Chapter 139
A shadow fell across them as they walked away and a woman stopped in their tracks. Her eyes narrowed at Tasha. "Look who we have here," she drawled, her voice dripping with a honeyed venom. "The professor herself."
Tasha couldn't believe another woman had attacked her verbally again. A chill ran down her spine as she looked from the woman's face to that of Blake. Who was surprised as well.
"Ava," Blake called out in a cautioning manner.
Ava Kincaid, one of the richest heiresses in the United States of America, had desperately wanted to marry Blake right after Stacy's drama. But he resisted it, knowing their marriage would be another marriage of convenience, just like what he had with Stacy.
She shouted back at Blake. She gave Tasha a look from head to toe. "What? Why do you want to stop me from saying hello to our new friend?" The woman's gaze, a mixture of envy and disdain, lingered on Tasha, making her skin crawl. "She's beautiful though, she's worth it…." She snickered and strutted away.
"Not again!" She looked up into his eyes. "Please take me away from here."
"Blake, let's go," she said, her voice firm, her eyes meeting his. He looked at her, surprised, then understanding dawned in his eyes. He nodded, his hand finding hers, his touch a silent promise of support.
As they walked away, the woman's laughter echoed behind them, a mocking sound that seemed to follow them out into the night.
"Tasha, please," he pleaded, seeing how hurt she was and wanted to take her hand. But she recoiled.
"Don't touch me, just take me out of this place, please."
Though her words were said only to his ears, they were firm with anger. In as much as Tasha knew Blake loved her dearly and she trusted him. She couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness and insecurity. Two ladies in just one night.
"Tasha, plea-,"
"Can we go, please? I need to get away from here." Tasha said more forcefully.
Blake, sensing Tasha's distress, agreed immediately and whispered back, "Of course, my love. Let's go." As expected, the drive back home was a silent one. Tasha refused to talk to Blake throughout the forty-minute drive. She didn't even wait for Blake to open the door for her when they got home. Tasha opened the car door the moment Jeff stopped the car in front of the mansion.
"Tasha…Candy," Blake called out helplessly. "Please wait," he ran after her.
She didn't stop. She walked in long, hurried strides inside and straight upstairs to the bedroom.
"Okay, I'm sorry for all that happened." Blake stood in front of her, looking as sad as she was looking, too.
"Listen," she pulled off her shoes. "I know you love me, but it still hurts…" she shrugged, "two ladies attacking me like that in one night. It's more than I can take, it's too much, Blake." She whispered, her voice full of sadness.
Tasha couldn't hold back her emotions any longer. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she walked to the window looking out into the dark night, her heart aching. She feared more incidents like that may still surface again.
Blake turned her around to face him, and pulled her into his arms, holding her close as he whispered words of comfort and love into her ear.
"How many more women are still going to attack me, Blake?" She asked in an emotionally laden voice. "I hope I am just safe here with you."
"You are safe." He cupped her face in his hands. "Look at me, I promise, no other woman is going to do that to you again. You are very safe." "Blake," she swallowed hard. "I hope so," she said.
"Candy," he stroked her lower lip with his thumb. "You need to understand that their actions have nothing to do with you. Candy, you are my world, and I will always stand up for you. You have nothing to be afraid of."
He looked deeply into her eyes, and his love for her gushed over and over in his heart. He loved her more than life itself, and he would do anything not to lose her again.
She smiled a little and nodded, believing every word he said. Blake's face lightened up with a sly grin. "Remember, you promised we are going to get naughty when we return."
"You still remember that?" She made a face at him. "You are such a bad daddy. I'm not in the mood for that anymore."
"Of course I still remember." He growled and cupped her face. Tilting her head back, he pressed his mouth to hers. "I can never forget that candy, my naughty, naughty girl. And don't worry, daddy will put you right into the mood."
They both burst into laughter. His hands moved to her waist. "Tasha I love you so much," he said. His breath was hot on her face.
He undressed her completely, picked her up, and set her on the bed. He then undressed too. His cock was iron hard, sticking out in front of him. Blake climbed up onto the bed. His gray eyes looked into her deep blue ones, and their gaze locked for a long moment as he crawled over her body. They smiled languidly into each other's eyes, enjoying the feelings of excitement that washed over their bodies.
"I love you so much, baby," his voice, thick with lust, rumbled. "Only you, my candy."
His mouth closed down on hers. He kissed her long and hard with the hunger of his need until they were both panting desperately for air. He smiled into her eyes when they broke off the kiss, and said, "I want you so much, Tasha. I'm going to be so naughty tonight." His hot breath fanned her face as he spoke.
"I want to be naughty too," she swallowed hard, cupped his face and pulled his mouth to hers for another kiss. The kiss this time was slow and tender. Tasha moaned into his mouth. Their naked bodies pressing against each other igniting more desires in them.
