Chapter 155 - Traumatized
(Freya's POV).
I was so surprised to see Devan in such a state. For the first time, I saw him looking lost and frustrated. It made me think of what Aiden had told me when Devan went crazy over losing me. Is this the same condition Devan felt back then?
My heart would be so sick and hurt if he was like this when I left him. He must be so scared every day and I can't imagine how devastated I would be when I see him like that every day.
I tried to calm him down, making sure he couldn't be sad anymore. He even cried out of fear. He truly loved me with his life and I felt so grateful.
"I love you too, Dev," I whispered. I kissed his lips for a long time and he kissed me back. I sat on his lap. Feeling so comfortable and calm.
"I was thinking of speeding up our honeymoon," he said, suddenly.
"But, I need a passport if we're going to honeymoon abroad. And I still have to take care of changing my identity."
"I'll tell my lawyer to get it done right away. One week. I'll have it done within a week," he emphasized.
"Dev, you don't have to do it in a hurry."
He shook his head. "I want to spend more time with you. You have no idea how much I miss you. All year I've been trying to find you and I finally found you again."
I looked at him, feeling both guilty and sad. I knew what it was like to miss the person we loved the most because I felt the same way about Devan.
"Alright, do whatever you want," I said. Pampering him was not wrong. So, I thought, I could grant all his requests while I still could.
"Have you thought about which country you want to go to?" he asked me.
"Iceland?"
Devan frowned. "Oh, alright. I'll take care of everything." He kissed my lips with a smile.
I nodded. "Then hurry up and shower and I'll go downstairs to prepare breakfast for us," I said as I gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

That afternoon, Aiden came home and Adam looked so happy to see his uncle. Aiden brought a lot of toys that he had bought. I protested because Adam already had a lot of toys, but Aiden said that it was something he always wanted when he had a nephew. And his wish list had come true.
"How are you doing with Devan? Everything good?" he asked as he sat beside me and let Aiden play by himself in the living room.
"Yes. We're fine. Why?" I asked in confusion.
He chuckled. "Nothing. I'm just asking, Fey. Why are you freaking out so much?"
I scowled in annoyance. "You're suddenly asking me strange questions. It's as if you're waiting for something bad to happen between us," I said. I was also scared because of Devan's behavior this morning. He had a nightmare and became so frightened.
Aiden laughed crisply. "I'm just happy that you guys are back together. By the way, Mom is going to organize a dinner together. More like a party," he informed me.
"A party?"
"To celebrate your return to our family. She will formally introduce you and Adam as daughter-in-law and grandson of the Harrisons. And mom told me to come here to inform you of this matter."
"Wh-what? But that's too much. And Devan hasn't said anything about this either," I said in a suppressed. Throwing a party for my return was a bit much. But I understand that they must be very happy to see their son back with me. And I am very grateful that they have been so kind to me.
"Mom hasn't told Devan either, so don't get mad at him. Mom said that you can invite anyone to the party."
I paused. I didn't have many friends and I also didn't know who to invite. All I knew was Tristan and his family, but would his family want to come to my party? Or do I just need to invite Tristan?
"Oh, alright. I'll think about it," I said to Aiden.
"Why? What? Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked in confusion.
I shook my head. "I'm just curious," I said.
"Curious about what?"
"You didn't come here because of Devan, did you?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" He gave me a confused, slightly panicked look.
"This morning Devan had a nightmare and he was crying because he thought I was leaving him again. Then suddenly you came to the house...."
"Oh, uh," Aiden muttered. He scratched his non-itchy neck and smiled awkwardly. "Well, yeah. Looks like I got caught, but..."
"Wh-what?! So it's true?" I yelled, cutting him off. I was so surprised because I just thought maybe Devan was scared and made sure I stayed here. But I didn't expect that Devan actually did it.
"W-wait. You shouldn't be angry, I mean... you shouldn't be angry. He didn't have any bad intentions. It's just... damn, how should I explain it? After all, Adam also wanted me to come here, so it's no big deal, right? And it just so happens that Mom also wanted me to tellー"
"Aiden, enough," I cut him off.
"Why? Are you angry?" he looked at me doubtfully. Looking a little scared if I was angry because of what Devan had done.
I shook my head. "I'm not angry. I'm just asking," I said, "I understand why he did it anyway. But he shouldn't have done it because I'll never go away from him again."
"Oh, I'll tell him again later. He seems to still be afraid of losing you. You know what trouble the two of you have been in," Aiden said. He also understood the situation.
"There is no need. Just leave it alone until he feels relieved. As time goes by, he'll know that I won't leave him again," I said to Aiden.
Aiden just nodded with a smile. Maybe if I were Devan, I would have done the same thing. I had left him twice and it left Devan traumatized. So, I thought about treating Devan better and making him realize that I would always be there for him.
