Chapter 259 Her name is Ariana Bluefield.
Chapter 259 Her name is Ariana Bluefield.
She had imagined countless times where her biological daughter might be and what kind of life she was living.
If she found her, what would she need to do?
But when everything was finally revealed, she felt a mix of joy and sadness.
If her daughter needed money, she could give her plenty.
No matter what industry she was in, if she needed resources, she could provide them.
But Ariana had everything she needed.
There was nothing she could do, nothing she could make up for.
Ariana turned slightly, "Do I lack parents? Well, now it's complete, isn't it?"
Autumn looked at Ariana's calm face, and her heart ached.
How could she be so understanding?
Ariana reached over Stella and wiped away Autumn's tears.
"Get some sleep. It's all in the past now."
Autumn suddenly felt even more guilty. She should be comforting her daughter, but instead, her daughter was comforting her.
"What would you like for breakfast tomorrow? I'll make it for you," Autumn sniffed, sounding a bit childish.
"Can you cook?"
Autumn blinked, "Not really."
Probably not, Ariana thought to herself.
"You don't have to go out of your way."
"I can learn! Just tell me what you want to eat."
"Fried bread slices and millet porridge."
Ariana didn't dare to ask for anything too complicated.
"Alright, I'll make it for you tomorrow! I promise you'll love it," Autumn declared confidently.
She couldn't wait to see her daughter enjoying a breakfast she made.
Ariana, however, wasn't as excited...
As they chatted, they eventually fell asleep.
Autumn was the first to drift off, while Ariana lay awake.
The bed was large, but with three adults, it felt a bit cramped.
Ariana really wasn't used to sharing a bed with others.
She quietly took out her phone. "Are you asleep?"
She realized she'd been so caught up talking with Autumn that she hadn't replied to Lucas's messages.
"You finally remembered me," Lucas's message popped up.
"Why are you still awake?"
"I was worried you couldn't sleep."
Ariana couldn't help but smile at the playful emoji on her screen.
"Can't sleep because you're thinking about me, huh?"
"You got me!"
Lucas sent a shy emoji.
"Is it really insomnia?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah, I'm not used to sleeping with someone else," Ariana admitted.
"Not used to others, but you like sleeping next to me," Lucas sent several smug emojis.
Ariana was a bit taken aback.
It seemed she really did feel comfortable sleeping next to Lucas.
"Admit it, you can't live without me," Lucas messaged.
"Yes, I can't live without you."
Lucas sent an emoji of someone laughing with hands on hips.
"Are you too excited to sleep now?" Ariana asked.
"Totally!"
"Well, keep being excited. I'm going to sleep," Ariana could imagine Lucas on the other side of the screen feeling frustrated.
"Don't be like that! You got me all worked up, and now you're going to sleep? Is that fair?"
"Totally fair," Ariana sent a mischievous smile emoji.
Lucas sent over a "you're so sneaky" emoji.
Whatever you say.
Then Lucas sent a series of cheeky emojis.
Ariana's face turned bright red; she could hardly stand to look.
It was already 2 AM, and she really needed to sleep.
They said goodnight to each other.
Ariana stared at the ceiling, then glanced at Autumn.
She was happy.
She had found her biological parents.
She finally had her own last name.
Ariana Bluefield.
She was no longer embarrassed to introduce herself, whether as Ariana Summer or Nicole James, neither felt right.
Lemon was just a code name.
Now, she finally had her true name.
Ariana Bluefield, and she loved it.
Ariana eventually fell asleep, only to be woken up the next morning by some noise along with Stella.
Stella frowned and asked, "What's that smell?"
Ariana sniffed the air, "Something's burning, I think."
The two of them quickly snapped out of their daze, changed clothes, and rushed downstairs. They found a group of servants standing outside the kitchen, each looking worried.
Occasional puffs of smoke emerged from the kitchen.
"What happened?" Ariana asked.
"Madam said you wanted fried bread slices for breakfast. We said we could make them, but Madam and Sir insisted on doing it themselves, and well..."
This was the result.
Ariana scratched her head, thinking that a bowl of millet porridge and some fried bread slices seemed simple enough.
Surely it shouldn't have led to setting the kitchen on fire?
After all, when Lucas made it for her, it only took a few minutes.
Inside the kitchen, Autumn and Matthew's voices could still be heard.
"I told you the heat was too high, but you wouldn't listen."
"You cut the bread slices so thick, how could they cook with low heat?"
The two of them were arguing non-stop.
Stella turned to Ariana, "Your parents really adore you! They're actually cooking breakfast for you."
She felt a bit envious. She had never seen her parents cook themselves.
Occasionally, when Autumn felt inspired, she might attempt to cook, but it was mostly supervising the servants while she watched, claiming credit for the meal.
Even Samuel, who rarely came home, never had the luxury of his parents cooking for him.
Ariana felt a bit touched.
The kitchen smoke finally cleared after more than half an hour.
By the time they sat down for breakfast, it was already past nine.
The family sat neatly around the dining table.
"Ariana, this is mom's special fried bread. Give it a try," Autumn said, offering a piece to Ariana like it was a treasure.
Ariana looked at the bread with little black spots and wasn't particularly hungry.
It was a bit burnt.
But she had noticed the pile of completely charred bread in the kitchen trash can.
This piece, with just a few black spots, was actually quite good.
There were only five or six somewhat decent pieces on the plate.
"Thanks, Mom," Ariana said without showing any displeasure.
"I made that," Matthew quickly interjected.
"What do you mean you made it? The ones you made are already in the trash. Have some self-awareness, will you?" Autumn retorted quickly.
Matthew, who usually doted on his wife, was unusually competitive today.
"You should say that to yourself.
You didn't use enough oil, and everything got burnt," Matthew teased.
Autumn rolled her eyes dismissively. "And what about you? Didn't you see your dad pour in half a bottle of oil? It still got burnt in the end!"
Ariana listened to the playful banter between the two, finding it quite amusing.
Maybe this is what a happy family looks like, she thought.
Charles and Fiona would also bicker, but their words were like daggers, piercing straight to the heart.
Autumn and Matthew, on the other hand, seemed more like they were flirting.
"Is there any toast left?" Stella suddenly asked the housekeeper.
"No, ma'am used it all up," the housekeeper replied.
