Chapter 317 Destroy the Laboratory
Chapter 317 Destroy the Laboratory
Jake rushed over and kicked Felix hard.
"Damn it, can you do anything right? They're locked inside!"
"How was I supposed to know the power would go out? Hold on, I'll unlock it!"
Then a roar echoed through the room, shaking everyone to the ground.
"Felix, if Allison dies in there, we're both dead meat. Get that door open now!"
Panic spread across the entire floor. It wasn't just here; other labs were also in chaos. With the doors locked, who knows what kind of experiments had escaped their cages? Researchers were being attacked by their own creations, and the transparent glass walls were smeared with blood.
The lab staff were terrified and ran for their lives. Amidst the chaos, Landon finally arrived with his team.
"Jake, where are the boss and Ms. Bennett?"
Jake pointed to the lab where the roars were coming from.
"They're trapped in there with a beast. We're trying to get the door open!"
Another loud crash and a man's scream followed, and Jake was on the verge of losing it.
"Figure it out! I don't care how. Just get that door open!"
Felix was already on it, connecting his laptop to the door's security system. Ironically, he had designed the system himself, and now he couldn't get in. Felix was about to lose his mind.
Inside the lab, Byron was hit by flying debris, his back bleeding profusely. Allison dropped her phone and dragged Byron to a corner.
"You're useless. Give me the gun and stay put!"
Allison aimed the electromagnetic gun at the creature's eyes and then rolled over to Alexander.
"Shoot its eyes! That's its only weak spot!"
Alexander nodded, and the two of them fired at the creature's eyes from either side, finally throwing it off balance. Its massive tail nearly hit Allison several times.
Allison was furious and finally snapped.
"Are you all useless? Didn't you already take over the chip? Why can't you calm it down?"
The team on the other end of the biolocator was in disarray. They couldn't crack one of the programs, so Allison told them to get Sabrina.
With Sabrina's help, they finally took control of the beast. Seeing it on the computer screen, Sabrina was stunned.
"Oh my God, Allison, what is that thing?"
Allison smirked. "A toy for you. Let me show you how to play with it!"
Sabrina's innocent laughter made everyone in the control room fall silent. It was as if they had done something, yet nothing at all. Carl, however, smiled. This was the Allison he knew.
"Allison, just tell me where to shoot!"
Allison stood up, dusting herself off. She was a mess from dealing with the beast.
"Are you hurt?"
Allison shook her head, but Alexander had a deep claw mark on his back, bleeding heavily.
Allison found a first aid kit in a medical cabinet and bandaged Alexander, then stopped Byron's bleeding.
"You have multiple fractures. You need to get to a hospital immediately. Your legs are fine, so when the door opens, run for it. If you want to live, get to a hospital!"
Byron was sweating from the pain, but that wasn't the worst of it. He looked towards the door and saw the beast tearing it open, ripping down an entire wall.
"Ms. Bennett, you..."
"What? Isn't this what you wanted? The easiest way to take down these labs is with brute force!"
Byron frowned, clearly not agreeing with her methods, but it was too late to argue.
Landon and his team burst in, and Alexander started barking orders.
"Find everyone and get them out of here!"
Allison frowned. "Who are you looking for?"
She had thought Alexander was there to rescue her. Why was he on a side mission?
"Earlier, several researchers and professors from the Carter Group were kidnapped. We had no idea where they were taken until we found a trace of one of them here in Eldoria. We suspect they're all here."
"Couldn't it be some illegal organization or gang?"
Alexander shook his head. "In Eldoria, the biggest gang is the Faith family."
Allison had to admit he had a point. She instructed Sabrina to dismantle the nearby labs. It was like opening Pandora's box, revealing all sorts of bizarre experiments.
"Oh my God, Allison, come look at this! What is all this?"
Allison glanced over and nearly vomited. The specimens were hybrids of various animals, a grotesque sight.
"Don't bother looking. Get the people out and destroy the labs!"
With Allison's orders, Sabrina was thrilled. Her nimble fingers danced over the keyboard, and she let out a joyful shout.
"Come on, baby, let's go wild!"
The beast, guided by its master, roared again. Allison's head was pounding from the noise, and she cursed with a laugh.
"Sabrina, get serious!"
Sabrina laughed heartily. Landon was busy finding people, and Jake was dismantling the black box in the control room, which contained all the experimental data—the most crucial information.
Felix monitored the entire building. The security personnel had fled in terror from the beast, but now they were regrouping downstairs, ready to come up.
"Boss, we need to evacuate!"
Carl, watching from the control room, saw everything clearly. "Have Sabrina break the windows on the back street. The helicopters are on their way!"
Sabrina received the order and had the beast smash the windows. Glass shards rained down, stopping the security personnel in their tracks.
"Don't go up there! The beast is going crazy! Call in the military!"
Bernard, who hadn't left immediately, was scared off by the second wave of destruction.
"Prime Minister, we haven't retrieved the black box yet. All the data is in there!"
"No rush. The control room has the best security system. Even a missile couldn't break in after the power outage. No one can take it."
One of Bernard's men asked, "What about Byron? Should we rescue him?"
"Rescue? Rescue my enemy? Do you think I don't know why he infiltrated the presidential palace? If he dies, all the better. Otherwise, I'd have to kill him myself!"
With that, Bernard boarded a helicopter and quickly left, not caring about the people in the lab.
Carl's helicopters arrived. Allison grabbed Alexander and ran.
"There are three helicopters. We'll split up!"
Landon and his team boarded one helicopter. Seeing the spacious interior, Landon was shocked. He had thought it was a small stealth aircraft, but it turned out the tail was cloaked.
