Chapter 37
"There is a soothsayer camp there, what says you about us going there take a sneak peek at it?" Olivia inquired as she glared sweetly at the man in front of her.
Olivia didn't think this was really a good idea, but that was what she had to pick, and the manner in which she glared at the man was just so beautiful, more than anything she has ever got to experience before.
In Ashton's mind, he didn't really think of following Olivia to see a voodoo, that was weird, but the look the lady had on her face told him otherwise, and he knew one thing, he didn't have a choice other than doing what the lady wants.
Heaving a gentle sigh, the young man swirled his attention towards the man's mind was literally just blown out.
"if that is what you want then let's go see the witch," Ashton spat out provocatively.
His manner of behaving caused the young lady to gasp. Olivia hadn't seen that coming, and she halted her words as she decided to make things work by trying her best to accelerate the issues, especially when she tries on making it clear.
"Oh no! Ashton, you didn't call the soothsayer a witch do you? she isn't a witch, and you should be happy she is not one if not she would have to cast a spell on you," Olivia muttered and Ashton finished it in the most terrible way that could exist in the world.
"If that spell will make you fall in love with me then let's go cause the practitioner to bewitch you," He spat out.
That was one hell of a thing to say, and immediately the words left his mouth, Ashton walked away without looking back, that was kind of weird doing so, but then, what more does she expect from a man like him? nothing, absolutely nothing at all. The truth is that you man had breathed the words so fast to make it look like a joke and the moment he finished saying the words, he dashed out of the area, hurrying to somewhere safe, to a place that doesn't need too much commotion. That was awkward and in most cases a very strange manner of doing such things but what more can she even do about it, she wondered faintly. Shaking her head violently, the lady wrinkled these things from her mind as she tried her best to actually make things work out for her, this is the most essential part especially ss she chased Ashton, and the young man halted in front of the fortune teller's house. The effect is that Olivia crashed on his back as she held him tight for support.
"Oh my God! Ashton, shake it, I almost fell, and ouch! I've bumped my head as well," she confessed.
It was very sad saying this and as she rubbed her hand against her head, Ashton suddenly gave her his full attention as he helped her in massaging her forehead. It was soft, and it almost made him cry. That was only an illusion, that shit wasn't true, and before they knew what was going on, they both heard a large baritone talking to them.
"Who do we have here? two cuties helping one another out. You both are welcome to Leila's The Fortune Teller. Enter into my stall so that we can get started," she invited sweetly.
Leila is an old lady of about fifty years__ well quite old, she had fine lines of white hair that carved her beautiful hair, that was extremely beautiful, and truth be told Olivia adored it. She was clad in a plaid skirt with the hem of it having little flowers attached to it, and since it was too long, it swept the floor and carried dust on the edge. Leila didn't seem to care about it, in fact, what does she care about all those things, especially as they didn't quite make a lot of difference, the effect wasn't the best, and the more she had her mind clutched to it, there is nothing the young people can do about it.
The young people barely cared about anything, in fact, they tried their best to mind their business.
When they arrived at the center of the camp house, it had a small table with a magic ball in it just like the ones Olivia had grown up seeing in cartons where the fortune tellers use it to read the future in it after some incantations. For a moment, the lady's heart tripped a moment, but she considered it as being normal, thus she was now left of focusing on what is in front of her.
"My name is Leila, and I am the fortune teller, if you both don't mind, can you sit?" Leila asked saying it to Ashton and Olivia as she swayed her hand around welcoming them.
She wasn't smiling, and that might be because she didn't find reasons in doing so, but then, that is awkward, because she had clients in front of them, and on a second note, they all thought that there was some kind of chairs waiting for them there, but that was impossible, all these things didn't work out the way Olivia had planned it to be, but now that they are in here, there is no way she can leave.
Since there were no chairs, Olivia first sat on the cold floor, and as she looked up, she nodded her head lightly, inviting the young man to join him as well.
To Ashton, this was some kind of fetish practice, it made him want to grow mad, but then, on a second note, it didn't kind of make sense like the way he had planned it to be, the moment he had his mind made up to enter this place, Ashton was immediately ready tor whatever news he is going to hear, be it good news or bad news.
"How much is the fortune teller price?" Olivia asked nicely.
Olivia wanted the lady in front of her to name her price because she is going to pay, at least for the fact that she is doing her work and she needs to have a little confidence in herself.
"Two thousand five hundred francs, Ma'am, and there is the payment box at the entrance of the door," Leila muttered.
The price was small, and it kind of made Olivia wonder if Leila was authentic or not, but she did not mind, the fair was a place for her to have ultimate fun, and that is the truth about the matter.
Olivia opened her little bag and removed the money from her purse as she walked towards it. That was enough to make things happen good for them, and she did have plans want to leave in case the lady didn't know her job quite well.
Returning to her seat on the floor beside Ashton, the moment she put her buttocks on the floor, the lady was shocked by the fact that things are working well more than the way she had thought about.
"Why aren't you both in a relationship? I mean, you both look breathtaking but aren't dating, why?" Leila asked gently.
It was a gentle way of asking the nicest questions and it made the blood in the lady's body pump in her head. Olivia hadn't seen this question coming, and as she lifted her hand, she wasn't surprised when she saw Ashton beside her and his warmth curled him up. That was magical, and for a moment, she felt like she wanted to kiss him, but that was an impossible mission.
'How do u explain to Leila that we are not dating? in fact, coming to this fair is like a boss and employer affair,' Olivia soar out to herself.
She wasn't really feeling comfortable and truth be told, Olivia will forever remain grateful for the young man that decided to talk for her.
That feeling is one that can never be retrieved seriously.
"Olivia is my guest, and she just arrived at Lendamor this evening, so that is impossible for us to date," Ashton explained in his soft voice.
He had a soft way of explaining this situation, and although that is weird, there is practically nothing he can really do tonight. He was in front of a fortune teller. Good enough for him, the young man didn't say anything because it wouldn't quite make a lot of sense right now and his mind is just fucking fucked up with no way to run too.
Leila brushed that question aside as she opened her small purse and removed an ointment from it, opened it, and rubbed it on her hands.
"How did you know that we aren't dating, I mean, we didn't tell him anything when we walked in here," Olivia muttered out in frustration.
That was a very weird way of saying these things, in fact, it didn't do her much good, but then, she simply had to ask this question, and the more she glared at the man in front of her, she clearly didn't find it funny more__ well until Leila came in to clarify her doubts.
"I am a fortune teller, and I know everything when I see them, but let me remind you, I just say the things that come to my mind, and it will be your turn to judge it if it is true or not, nothing more," Leila muttered out.
Olivia nodded her head lightly as she noticed that the question she might have asked might be actually stupid, thus, she decided to keep her mouth shut and allow the wave of shock to consume her.
Like seriously, she didn't quite find it funny, but then, nothing at all is funny as well, apart from the fact that things aren't quite working well for her.
Leila instantly fell silent as he focused on what she had been doing before she was being interrupted, it wasn't really funny, but then, what more can she do about it, she wondered faintly.
This is actually a situation that ain't funny at all, the old lady was focused on the crystal ball in front of her and she spoke out for a brief moment.
"Can I have your right hands, please?" Leila asked Ashton and Olivia, but they hesitated for a minute. When they had no choice other than to give their hands, Ashton started and Olivia trailed behind her.
It was now one minute, and Leila's eyes were still closed. The moment they opened them, Olivia knew it was a moment of war, in fact, Leila's face showed the content of her mouth, and she had to reveal it out because she was being paid for it.
That wasn't literally funny, but then no one wants to get involved with such people, especially when it doesn't make a lot of sense, and might just lead to people doing whatever they want to.
"What, Leila, is it that bad?" the young lady asked as her heartbeat accelerated.
She definitely had reasons to ask all of these questions, it was worth it, but then, why more can Olivia do other than wait to hear from the fortune teller.
In case she does not know, she would have to wait for long because here is Leila and she is ready to spit out what she had seen about the two of them.
Leila's eyes were now on Olivia's own, she had something to say, and that was very important, and she knows about it as well.
"Your future is bright, but I see a plot against you, young lady, it will be fun and entertaining, but the consequences from it are one that you will have to regret it the whole of your life," Leila muttered out.
Olivia stared at the lady for a moment, and as if she couldn't believe what the lady had just said, she burst out laughing in a funny voice, it was totally fun for her.
