Chapter 86 Sharing excited her

Chapter 86 Sharing excited her
Butcher

My phone beeped again. For the millionth time. What is it with texting one sentence at a time? Can’t a guy write a whole thought? I scowled at Beast’s latest message. As if I didn’t know the kids were staying at Lia and Owen’s tonight. The boy acts like I’m his dad. Well, hell. I guess I am, in a way. He’s been with me as long as he was with his real father. Longer, maybe.

I leaned back in my chair. I remembered that skinny kid, running from one of the worst nights a person can have. It’s a terrible thing, losing your best friend. But Beast turned into one of the finest men I know. Loyal. Good at his job. Knew how to keep his mouth shut. And he could handle himself as well as any of my men.

Making him Secretary was a smart move. The kid is organized. His notes from our meetings are always right. He keeps track of everything, missions, deals, shipments, schedules for the Prospects. Him and Clown together, they keep the club’s money straight.

I’m proud of my men. Doc as VP. Torque as Sergeant at Arms. Beast as Secretary. Clown as Treasurer. Then my three Enforcers: Viper, Rockstar, and now Hex. Hex is a damn good addition. Bear is my Road Captain. He got the patch four years ago. We lost our last Captain during that mess saving Jenna from the Mafia. The Prospects are coming along. Most of them. Except two. Jake and Max.

I got up with a sigh and walked out into the commons.

My eyes took in the scene. I shook my head, a smirk on my face. Bodies everywhere. Skin everywhere. My mood soured fast. There was Max. He was supposed to be at the gate. Instead, he was getting his dick sucked by Sasha. Before I could get over there, I looked for Jake. He was meant to be watching the bar, so these animals didn’t drink us dry. He was gone. Not a sign of him. He does that a lot now. Vanishing. I’m starting to think he won’t make it.

I walked over to Max and Sasha. I took hold of Sasha’s neck, gentle but solid, and pulled her off of him.

“Go find another one, darling. This one’s in trouble.”

She smiled at me. Giggled. Stumbled away.

“Ah, come on, Prez. I was close.”

“Aren’t you on the gate tonight?”

“No. That’s Alex. I had the day shift.”

Right. Beast would have known that.

“My mistake, kid. You see Jake?”

“He went to the bathroom five minutes ago.”

“Thanks. Go find Myla. She does something with her tongue. You’ll lose your mind.”

“Yeah? Thanks, Prez.”

“Sure.”

I headed for the bathrooms. I could hear moaning. It pissed me off. I banged on the door. I kept banging until it opened.

“Sorry, Prez. My stomach is bad,” Jake said. I looked past him. Who the hell was making that noise?

“Was that you? Moaning in there?”

His face went red. “Yeah. I have not… gone… in two days. Thought it was time. Sorry I took so long.”

“It is all right. Next time, tell someone to watch the bar before you leave it.”

“Yeah. Okay. I will get back.”

I nodded. I watched him. I did not know if I believed him.

A loud groan pulled my attention. I laughed. Doc had some woman on her knees. Another man was taking her from behind. That guy is my age. And just like me, nothing stops him. I saw Kiki. She looked good tonight. She came to us a year ago. One of our newest girls. Her and Myla. Kiki cannot get enough. She is a nice girl, though. I think she came with Jake. Huh. I will have to ask her.

This is the life. We ride. We fight. We make a lot of money. And we fuck. Out here or behind a door, we do not care.

My smile slipped. I thought about how my life could have gone. I could have an Old Lady. Maybe some kids. But Val left with that traitorous bastard. God, I am happy he is dead. I just wish I was the one who did it.

Another woman came into my head. I hate when she does that. I really messed up with her. Moira. My red-haired beauty.

Four years ago, I met a siren. I wore my Armani suit that day. A meeting with my accountant and my financial advisor. I wanted to expand the clubhouse upstairs. I knew we had the money, but my father taught me to check the books every six months.

After the meeting, as I left the building, I literally bumped into Moira. She was walking in. I did not know it then, but she was my financial advisor’s sister. This world is so damn small. I caught her before she fell. She smelled like flowers. Sweet. Delicate. She was so small. Five feet tall to my six-three. I was apologizing all over myself when she giggled. That was it for me. I asked her to lunch right there. She said yes.

At lunch, I asked all the first-date questions. She was thirty-five. Single. Her brother was my financial advisor. No kids. Lived with her cat, Molly. A fitness instructor. She owned her own gym for women. ‘Girl Power’. I knew the place. I had invested in it when her brother, Stephen, said it was a good opportunity. And it was. She opened three more across the state.

For six months, we were fire. I was even thinking of asking her to be my Old Lady. She knew about the club. She came to family dinners, to parties. She was fun. A free spirit. And I ruined it.

It started when I saw her having lunch with some guy. Torque, Doc, and I decided to get lunch for the club. Give Jenna a break. We had thirty members then. It was not a huge deal. No club girls or Old Ladies would be there. Just us. We were planning a run.

We walked into the sandwich shop. I saw her red hair and I felt happy. Then I saw some prick lean over and tuck her hair behind her ear. We all know what that means. So I marched over. She looked up and smiled. Then her eyes got wide at the look on my face. Before she could speak, I had the guy by his shirt, slammed against the wall. I told him to keep his hands off my girl.

She did not like that. Not one bit. She introduced him as her cousin, Ron. He was visiting from out of town. Oops. I had embarrassed her. She pulled me outside. While Torque and Doc got the food, she screamed at me right there on the street.

Three days later, I thought I would surprise her at her gym. See if she wanted dinner. I pulled up and she was outside, talking to another man. He was standing very close. I watched them. Old, ugly feelings came up. I saw Val and Atlas all over again. So, being the idiot I am, I stormed over. I shoved the guy. Told him he was too close to Moira. The guy laughed and shoved me back. So I hit him. He went down. She screamed. Then she was yelling at me, helping the guy up. She said they were just friends. Talking about opening a new gym in New Jersey. She yelled that I was overbearing. That I was acting like a child. She was right. But my pride was hurt. So I opened my stupid mouth and yelled back. Maybe we should not be together, then, if I am so immature. Then I walked away.

For two months, I stayed away. I fucked every club girl we had. But no one could get her out of my head. The night Catalina walked into the club, I thought, maybe her. But then Viper called dibs. Thank God he did. That night, I tried to call Moira. She did not answer. The next day, I went to her gym. She was not there. I finally broke and called her brother. He said he did not mix personal and business. Talking about his sister crossed a line. So I threatened to take my money elsewhere. Then he told me. She moved to New Jersey to open that new gym. She was dating the man I punched.

Then there was Hattie. Carrie’s older sister. We got along great. The woman was wild. She liked having another girl in bed with us. Sharing excited her. But she was divorced. She did not want anything serious.

So here I am. Fifty years old. Running my MC for almost twenty-five years. Living my life all the way. And I am so goddamn lonely.

Seeing Torque find his girl. Viper finding his. Even Beast. Now Hex has Owen. It is like everyone is finding their missing piece except me. Hell, I sound like I am whining. But meeting Lia, seeing all her sweetness… it made me want that. I want someone to protect. To love. To hold.

I shook my head and went back to my office. I sent texts to River, Max, Jake, and Jones, another Prospect. Told them to meet at Lia and Owen’s in the morning. I sighed and sat back in my chair. I thought about Lia’s story. That bastard Liam better stay gone for good. She is ours now. We look after our own.
