Chapter 243: Scared of Annabelle

Chapter 243: Scared of Annabelle

Madison carefully lifted her hand to pick up the phone that was ringing. When she looked at the caller, it just confirmed her premonition even more. She knew she was in for an earful. Who else could make her nervous if not her best friend Annabelle? Ever since she became pregnant, her temper had also changed. She was extremely sensitive, too.
Wesley looked at Madison's tense face and chuckled. At least this time, the person her sister was dealing with was Madison, her best friend and not him. Wesley was always scared of talking to Annabelle for the fear of making her cry. He didn't know how to coax other people. The only person he knew how to handle was Madison, and it had taken him a year before he fully became accustomed to doing that.
"Hello, Annabelle. " Madison said with a guilty conscience. Of course, she was the one in the wrong. How dare she come back to the country and not tell her best friend anything? Even if she wasn't concerned about her, wasn't she in the least bit concerned about her baby ?

"Oh, you have the guts to pick up the call, huh? " Annabelle commented sarcastically as soon as Madison spoke. She couldn't wait to bash her.
"I'm sorry. I was planning to give you a surprise."Madison said truthfully. Of course, that was her initial plan. But somehow, things ended up happening, and she couldn't hide the fact that she was already back to the country from her.
"Yeah, you sure gave me a surprise."Annabelle emphasized on surprise. Her man was best friends with her brother, so if something happened on her brother's side, she would always be notified. She was shocked and scared to know that Madison had been kidnapped just a few hours after she returned to the country. Annabelle knew that Madison staying by her brother's side would always bring her danger, but she couldn't bear to let such an amazing friend and sister-in-law out of her sight. How could she let another man have her? Only Wesley was worthy of her.
Madison's lips twitched. She understood what Madison was talking about.
"I'll pay you a visit tomorrow, okay?" Madison coaxed her.
"You'd better. " Annabelle snorted and said. The two talked for a while more before hanging up.

"Phew!" As Madison said this, she patted her chest in relief. She thought she wouldn't be able to handle Annabelle. Fortunately, she did. Annabelle's temper was always on another level, and soothing her always proved hard.
When Wesley saw Madison's actions, he couldn't help but chuckle. It seemed like his sister also managed to scare Madison in the period when she was pregnant.
Wesley pulled her into his arms. He just wanted her to rest.
"Oh right, tomorrow I have to go buy some baby stuff for Annabelle's soon." Madison said.
"I'll go with you." Wesley didn't hesitate to say this.
"No way, you're busy." Madison didn't want to make him skip work.
"I'll go to the company after I accompany you to shop." Wesley said. He was still scared of what had happened that day.
When Madison saw the concern on his face, she relented.
"Okay."
"Maddy?" Wesley suddenly called out.
"Hmm?"
"When do you plan to give me a baby?" Wesley asked. He could already envision a young girl, who looked exactly like Madison running around their mansion. This made him look forward to having a baby with her. But, when would she give in?
