Chapter 61
“Now I’m not lonely anymore!” Emily threw her hands up in the air in joy.
“Damien brought home many twins!” The girl kissed Damien’s cheek again and smiled at him with teary eyes.
“Emily,”
“But the twins must be unpleasant too.” Damien sighed heavily at the sight of Emily pursing her lips. The girl looked cute, but it would be better if she was in bed getting rid of her hangover.
“The way she dresses is the same, so it must be the same disposition. Angry man.” Damien’s temples throbbed from being called angry man by Emily.
“Come on, you should go to bed.”
“I want Samuel!” Damien’s eyes rounded at the sound of Emily calling Samuel’s name.
“I’m lonely. Samuel is great to talk to,” the girl wailed. Damien’s heart sank at Emily’s words. So she enjoyed her time with Samuel when he came over.
“Why did you fire him?” Damien sighed. How much did this girl drink to make her words sound incoherent? They hadn’t moved since earlier as Emily continued to babble.
“What did Samuel do wrong? His cooking is good. Why did you fire him? You’re cruel!”
“Will you shut up?” Damien’s voice was low. He didn’t want to answer Emily, but he couldn’t stand it anymore because she kept mentioning Samuel’s name. Emily’s lips quivered at such a response from Damien.
“He’s definitely going to scold me,” Damien sighed heavily as he shook his head. He wouldn’t stand for Emily talking about Samuel again. So he lifted Emily’s body and put her on his shoulder like a person carrying a potato shed.
“Put me down!” Emily slapped Damien’s back. But he didn’t feel a thing.
“I don’t want to go home. I want to stay here. Anna, let’s have another drink!” Damien patiently led Emily up the stairs. The girl couldn’t drink anymore. It would be a disaster if other people saw Emily drunk. Damien was not willing. But Austin had seen Emily drunk before. All because Emily’s manager had asked her to drink. He wouldn’t spare the woman.
“Let’s drink!” Emily hummed incoherently.
“We want more beer! It’s my treat today, Anna. It’s okay, feel free. I have lots of savings.” They reached Emily’s room. Damien dropped her body onto the bed.
“I’m going to be a rich man when my contract with Damien is over,” Emily said, smiling with her eyes closed.
“You’re really celebrating the one-month contract with me, it turns out,” Damien said quietly, as he adjusted Emily’s position on the bed.
“When is this contract over?” The man sat on the edge of the bed as he finished removing Emily’s shoes.
“I want to act again,” Emily muttered.
“You want to be free of me so badly,” Damien said. He looked at Emily, who had shifted her sleeping position to the side.
“Shooting.” That was Emily’s last word before she really went to dreamland. Damien looked at Emily’s sleeping face. He reached out to smooth her mane of hair. Damien gently stroked Emily’s hair. Since when had this girl attracted his attention?
“Emily,” Damien’s hand moved to caress her cheek. The girl smiled as if answering Damien’s call.
“Don’t get drunk again. You can only get drunk with me.” Only this time Damien could speak freely.
“This time I forgive you because you’re so happy with one month less than your contract.” However, what Damien felt right now was the opposite of what Emily felt. He was not happy that their contract time had been shortened. When would Emily make a mistake? One mistake from Emily and her contract time would increase.
“You have no idea how hard it is for me to be away from you,” Damien said quietly. It was also good that Emily didn’t notice. She was free to express her feelings.
“But here you are, getting drunk because you’re happy to have less contract time and sad that I fired Samuel.” Damien chuckled quietly. He looked pathetic because of this girl. It seemed that Damien could keep his feelings to himself when Emily was normal to him. The man sighed.
“Good night, Emily.” Damien leaned down to kiss the girl on the forehead. Maybe it would be the first and last time he could do that.

Emily’s hand touched her forehead as soon as she woke up. Groaning, she rubbed her forehead, remembering last night’s dream. There was a man kissing her forehead, but Emily couldn’t see his face. She couldn’t remember.
Emily sat up. She needed to get the last of the alcohol out of her system. The girl went to the bathroom. Drinking alcohol was relaxing, but the after effects of being drunk were not pleasant at all. Her stomach felt like it was spinning.
Emily brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth with mouthwash to remove the smell of alcohol from her mouth, then took a shower. The girl left the room after getting ready for school.
“Good,” Emily’s speech stopped after she saw who was sitting in the dining room. Damien sat down as he checked his phone.
“Morning,” Emily continued. She was surprised to see him there. When did he get home? Why hadn’t Austin told her about his return? Emily quietly pulled out the dining chair.
“Prepare this drunk’s breakfast.” Damien ordered the waiter to take his eyes off the phone. He knows I’m drunk. Emily thought. The girl felt uncomfortable in her chair. Should she just go to work now? It didn’t matter that she was drunk, but Emily sensed a tense atmosphere from Damien. She was sure that her morning would not end well.
“Here you go, madam.” The man only looked at Emily as the waiter placed the omelet in front of her.
“When did you get back?” Emily made small talk. Hopefully not at night when she was drunk. Why else would Anna drive her back to Damien’s penthouse instead of letting her stay at her apartment? Anna had really put her in a bad position. Emily silently cursed her manager.
“You’re happy in my absence.” If it had been anyone else, Emily would have heard the question mark in his words, but Damien sounded flat.
“Remember what happened last night?”
