S2- Same Trick

S2- Same Trick
Senna clenched her fists, rage surging through her veins. She panted heavily, her wide, tear-filled eyes glaring at him with pure hatred.

"It seems I haven't done enough for you to understand your place," Magnus said, running a finger over his wounded cheek.

A trace of blood smeared onto his fingertip. His gaze turned predatory, like a wolf savoring its prey before the kill. "Is giving birth to my child the only way to make you understand who I am to you?"

His eyes held a ruthless glint, as if he were a beast locking onto its target-one that he would consume entirely.

Senna swallowed nervously, inching further into the corner. His gaze, his demeanor-they terrified her. A chill seeped into her bones. Gritting her teeth, she spat, "You forced me into this. I won't apologize."

"I don't need an apology," Magnus said, maneuvering his wheelchair closer. He reached out, grabbing her wrist, intending to pull her into his arms.

Suddenly, a sharp glint of silver flashed.

Senna raised a knife she had long hidden and pressed it against her neck. Her bloodshot eyes were filled with defiance as she screamed, "Magnus, if you dare touch me, I will end my life right here!"

The sight of the blade against her delicate skin made Magnus's breath hitch. He immediately let go of her wrist, his voice tense with urgency. "Don't hurt yourself. I won't touch you."

"Get out," Senna commanded, her trembling hands tightening around the knife. Her loathing and disgust burned in her gaze.

Her hands were shaking so violently that Magnus feared she would accidentally cut herself. He tried to calm her down. "Just breathe. Put the knife down. I promise I won't touch you..."

"I don't want to hear another word from you. I don't even want to see you. Get out, or I'll slit my own throat!" Senna pressed the blade harder against her skin, a thin red line forming.

"Alright! I'll leave." Magnus's heart pounded in his chest, his face visibly tense as he quickly backed away.

Senna's breaths came in ragged gasps. Her voice, hoarse with hatred, trembled as she said, "Go marry whoever you want. Have children with whoever you want. I don't care. But don't you dare think you can control me."

She was right. He would only have children with the woman he married.

And that woman had always been the same person.

Her hateful gaze was enough to destroy him. The cruelest words always came from the ones who mattered most.

He had pushed her away back then-so what right did he have to feel this pain now?

But the pain was unbearable, as if a thousand arrows had pierced his heart.

Magnus left the room in silence. As the door closed softly behind him, Senna finally lowered the knife. Her heart pounded wildly, her body collapsing weakly against the wall.

She had kept the knife to protect herself, yet she never expected him to fear her death.

Curling up on the cold windowsill, she let out a quiet, bitter laugh. Tears slipped silently from the corners of her eyes.

What was he thinking?

He was about to marry someone else, yet he still insisted on having a child with her.

Was this all part of some twisted scheme?

No.

She would never give him another chance to hurt her.

She would never allow herself to carry his child again.

...

Upon hearing the news of Magnus's upcoming marriage, the old master was furious, nearly suffering a heart attack. The butler hurriedly went to summon Magnus.

When Magnus arrived and saw that the old master was still full of energy, he immediately turned to leave.

"Stop right there!" The old master's face turned livid with rage as he scolded, "You're getting married without discussing it with me? Do you still consider me your grandfather?"

Magnus's grip on the wheelchair's armrest tightened. Slowly, he turned back around, meeting the old master's furious gaze with an expression both calm and resolute. "All my life, I've walked the path you laid out for me. Now, I want to choose my own way. You can't stop me. You won't be able to."

"Don't forget, that woman is the murderer who set fire to kill your younger brother. If you marry her, how will you face him?" The old master slammed the table in anger, his voice trembling with emotion. The world thought Magnus was marrying Astrid, but the old master knew the truth-Magnus had only ever wanted to marry Senna.

Magnus's gaze darkened, icy and piercing. "Even if she did start the fire, she has already paid the price. Besides, I don't believe she did it. She's innocent."

She was a kind-hearted girl who had never abandoned her sickly half-brother, standing by him until the very end. Her life should have been bright and beautiful, not filled with tragedy.

The old master's sharp eyes locked onto him. "Are you marrying her out of guilt?"

"No matter what you say, I will marry her. I have work to do at the company. I'll be going now." With that, Magnus turned his wheelchair and left without looking back.

"You... You're going to be the death of me! It's all because of that woman... What kind of spell has she cast on him?" The old master clutched his chest in anger, his face turning ashen.

The butler quickly handed him a cup of water. "Master, please don't get so worked up. Take care of your health."

After taking a sip, the old master narrowed his sharp eyes and ordered, "Summon Astrid."

The butler hesitated for a moment before realizing the old master's intent. "Master, are you planning to use the same trick again?"

A sinister smirk curled on the old man's lips. "That woman is ruthless and will do anything to get what she wants. She's the perfect choice to get rid of Senna."

"Brilliant move, Master. I'll bring her here immediately." The butler nodded in agreement and left to carry out the order.

At that moment, Astrid was at a bridal boutique trying on wedding dresses. Seeing the old master's butler arrive, she immediately put on the haughty demeanor of a future mistress. "I'm thirsty. Bring me a glass of water first."

She was a vindictive woman. She still vividly remembered how Magnus had humiliated her at the Voss estate. But now, she was about to become the Voss family's young madam, while this butler was nothing more than the old master's dog.

The butler remained composed and replied evenly, "Miss Thorne, the old master has asked to discuss the wedding arrangements with you. If you don't want anything to go wrong with the marriage, I suggest you come with me immediately."

"You insolent dog! Who do you think you are, speaking to me like that?" Astrid flared up with rage and immediately raised her hand to slap him. How dare this fool curse her when she was about to become the Voss family's young madam?

But before she could strike, the butler's eyes flashed coldly, and he swiftly caught her wrist, his grip so tight that it nearly crushed her bones.

"Ah! It hurts! Let go of me! Let me go!" Astrid's face turned pale from the pain, and she screamed in fury, "If you dare treat me like this, I'll tell Magnus to have you executed!"
