Chapter 277 You finally married me.

Chapter 277 You finally married me.

Ariana's maturity tugged at Autumn's heartstrings.
"Ariana, this is something I prepared especially for you. When Stella gets married, I'll make sure to prepare a wedding gift for her too. You don't have to be so understanding all the time."
Ariana lowered her gaze, accustomed to such situations.
"She's the daughter I've raised with my own hands. Deep down, she's a kind girl. I believe she'll understand me. If she can't, then all my years of careful teaching would have been in vain."
Stella was the daughter Autumn had raised herself. Perhaps because of the hardships they endured and the joy of having her back, she cherished her daughter deeply.
With three sons, many things were handled by others, but for her daughter, Autumn did everything personally.
"Ariana, I know treating Stella as my own daughter might seem unfair to you, no matter what I do. I'm grateful for your understanding."
As Autumn spoke, her eyes began to well up with tears. She was truly a sensitive person.
Perhaps it was because she felt she owed Ariana so much.
"I always feel like I've let you down."
With Stella in the picture, Autumn had to ensure she treated both daughters equally.
But clearly, Ariana was the one who had endured the most. She deserved more of the attention, but to keep things balanced with Stella, she couldn't receive more.
"Mom, let me share my thoughts too. I'm really grateful to be back in this family. I have no regrets. You and Dad are sensible people, and you're both good-hearted. I'm very thankful."
Ariana held Autumn's hand tightly. "I have a mom and dad, and a brother. I feel incredibly lucky. That's enough for me, truly enough."
The mother and daughter embraced, tears of happiness streaming down their faces.
Ariana thought that spending so much time with her mom might turn her into someone who tears up at the drop of a hat.
That night, Rosalind, the bridesmaid, stayed over at Ariana's place, refusing to leave her room.
"Sis, I want to sleep with you tonight."
Since starting college, Rosalind and Ariana hadn't seen each other much, so this was a rare chance to be together.
Just then, a voice message from Lucas came through.
"Honey, I'm so excited, I can't sleep."
Tomorrow was their wedding day, a day they had been waiting for over six months.
Finally, it was almost here.
How could they not be excited?
Ariana was about to say something when Rosie snatched the phone and sent a voice message.
"Hold it in! Just hold it in!"
Ariana laughed beside her; these two always bickered whenever they met.
Lucas's voice message came through again.
"You brat, get lost!"
"I'm not going anywhere, nope, nope, nope!" Rosie hugged Ariana and recorded a video.
"Right now, your sister is in my arms. I can hug her, kiss her, and touch her! You're so jealous!"
Ariana rolled her eyes, "You two are such kids."
"Let go of my wife!"
Rosie turned off the phone, dancing with joy.
"He might just explode from anger, haha!"
"If he does, you won't have a brother-in-law."
Rosie thought about it for a moment, "You're right. If I want anything, I can't mess with him. But tomorrow at the wedding, I'm definitely gonna mess with him."
The two sisters chatted late into the night, not realizing it was already 2 AM.
By a little after 5 AM, Ariana and Rosie were woken up.
Ariana, barely opening her eyes, was ushered to the vanity, where five or six people were attending to her hair and makeup.
Rosie stood by, feeding her some water and snacks.
As she snuck a bite for herself, she said, "Sis, getting married is such a hassle! I don't want to get married in the future."
"That's not entirely up to you," Ariana replied with a wry smile.
"Why can't it be? I just won't get married, or even date anyone. I think it's great being single. I want to be a single noble."
"Just don't let Dad hear you say that."
Being his precious daughter, if she didn't marry, Michael wouldn't even have a grandchild to dote on.
Stella walked over with a plate of fruit, specially prepared for Ariana.
But she found that Rosie had already swooped in, and the two were chatting and laughing, looking closer than Stella felt with Ariana.
Lately, Stella had been keeping her distance from Ariana, and they had grown somewhat apart.
She looked at the fruit in her hand, feeling a bit ridiculous, and then carried it away.
At nine o'clock, Lucas came to pick up the bride.
Her three brothers, along with little troublemaker Rosie, gave Lucas a hard time.
If it weren't for the fact that the auspicious time was approaching, Lucas might not have made it through.
Sitting in the wedding car, it felt like the whole world had quieted down.
"They almost wore me out," Lucas said, loosening his tie. "Those three brothers, none of them are married yet. I'll be waiting for my turn to get back at them."
"When they get married, you'll be on the groom's side. You can't help the bride's side, can you? Are you planning to be a traitor?"
Lucas furrowed his brow. "So there's no way for me to get even, huh?"
Ariana rubbed her head, realizing she couldn't even touch her scalp. "My head feels so heavy! It feels like I'm carrying twenty pounds."
Lucas looked at her. "You look beautiful."
Ariana was dressed in a red wedding gown, wearing a phoenix crown on her head, exuding elegance and joy.
With her naturally delicate features, she was truly a sight to behold, impossible to look away from.
Even Lucas, who was used to her beauty, found her stunning.
"What's there to look at? The makeup's too thick, I can't even bear to look."
Ariana had never worn such heavy makeup before, "My face is as red as a baboon's butt."
"I'd still love to kiss that baboon's butt."
The driver up front couldn't help but chuckle.
Ariana felt even more embarrassed, "Stop talking nonsense."
"I'm just stating the truth." Lucas kept his eyes on her, as if he could never get enough.
He took her hand.
"I was so excited I didn't sleep all night, what about you?"
"Rosalind and I talked until who knows when, probably until two. I got less than three hours of sleep before being dragged up. Weddings are such a hassle."
"It's okay, just this once, we'll get through it."
"I'm finally marrying you."
"Yes, you're finally marrying me." Lucas suddenly shouted, "You're finally marrying me!"
Ariana quickly covered his mouth, "Stop embarrassing yourself."
"I want the whole world to know that you're finally marrying me. You're my wife, my Queen Ariana!"
"…"
When they reached the hotel, Ariana was taken to the lounge.
She needed to change into her wedding gown, and her makeup and hair needed some adjustments.
Lucas had to greet the guests.
Rosalind and Stella wore matching bridesmaid dresses.
Rosalind eagerly rushed up to Ariana. "Sister, do I look pretty?"
She twirled around as she spoke.
The bridesmaid dress was exquisitely crafted, a creation by Susan Zhou.
"You look beautiful."
"I think so too, hehe!"
The wedding proceeded smoothly.
