we were not hiding.

“Mom, when is the time that I will see Daddy?” Johnny asked while his eyes were full of sadness. I looked at him as he lay on my lap. I kissed his forehead, so I slowly tapped him so he could sleep.

“Why are you asking me? Do you want to see your Daddy?” I inquired. He only nodded until he was entirely swallowed by somnolence. I, on the other hand, just leaned over and felt like I had a headache. I didn't know what to do so that he would stop from asking where his daddy was. I wanted Andrius to do something to find us, but it seemed like he didn't have any plans to locate us. Today we didn't have a shoot, but I didn't want to go home, so we would still stay here.

As tiredness slowly took me away, I almost jumped when I suddenly heard a scream from the outside. I checked on Johnny to see if he was awake, but he was still peacefully asleep. I closed my eyes again, but it was as if my heart was taken away when someone suddenly lifted Johnny. As I opened my eyes, I saw his father, Andrius, staring darkly at me while he was grabbing my bag. He also took my hand, so I quickly stood up.

"Hey! What are you doing? Let go of me!” I removed his hand from my wrist, but he didn't let go. There were some people were already peeking at us. Even Jennifer was already gazing at me while her mouth was wide open. She couldn’t believe there was a man like Adonis in front of her. She blinked her eyes a few times before she vanished from my sight.

Everything was so fast, and I found myself inside Andrius's car. He didn't speak to me, but he made sure that I was in the front seat. He handed Johnny to me before he started his engine. He was so silent that made me didn't even know what I was going to say to him. I thought that he didn't have plans to take us because it took him a few days when he came to us. However, slowly I felt that I was selfish and immature because of what I had done. I was only furious and shouldn't run away with our child. I must think that we were already married, and we should always make sure that we would talk about what was the matter despite that we were fighting.

"I'm sorry." He broke the silence. I didn't say anything and moved my head so I could look outside.

“It's all my fault.” He added.
