CHAPTER 88

NOAH'S POV

Jimmy called me to tell me that he had sent Matteo to the hospital for Anna's security purposes. Uncle Rafael called me in. his study after I got home.

“Noah, how was the conference today?” he asked me, looking at me.

“It was great, I heard a lot from them, but I lost my wrist watch from a thieving fan. it was expensive." I told my uncle with a pissed look.

“That's bad, I'm sorry about that. if it's important I can replace it, the watch.” he told me.

“No uncle, I'll do that myself.” I told him.

“Noah, I insist, okay, I'm not happy that happened to you.” uncle said to me.

“If you insist, I'll be in my room.” I said to him and left.

I washed and slept off, I didn't eat dinner, I. Just slept off because I was too tired to even do anything. The next morning Jimmy woke me up by calling me nonstop.

I looked at the screen and saw that it was Jimmy. I just sat up and swiped the green button.

“I'm beginning to think that I'm working for you, what's up?” I asked him in a raspy voice.

“Uhm, nice voice there, anyways you have a seminar this weekend you must attend it. it's over the weekend, coming back should be on Monday.” he said to me.

I ran my hand through my hair, “Do I have a choice? Just book a hotel close to the seminar venue, I need complete privacy and discretion." I told him.

“Okay, I'll do just that, a penthouse is preferably, am sure James will be coming too.” Jimmy said to me.

“Take care of everything Jimmy, I trust you.” I said and ended the call.

I was about to go to the gym house, when I saw Tyler talking on the phone with someone and it sounded serious. I went close to him and touched his shoulder.

“What the fuck is your problem? don't sneak up on me like that.” he said while turning to face me and he left with anger and rage evident in his eyes.

“That's so weird and strange.'' I went to the gym and started my workout routine.

I took off my clothes, and I was drying my sweat with a towel as I walked back to my bedroom, when I saw Miss Agnes in a mood.

“Hey Miss Agnes, what's up with your mood?” I asked her.

“I'm okay, just a little sad that's all.” She said not to meet my face, and her answer was invading what happened to her.

“Miss Agnes, don't lie to me, what happened to you?” I asked her again.

“Alright dear child, your brother was rude to me.” she said and told me everything that happened.

“What the fuck is his problem? Being rude to you, where the hell is he?” I asked her pissed at Tyler's behavior.

“Dear, that's enough and, I don't like you cussing me to stop that, I'm okay.” she said to me.

“No it's not.” I said and left her, looking for Tyler, and I saw him in his room.

“What the fuck is your problem? when did you become rude to Miss Agnes?" I asked him, visibly angry.

“Bro, I'm sorry, I was caught up with work. you know how it can be.” he says to me.

“That's not enough, to be fucking rude to her, fucking apologize to her.” I told him.

“Fine, I'll do just that.” he says and I left for my bedroom to start my day properly.

I got to the company, and Jimmy was already there. I sat down and I loosen my tie, I stood up, looked at the window, my phone pings and it's Tyler, apologizing for his attitude today. I looked at the message and I kept my phone as Jimmy entered my office.

“It's really hard, getting into your office, because of James.” he says to me.

I smile, “He's just doing his job, Jimmy.” I told him.

He read out my schedule for the day, and I hit right into it. I was far gone into my work for the day when my phone rang and it was Anna.

“Hello,” she said when I picked it up.

“Hey, How're you feeling, Anna?” I asked her.

“Noah, I'm getting better, you know it's a slow process.” she replied to me.

“And you'll get there soon, did you see the security detail, that I sent over.'' I assured her.

She inhaled and exhaled before answering me, “Yes now, that's why I called, I never expected such a large presence.” she said to me.

My voice softened, “I just want to make sure that you're okay. After everything that has happened, I can't take any chances, I want you to be safe all the time.”

“I understand Noah,” Anna replied, sighing a bit. “Thank you for being so thoughtful.”

“Of course Anna, I'll do anything for you. how's your recovery coming along? Are the doctors saying when you are gonna be discharged.”

Anna took a deep breath, “Actually, they say I should go home over the weekend. They want to make sure I'm stable and fit. if all goes well I'll be able to go home over the weekend.”

“That's good news,” I remembered my schedule. “But I won't be there, I'm going for a seminar over the weekend.”

“Don't worry I'll be fine, besides Matteo is here.” she says to me.

“Alright, I'll give you that. I'll be in touch and when I. get back we should go on a date, that's a promise I wanna keep Anna." I told her.

“I'd love that Noah.” she said shyly.

“We'll do that.” I told her.

The call ended, I finished my work and I went home. When Anna got discharged she told me as I was in my seat in my private jet.

I looked at Jimmy typing furiously on his laptop, finalizing the last detail of the presentation for the seminar we were attending. Across from Jimmy, was James, my security guard, sitting with watchful eyes, always alert despite the relatively calm environment.

“How's the presentation coming along, Jimmy?” I asked him, breaking the silence.

Jimmy looked up, “Almost done, just tying up loose ends, to make our presentation top notch, like the excellence we uphold in our company.” he replied to me.

I nodded at him, “Good. This seminar is a big deal. we need to make sure everything is perfect.”

Jimmy smiled at me, “I've got it covered, don't worry.”

James cleared his throat, “Mr Wilder, I've gone over the security detail at the seminar venue. I have a detailed layout of the building and have coordinated with the local security. your safety is my top priority.”

I gave him a small nod, “Thanks, James. I know you have my back.”

James leaned forward, his expression was serious like always. “The venue is large, and while I've secured the main entrances and exits with local security, we need to be cautious about crowded areas. I don't want anything to go wrong. I'll have a team in ground monitoring everything.”

Jimmy chuckled. “Always vigilante, we made the right choice,” he said.

“Yes, he feels familiar to me, thanks Jimmy for everything, you're the best.” I said to him,

“That means alot to me,” he replied.
