Chapter 18 Bruised
Paula bowed her head and left.
Ana was stunned, she could not understand what that meant. She had also noticed that other maids and even guards were kind to her. She thought they would dislike her for coming to replace their madam they have known for a long time but that isn’t the case.
Now she really wants to know more about the personality of Silvia. What kind of person was she?
They had eaten a lot during lunch, so Ana skipped dinner and slept early. She was so exhausted from the shopping that she was yet to put away all she bought. She had bought about 8 luggages to place them all inside because she will be taking almost everything to her parents house.
She had spent so much that she ended up feeling so guilty. She spent 2 million today.
I’m so greedy” she said to herself and sighed, but her love for fashion could not help matters. She kept on shopping and shopping, everything she needs and her family will need. She also went to buy household stuff.
Fernando will skin her alive by the time he returns.
At exactly 9pm when she was sleeping she felt someone walk into the room and turned on the light.
“Get up” His voice rang in her ears.
Ana opened her eyes and saw Fernando looking at her angrily.
She sat up on the bed and stared at him too “Your back”
Fernando sat close to her on the bed and gave her a deadly glare.
Ana wanted to shift away but he grabbed hold of her hand tight.
Ana winced “it hurts, stop” she tried to free herself but couldn’t.
“Why are you so stupid?” he said angrily.
I’m sorry if I shopped so much, I can return the things if you are not happy about it. So let me go, you are hurting” Ana pleaded.
You think I called you stupid because you spent 2 million. No, I called you stupid because you had allowed yourself to engage in an argument with someone in public!! He clenched her fist tighter, hurting her more.
Ana screamed in pain “stop!!”
“You know you are representing my fiancee, you are not supposed to be seen having an argument with someone in public while people are videoing. Couldn’t you have walked away? Why so dumb?” Fernando's eyes turned red in anger.
Tears fell from her eyes, at this point she could not breath and felt like passing out. He was just holding her hand but the way he held it felt like all her blood was draining out.
“The only good thing you did was not allow her to slap you. If she had slept with you then I would have made you regret it” he raised his hand and touched her cheeks which made her flinch.
“If you had allowed yourself to be bruised, I would have made you regret it. This face and body of yours is representing Silvia. What do you think would have happened if the video got online and I had not intervened?”
“Let it not happen again, and I do not want your face or body to be bruised. Have I made myself clear?”
Ana glared at him with her eyes wet in tears.
Fernando stared at her for a while before letting her go and walking out.
Ana looked at her hand, the part he held was so bruised. Tears rolled down her eyes. She had forgotten he had people watching her every move.
Ana no longer felt bad for spending so much “If I had known I would have spent more”
She murmured.
“Oh my god what happened to your hand” Paula said in worry when she saw her bruised hand.
“It’s hot water, I had mistakenly turned the heater very high” She said and looked at Fernando who stared at her after she lied.
“Oh my dear, you should have come to me so I will put ice. Hold on I will get ice”
“Thank you Paula” Ana smiled at Paula and started eating the breakfast she was served.
“We will be moving to my family house tomorrow, so get your things ready,” Fernando said.
“Okay, but can I go see my family today? There are a lot of things I need to drop with them”
Fernando wanted to refuse but he remembered that she might not be able to see her parents that much after they live in his family house.
He stood up and picked up his suit. He took steps closer to her and stared at her bruised hand. “Fine, but make sure to return today and return before 9pm” he said like it was a warning before walking out.
Ana exhaled, she did not know she had been holding her breath this long.
When she was done with breakfast, Paula and some of the maids helped her pack all she bought in the 8 luggage and helped her place it in the van.
She thanked Paula and the others for assisting her before getting into the van and the chauffeur took her to her parents house.
She had made sure to bandage her wrist and wore a long sleeve shirt to cover it so her parents won’t see it.
Nala and her parents were watching a tv show when they heard the door bell ring.
“It must be Ana, she said she will visit soon” Nala said.
Griselda stood up to go check, excited that it will be her daughter.
She opened the door and her smile widened when she saw it was Ana.
“Ana” she hugged her daughter.
“Come inside, why are you outside?”
“There are things I brought” Ana moved away to reveal the bags behind her.
“What’s all this, why do you have so much luggage, what’s inside?”
Jose came to the door when he heard what his wife said.
Ana?
“Papa” Ana hugged her father
“What’s going on?” He asked.
My boss gave me a bonus and with my money as well. I decided to buy stuff for you guys including stuff you will need around the house.
“This is too much,” Jose said.
“The chauffeur is bringing the remaining bags”
“There is more?” Griselda was surprised.
“Yes”
Her parents helped in bringing the things in. And by the time they were done bringing all the bags in they were so exhausted.
Nala was also surprised to see the things. If not that she was still recovering, she would have helped out.
“Thanks for assisting our daughter” Jose said to the chauffeur who bowed.
“Come on in, I made some delicious food” Griselda said to the chauffeur who wanted to refuse. But they pleaded for him not to refuse.
Philip, who is in his middle age, nodded and came in.
Griselda had offered him food and drink so he would feel at home.
Ana showed her parents and her sister all she got for them. They were happy and felt so overwhelmed too.
Jose was happy with all his daughter brought, but he felt uneasy. All this was too much.
He took Ana aside to speak to her
