Octavius had sent his mother’s and father’s sizes and with the help of Bancy, Rhiannon had successfully finished making the outfits.
Currently, she was standing in front of them looking at them wondering whether there was something that needed to be added or corrected.
“Young miss, everything is fine. I don’t understand why you are worrying too much,” Bancy said as she looked at Rhiannon.
“You don’t understand it. It's like I am giving my mother-in-law this dress as a birthday gift and at the same time our first meeting gift. Also, don’t forget that she is an Anderson and the Andersons are well-known as the perfect designers. Whether all our companies get a chance to compete with the Andersons depends on this dress and suit over here,” Rhiannon said who still felt that that wasn’t enough reason for the latter to feel so pressured.
“I am sure that she would love anything that you made for her. There is no need for you to complicate everything,” she said causing Rhiannon to shake her head.
“I am married to Octavius who was the best bachelor and a lot of people wanted to get married to him. Of course, once they find out that he is already married, they will look up to see who the wife is. If I don’t have anything to prove to myself that I am worthy of him then my days in the capital would be tiresome as those women will always get in my way and I can’t have that as I have a lot of things to do at the capital after the party is over,” Rhiannon said and Bancy felt sorry for her.
The two had gotten close during the week they had been working together.
Since the latter took over the company and with the designs Rhiannon had given her, the company had risen rapidly and it was almost catching up with the Ruvens even if they were from different industries.
The only difference was that the Ruvens were internationally known while this one was domestically known but they were preparing themselves to enter the international market as they had already gotten some fans from there requesting them to sell their products there.
“I will be leaving for the capital tomorrow. Nanny will be coming with me and it might take a few weeks or even months before I come back here. If you need anything or ask something, don’t hesitate to call me," Rhiannon said as she knew that once she and Octavius went back there, they couldn't come back.
Furthermore, most of her mother’s companies were in the capital and she needed to find time to visit each one of them and work with them since they had a common goal.
“Okay, young miss. You take care of yourself there as I am sure that you will meet the Sanders at that party and might recognize you as you just look like the master. If that happens, the enemies might start coming for you. If only you didn’t have to attend the party,” Bancy said worriedly but Rhiannon understood.
She was also worried and so were her mother’s other apprentices as they knew that the time to protect their young miss had already arrived.
Although it might feel like it would take a while for those people to know about her, they would find out immediately when Rhiannon walked into that room as some of the wealthy families were working for them.
That was the reason why Rhiannon decided to hold the party in her hotel and not in any of the Andersons or Rodrigues’ hotel as she felt safe in her own place. She also felt that since it was in their hotel, they would be able to monitor who comes and goes and who is the friend or the foe.
What they didn’t know was that Octavius and his father were well aware that the party might turn another way and they had hired a lot of trained men to be situated around the hotel during that time. Antonio had decided to help Rhiannon as she was already their daughter-in-law and their family and also because of the friendship his wife had with Celestine.
Anabelle on the other hand was seated at her parents home waiting for Rhiannon to arrive as she wanted to see the outfit Rhiannon had made to see whether the latter knew other skills apart from making perfumes. Also, she felt that they needed to share some insights and help each other. To her, it was like she had won the lottery by having such a sister-in-law.
Amanda looked at her daughter and couldn’t understand why she was so happy to meet her brother’s wife. If only she knew that Rhiannon was Celestine's daughter, she would have also been sitting while looking at the door.
“Dad, when is Octavius coming back?” Anabelle asked after waiting for three hours but didn’t see her twin.
Antonio looked at her daughter and felt pity for her and at the same time got angry at Octavius for making his precious daughter wait for him.
“Well, they will be here tomorrow morning,” he responded making Anabelle pout feeling wrong and wanting to cry.
Amanda and Antonio started panicking as even if Anabelle was already a grown-up, they still pampered her endlessly.
“Does that mean that I will have to wait for another day for them? That’s not fair! I am sure that Octavius is doing that on purpose. He also doesn’t want me to steal his wife from him,” she said angrily making her parents confused.
“Anna dear, why do you need to steal your brother’s wife? You two haven’t even met but you are already planning on this,” Amanda said in a low yet reprimanding tone.
“Mom, you don’t know but those perfumes that shook the world were made by his wife,” Anabelle said shocking them.
“What? How is that possible? They were made from different companies,” Amanda said as she refused to believe what her daughter was saying.
“I know but Octavius was the one who told me to study the perfumes and see the similarities and I did. Also, didn’t you notice at that time, that those companies were launching the perfumes with a week interval? Apart from the last one which launched on the same day we and his wife got so mad at him that he even refused to stay with him in the same house. She went back after a week,” Anabelle said ass he had someone watch her brother and his wife.
Amanda and Antonio were shocked. For Amanda, she didn’t think that her daughter-in-law was successful or rich but she still approved of her as she was the one her son had chosen. As for Antonio, he was surprised and understood that the various companies had to be Celestine's doings before she died as she wanted to leave her daughter something.
He didn’t need to understand what Rhiannon was up to but he didn’t mind her companies surpassing theirs as they were one big family since she had already married into the family. So even if her companies topped, it was still like the Rodirgues topping.
