Chapter 93
In front of his friends, Thorn did everything he could not to become a sissy and passed out. He staggered a bit hearing that it was a girl, but other than that, nothing big happened, even though his emotions were all over the place. A princess! I'll have a cute and cuddly daughter! Fuck! Thorn wanted to jump for joy, but because he was in front of his friends, he acted calm and just hugged his wife.
Cassia thought Thorn was not happy. She was expecting a huge reaction; instead, he just smiled and hugged her.
She really thought Thorn was not pleased because they'd have a daughter instead of a son until he spoke over her ear while still hugging her.
"Hold me a bit," he said. "I think my knees are about to give up on me."
Cassia secretly grimaced, then hugged her husband. "I thought you didn't like that our firstborn would be a girl, he answered in a whisper.
"Are you kidding me?" Thorn hugged her tight. "I'm just acting like a tough guy because my friends would tease me to no end if I passed out here and now."
Cassia laughed softly at her husband's answer. "Are you that happy that we'll have a little Princess?"
"Yes," Thorn answered before taking a deep breath. "So hold me a bit longer. I don't want those lunatics to see me pass out. Your husband will be a laughing stock for months, so hold me tight, Cinnamon."
Cassia hugged her husband tighter while those inside the BV Hall applauded and had no idea what Thorn was really feeling. Everyone was happy until someone saw Cassius unconscious. Everyone inside the Hall turned their attention to Cassiuz, who was still unconscious.
Seeing this, Thorn asked while still hugging Cassia. "That oversized puppy is really faint. Why did he even faint? It's not even his."
"Maybe he's happy for you?" Cassia offered a reason, but Thorn just snorted.
"He stole my thunder, Thorn complained, then slowly released his wife from the embrace. "I think I'm okay now. I'm not going to pass out. I've calmed down."
"Are you sure?" Cassia assured.
Thorn nodded. "Yeah," Thorn asked while staring at the unconscious Cassiuz. "If he can react, it's like mine."
Cassia laughed softly, then wrapped an arm around Thorn's waist from behind. "Don't be mean to Kuya Cassiuz. He's your long, long, super long lost friend, you know."
Thorn tsked. "Just ignore him."
"You're being mean again, hon. Cassia pinched Thorn's side, then she went to Cassiuz, who was with Thorn's parents at the table. "Is he okay?" Cassia asked.
Ymar and Blaze were already checking on Cassiuz when he stirred awake and woke up while massaging his forehead.
"You alright?" Cassia immediately asked Cassiuz to sit down properly.
Cassiuz blinked at Cassia before he quickly averted his gaze. "I'm just a bit anemic."
"You don't look pale," Blaze commented, and since Cassia found out from Happy that Blaze's husband was a Doctor, she trusted Blaze's judgement. "Do you feel weak? Headache? Dizziness? Is this the first time you pass out?"
Ymar took out a new syringe from his pocket. "Let me get a blood sample, and I'll test it for CBC and Iron."
Cassiuz suddenly stood up and looked at Thorn, who was just behind Cassia, as if asking for help.
Thorn just held his breath because he knew the reason why Cassiuz lost consciousness. "Don't fuss over him. He's okay. He has medicine for his pain; maybe he just didn't drink."
Knight put his arms around Blaze and Ymar. "Let's go have fun. He's okay."
Cassiuz quickly nodded, then turned to Cassia. "I'm so sorry for causing trouble at your gender reveal party."
Cassia shook her head while smiling. "As long as you're okay, I don't mind."
Cassius smiled at Cassia. "I'm okay."
"Alright!" Czarina suddenly shouted from the stage in front of the microphone, "let's party, people!"
Hearing that, Cassia dragged his mother-in-law to the Amazon's table full of smiles. "Let's go, Mama! Let's party!"
Thorn wanted to follow her husband; she wanted to stop him, but her husband seemed to have forgotten her and went to the Amazons' table. He wasn't the only one who was forgotten, so he didn't complain. Every Amazon in the vicinity forgot about their husband and went to the party on their own.
His crazy friends sighed as they slumped their shoulders and headed for their table. Even Thorn's father's shoulder is broken because it was also forgotten by his wife.
And so, the Amazonas table was lively, while the men's table felt like a doom's day.
"I feel like we're being bullied at this gender reveal party," Knight said based on his observation.
Everyone nodded, except for the single friends who couldn't relate.
"We made an effort to dance," said Iuhence, who was eating barbecue.
Dark nodded. "We still practiced yesterday."
"We even imitated the choreography of the Masculados," Beckett said, shaking his head.
"Then we even destroyed our tuxedo," added Khairro.
Lath nodded. "I still made an effort to dance."
"Then this is what they will do to us?" Shun tsked and shook his head. "This is unfair! We should rebel!"
Even Thorn's father was visible and answered. "Right, right. Since you two won't fight now, you will continue to be understanding."
Everyone looked at Thorn's father. It was the only adult there.
"Talking from experience, Sir?" Tyrone asked.
Thorn's father nodded with a sad expression. "If you don't fight back now, what happened to me will happen to all of you. You will always be dominated."
Train asked. "You're not happy with your wife, sir?"
Thorn's father's face immediately cleared up. "Of course not! My wife is amazing, and she's the love of my life!"
Everyone nodded.
"Well, if you're happy, Sir, there's no problem then. We're all happy as well," Shun said, then raised the bottle of beer he was holding. "Let's not rebel!" Shun said it with so much dedication. "It's bad for our health."
Everyone nodded and agreed with Shun. It was indeed bad for their health.
So what the lunatics did next was invade the Amazonas table, dragging their chairs and table to where the Amazonas' tables were and sitting beside their respective wives.
"You're all mean," I immediately complained when everyone sat next to their wives. "Leaving us behind."
Melanie drank her wine. "If you can complain, our table is only a few meters apart."
While Themarie tsked at her husband. "Rebel, huh?"
Haze looked at her husband, Lath, flatly. "What will you do when you rebel?"
The crazy friends looked at each other and answered at the same time. "Drink!"
The Amazons just rolled their eyes and replied at the same time. "What's new?"
"We'll get drunk!" The friends added together.
SM answered while her husband, Knight, tried the barbecue. "Nothing new. Want a thousand cases of beer to help you with that?"
Everyone was silent as the other Amazons nodded and planned to buy a thousand cases of beer to get them drunk.
"This is a mistake," Tyron suddenly said. "We are getting bullied together."
Every lunatic nodded before standing up and pulling their table and chairs away from the Amazon, back to the same spot earlier.
Now separated from the Amazon again, the lunatics cheered and even raised their glasses.
Knight turned to Thorn while they were raising their bottle of beer and said, "Give us a message, Calderon. This is your wife's gender reveal. We don't do this gender reveal often."
With a lopsided smile, Thorn spoke. "One for all, and all for one."
"Hurray!" The lunatics answered before drinking beer from the bottle.
The Amazons, who heard and saw what their husbands were doing, shook their heads. And because the Amazons knew that what their husbands were going to do next was madness, they encouraged Doc. Let's start with the program they prepared.
When Doc went. At the podium, all the attention of the crazy friends went to Czarina.
Ymar even shouted, "That's my wife," with pride in his voice, even though his wife was crazy most of the time.
Czarina smiled into the microphone before speaking. "We prepared a program for baby Cass's gender reveal party," he read from the notes on the cellphone he was carrying. "After the reveal, the next step is choosing the godfather and godmother through games."
Thorn frowned. "Oh, shouldn't we as a couple be the ones shopping and making the decisions?" Thorn instructed his friends. "I don't want to be compared to half of these crazy people."
"Hey!" Thorn's friends immediately complained.
"How could you break our hearts like this?" Cali dramatized the cousin.
Cassia immediately stood up from her seat to go to her husband, hugged Thorn from behind, and kissed him on the cheek. "Hon, please just let them. It'll be fun, and I think anyone who gets to be our daughter's godmother and godfather will be a good person. Everyone inside this hall is trustworthy, very nice, and very dependable."
All the lunatics nodded and even put their thumbs up with smug faces.
"Listen to your wife," said Cali to Thorn. "She's so sweet, unlike you, who's mean and rude."
Hearing that, Cassia frowned at Cali. "Please don't be mean to my husband."
It was Thorn's turn to smile smugly. "You heard her, lunatics. Be nice to me or you'll make my wife cry."
Everyone secretly winced at Thorn's words. Knowing how their wives had conceived Cassia, they had to be careful not to make her cry. It'll be very bad for their health. Really bad.
"I'm not going to cry, ah," Cassia defended herself when she smiled at her husband's table companions. "So, please, be nice to my husband, pretty please.”
