Chapter 184 HAVE YOU EVER TRIED THIS ONE?
SHAWN'S POV

Billionaire Noah West swallowed every drop of me and is humming softly like he’s enjoying every bit of it like this is exactly what he wanted.

I cannot make news like this up.

When it’s all over, I’m shaking and I feel like a boneless chicken who just had all its nutrients sucked out of it.

Damn.
He's good. Maybe too good in fact.

Noah pulls off slowly with an audible pop that makes me gasp slightly from it all.

He knows this since he's smiling and licking his lips like he’s savoring the taste of it all.

He crawls up my body, slowly pressing soft kisses along my stomach to my chest, my collarbone until he’s hovering right over me with his strong forearms braced on either side of my head.

His eyes are dark with emotion and his face looks like something that came right out of a fashion magazine.

He leans down and kisses me deeply and slowly, letting me taste myself on his tongue.

When he pulls back again, he rests his forehead against mine with a mischievous smile

“Hi,” he whispers.

I laugh at the irony of it all sounding weak, and breathless.
Isn't it a little too late to be greeting me now?
“Well hello to you too,” I managed.

He smiles an innocent and soft smile like he wasn't just pushing me deep in his throat minutes earlier.

“You okay?” he asks.

I nod, then shake my head but remember what happened and then nod again.

“I don’t know,” I admit. “That was… kind of unexpected.”

“A good unexpected?”

“A very good unexpected, compliments to the chef.”

He chuckles with a smile as the sound goes down to my nether regions.
Down boy!

“I’ve been thinking about doing that for weeks you know,” he confesses.

“Every time you woke up from a nightmare and looked like you needed something to hold on to so I wanted to give you something to feel good and let you be in control.”

I swallow hard.

“It did,” I whisper. “It felt… good and safe.”

His smile softens even more.
“Good.”

He shifts and rolls us over so I’m lying half on top of him with my head on his chest as his fingers move gently through my hair.

We lie like that for a long time with our breaths syncing as the sun slowly starts to rise from the horizon.
I trace lazy circles on his chest with one finger.

“Noah?”

“Hm?”

“What are we doing?” I ask quietly. “Really?”

He’s silent for a moment before he presses a kiss to the top of my head.

“We’re figuring it all out,” he says. “No contracts or pretending, just us together. Married too and I’m not letting you go. Not ever.”

My heart does something complicated in my chest so I close my eyes instead.

“Okay,” I whisper.

For the first time in weeks, the nightmares feel a little farther away so I snuggle even deeper with Noah.

Four months later, stepping back into my old bakery feels like walking into a dream I’ve forgotten all about.

The little bell above the door still jingles the exact same way that sounds creaky because of a freak accident involving hot exploding eggs.

The scent of yeast and sugar and vanilla still lingers in the air with a sweet smell even though the ovens have been cold for months.

There is dust everywhere and it all looks a bit melancholic with specks of sunset shining on all of it.

The wooden counters are exactly where I left them with the display cases empty and waiting for pastries that never came.

I look up to see the chalkboard menu still hanging crooked on the wall with my terrible handwriting faded but a bit readable if you used glasses.
Magnifying glasses.

It’s all so surreal.

I stand in the middle of the shop with my hands in my pockets, turning slowly as I take it all in.
Everything is the same, yet nothing about it is as it all looks different from before.

The last time I was here, I was still running from ghosts and pretending everything would be okay even when the Moreau Family was looming over me.

Now I'm back and dating, well technically married to a billionaire and I'm carrying even more scars than before and somehow… I feel safe.

Mostly safe I guess but Noah made sure of it.
One of his concessions for me to come back to this area was that he bought the building and paid off of every debt I had.

I'm a millionaire now and I shouldn't have debt, is what he said.

He also hired a security team that watched this block and followed me 24/7, no exceptions.

He didn't even ask me but he just did it and after the couple of months I've had, I don't mind it.
Hell I crave the internal security I feel at knowing that Noah has it all covered.

Also his quiet and decisive manner I used to hate and take for granted now somehow makes me feel… hot.

But I'm not telling Noah that, let him figure it out by himself.

Part of me wants to open this bakery and pretend life's still the same.

I run my fingers along the counter, tracing the familiar grooves and patterns as I imagine one of my customers as a pissed off Matteo with a gun to my head and I discard the thought.

I'm fine like this at least.

I’m still lost in thought when I hear it, a soft thud coming from the kitchen.

My heart jumps straight into my throat.
Again?

Good heavens, I'm tired of all the intruding in my life, could they just not give me a break.

It’s past 7pm and the shop has been closed down for months.
Noah told me he'll be late to his meetings so I'm not expecting him.

So who the hell is in my kitchen?

I move quietly with my heart hammering in my chest as I move silently and quietly towards the door.

I grab a heavy rolling pin with one hand as I creep towards the light switch when I hear another rustling in it.

I flip the light switch as light bursts everywhere in the cool kitchen and I freeze in shock.

Noah Gabriel West who's completely naked and tied up like a present is kneeling in the middle of my kitchen with his wrist bound behind his back.

I drop the rolling pin to the floor as it clatters loudly on the tile.
