Chapter 81 An Order
She did not know how long they stayed that way until she pulled away from the hug.
Fernando looked at her face. All the time he was looking for her and even went to different hospitals, it was Emiliano blocking his search for her.
That time he had confronted Emiliano, he had lied. Turns out he knew but did not tell him Ana was alive even when he begged him to let him know of her whereabouts when he found her.
“I want you to tell me everything that happened 6 years ago and do not leave a detail“ Fernando said.
“There is nothing to say to you Fernando. My relationship with you ended a long time ago even before the incident. I only acted as your fake wife for three months and a few weeks. Of what importance am I to you, that you should care about me?”
“You are important to me Ana, you are and whatever we shared in the past was important to me, so do not say that. I want you to tell me everything so I can help you find who had hurt your family and killed your dad”
Ana laughed and shaked her head “I do not want your help so leave me alone. I will find out who did it myself so do not interfere. Please leave, I will overlook the fact that you came here even when you were restricted but I will not overlook your actions again” Ana said seriously.
He was still the fiancee of the woman she suspected had killed her father and tried to kill her and yet he expects her to involve him in finding out who did it?”
Fernando clenched his fist. He did not like this.
She had lied to him but yet she was saying this to him?
Fernando looked her straight in the eye again. “Is there something else you are keeping away from me Ana?” He asked.
Ana’s heart beats fast “What do you mean?”
“Is there something I’m supposed to know and you are not telling me? Tell me now”
Ana’s face turned pale. After finding out that she is Ana, he will easily suspect that Thea might be his child because she looks like him. She was afraid to tell him because it’s risky but she can’t hide it anymore. The reason she was able to keep it away from him was because she could easily lie that she was not the Ana he knew but now she can’t lie about Thea not being his child.
Ana swallowed.
The look on her face had made Fernando feel that what he was thinking might be the truth. It can’t just be a coincidence that her child looks like him. He remembered when they were intimate and that can be enough to produce a child. But he wants to hear it from her, he wants her to tell him herself that her child was his.
“Tell me Ana, tell me what you are keeping away from me. Tell me if what I’m thinking is true, please” he pleaded.
Ana tears fell, she nodded “Yes it’s true, what you are thinking is true. I got pregnant 6 years ago and had told your mother about it before she died but I begged her not to tell you. I had kept it hidden” Ana said and the look she saw on his face was that of pain.
Fernando clenched his fist tight; he had felt it and the resemblance too was noticeable. He had also felt thrown to that child. So it turns out that child is his?
“Thea is my child?” He asked to be sure.
Ana nodded
“How could you Ana, how could you!! How could you keep my child away from me!! How could you prevent me from knowing my child!! You even had the guts to place a restriction preventing me from getting close to her?? You are so heartless and I could strangle you right now?” he said with so much pain and anger.
Ana shifted away “I’m sorry I had kept her away from you and did not tell you about my pregnancy. But then I could not tell you. I kept it to myself because I felt so ashamed and scared”
“Ashamed of what!!”
“You had another woman in your life and I was the second woman. Silvia is your fiancee and was in a coma, I was met to only represent her as your fake wife and we ended up being intimate which was something that was not supposed to happen. But it happened and I got pregnant out of wedlock, I felt ashamed of being the second woman, I did not want to be the reason your relationship ended, or break another woman’s heart which is why I kept it hidden”
Fernando punched his hand on the wall in anger realizing it was part of his fault. Of course she would not want to tell him but when she came back why did she not tell him?
“Fine, but why did you not tell me about her when you returned and why did you continue lying?”
“Because she is still your fiancee and the person who tried to kill me wanted to do so because of my pregnancy, they did not want the child to exist. You were a suspect and your fiancee was a suspect. I did not know who might have done it, that is part of the reason I faked my death and when I returned I had also hidden my real identity. The real reason I came back is to find out who was behind it” Ana told him the truth and what he decided to do with it was none of her concern.
Fernando was stunned and shocked to hear what she said. So she sees him as her enemy too?
“You said you only told my mother and I'm sure she took it to her grave without telling anyone. And if she wanted to tell someone Silvia would have been the last person”
Ana laughed inwardly, of course he will support his fiancee but she knows Silvia was the real person just that she needed evidence.
“I had to be careful since I did not know who my enemy was. Now you know the reason for my actions so far. Do you still want to strangle me?” Ana asked sarcastically.
Fernando after hearing all she said felt less angry “I'm still angry with you and I want to see my daughter immediately" he said like it was an order.
