Chapter 85 Brunch
“Oooh” Fernando realized that the general public including Ana still thinks he is still in a relationship with Silvia. But now that Ana is alive he will make an announcement to the general public that he has long ended his relay with Silvia.
“Silvia and I have long broken up. She is not my fiancee anymore”
Ana found it funny “She is not your fiancee anymore? Are you kidding me?”
“Why would I Ana, why would I tell a lie? Our relationship ended after I found out she had deceived me with a fake pregnancy six years ago. So I ended the relationship long ago. Yes the public still think we are in a relationship because I have not bothered to address it but I will do that very soon.
Ana was surprised to hear what he said. All this time she thought he had only delayed not marrying Silvia but did not know that their relationship had ended a long time ago.
“You both had really acted all lovey dovey during my company event so it’s hard to believe,” Ana said remembering how Silvia raised her shoulder high that day.
“That’s her putting up a show to the public. She takes a lot of pride in still being called my fiancee”
Ana looked at him to see if he was saying the truth “If you say so” Ana said and looked back at her phone when she received a message from her assistant.
Fernando kept his eyes on her. They said nothing more to each other until the food came and they had to wake Thea to eat.
Thea did not want to wake up but smiled happily when she saw the delicious food in front of her that smelled heavenly.
Thea cleaned her eyes and smiled.
Fernando stared at his daughter with so much affection.
“It’s time to eat baby” Ana said to her.
Thea nodded and took her seat after Fernando allowed her seat on her own.
Instead of eating, he watched the mother and daughter enjoy their meal in silence.
I liked the fact that Ana had made sure to teach Thea table manners and how to use her cutleries properly.
He smiled and felt so much happiness in his heart.
Ana noticed he was not eating “You are not eating?
“I will,” Fernando said.
Thea looked at him but did not say anything to him and just went back to the food. She was yet to say a real word to him.
Fernando smiled at her and she smiled back.
His heart felt warm when she smiled at him. Little by little he will gain her love. He had lost six years but he had more years and a lifetime to go.
After the brunch they left the restaurant.
Ana's driver and bodyguard had returned home so Fernando had taken her and Thea home.
His maybach drove into the mansion in the well secured estate.
Fernando felt pleased with how big the mansion was.
“Thank you for not allowing her to lack anything,” he said to her.
Ana smiled "Remember when I told you I will become a billionaire and spend as lavishly as I wanted? Ana asked him.
She recalled when he called her a social climber and told her she will only get to spend lavishly once in her life. But now she proved him wrong.
Fernando looked at her and nodded “And you fulfilled your dreams” he was glad she proved him wrong
Ana smiled “Thanks for bringing us home Mr Buenavista. We will both speak later on days you can spend time with her since you can’t do it everyday”
“I will come spend time with her whenever I want,” he said.
Ana did not want to argue with him so she took hold of her daughter's hand “Come on Thea, let’s go in?”
Thea nodded and they both got down from the car.
Fernando watched as she took Thea into the house.
He had thought she would invite him in but it seems he was being too forward with his expectations.
Today was fun for him. His daughter was not speaking to him yet but at least she slept in his arms. One step at a time.
The next day
Silvia had gone out shopping in one of her favorite brands when she had come across some of her friends shopping too.
She saw they were talking about her before she had approached where they were standing.
They smiled the moment she got to them.
“Hey Silvia,” one of them said.
“Hey,” Silvia said to them.
“You came to shop?” They asked.
“Yes I did,” Silvia said.
The both ladies looked at each other.
Why are both of you acting weird?” Silvia asked them.
“I thought you said Fernando is planning to marry you soon?”
Silvia frowned but covered it with a smile “Yes ofcourse, we will soon start preparation of our wedding”
The both ladies looked at each other and held their laughter.
Silvia frowned at their behaviour “What is the meaning of that?” She questioned them.
“Sorry, but that is what you have been saying for years Silvia you are in your thirties now and he is yet to marry you” One of them said mockingly.
Silvia frowned “That’s because he has been so busy trying to expand his empire and also In case you both forgot I had lost both of my parents in an accident. I’m still mourning”
They both knew she was lying.
“Do you think Fernando plans on marrying you? And haven’t you thought about the fact that he might have a child?” One of them asked.
Silvia's face turned to that of anger “Shut your mouth, stop spreading false rumors. Fernando wants to marry me and if he has a child I will be the first to know. And also I’m the only one who will bear his children” Silvia said but the look she saw on their faces made her feel there was something else.
“You sure?” They laughed.
“What do you mean? What exactly do both of you know that I do not?” Silvia asked.
“Should we tell her?” one did then asked the other.
“I think we should?” The other one said.
Silvia clenched her fist already losing her patience on these two “Just say it!!” She shouted, making the other customers turn to look at her.
One of them brought her phone out of her bag and showed her pictures she took of Fernando with a woman and a child in a restaurant.
Silvia looked at the picture in shock. It was that woman that looked like Ana with a child. She was not able to see the child’s face but that child was sitting close to Fernando and the way he looked at her was with so much affection.
Silvia clenched the phone tightly in her hand. She did not want to believe what this might mean. Is that woman really Ana and had lied about it? No no no, that’s not possible she killed Ana six years ago!!!
