Chapter 141 Chapter 141
Chapter 141 Chapter 141
Aliyah’s POV
My wolf’s scream still echoed through the dusty warehouse, the raw power of it hanging heavy in the air. Tatiana froze for a split second, her hand hovering dangerously close to Asher’s exposed body. Her eyes widened in surprise, but the twisted smirk quickly returned. She thought she had won. She thought my desperate outburst was nothing more than a mother’s pathetic cry.
She was wrong. Asher’s eyes met mine across the dim space, and in that single glance, something primal ignited between us. His wolf surged forward with a guttural growl that shook the metal beams above us. In one explosive motion, he wrenched free from the men holding him down. His body began to shift, bones cracking, muscles rippling, fur erupting across his powerful frame. Within seconds, his massive dark wolf stood where the man I loved had been, eyes glowing with lethal fury.
I didn’t hesitate. The pain in my lower abdomen was excruciating, the blood still seeping slowly down my thighs, but the mother’s rage inside me overpowered everything. My own wolf answered the call. A brilliant purple light flared around me as I shifted, my sleek purple wolf emerging with a strength I hadn’t known I possessed. The color of my fur shimmered like amethyst under the faint warehouse light. It was a rare, powerful manifestation that had always set me apart.
Together, our wolves moved as one.
Tatiana’s men scrambled for their guns, but it was too late. Asher’s wolf lunged first, his powerful jaws clamping down on the nearest man’s throat with brutal force. A sickening crunch echoed as blood sprayed across the concrete floor. The second man fired a wild shot that grazed Asher’s shoulder, but my purple wolf was already on him. I leaped with blinding speed, my claws slashing deep across his chest before my teeth sank into his arm, tearing through muscle and bone. He screamed once before going silent.
Tatiana backed away, her gun trembling in her hand.
"Stay back!” she shrieked, firing two wild shots that missed us both. Fear finally cracked through her smug mask.
“You can’t do this! I have the children!” Asher’s wolf snarled, low and deadly, circling her from the left while my purple wolf closed in from the right. We moved in perfect sync, driven by the same burning need to protect our family. Tatiana tried to run toward the back room where her men had taken Elara and Hope, but Asher was faster. He slammed into her side, knocking the gun from her grip and sending it skittering across the floor.
She hit the ground hard, scrambling backward on her hands and knees. “Asher, please! I loved you! That night five years ago meant something!”
My purple wolf growled deep in my chest, the sound vibrating with years of pent-up pain, the humiliation at Elara’s party, the torn dress, the public lies, the kidnapping, and now the blood I was losing because of her. I lunged forward, pinning her down with my front paws. Asher’s wolf joined me, his massive form towering over her.
Tatiana’s eyes widened in pure terror as she realized there was no escape.
"No… wait… I can—” Asher’s wolf struck first, his powerful jaws closing around her throat. I followed with a vicious slash of my claws across her chest, tearing through fabric and flesh. Together, we ended her. Her body convulsed once, twice, then went still. Blood pooled beneath her, dark and final. The woman who had tormented us for so long was gone.
The warehouse fell silent except for our heavy breathing. I shifted back almost instantly, the purple light fading as my human form returned. Pain slammed into me again, the bleeding between my legs had worsened, and dizziness clouded my vision. Asher shifted back too, pulling his pants up quickly before rushing to my side.
"Aliyah!” His voice was rough with worry as he scooped me up. “You’re bleeding. We need to get you to the hospital.”
But my eyes were already searching for the girls. “Elara… Hope… where are they?”
We found them in the back room, still tied to the chairs but now unconscious from fear and exhaustion. Elara’s injured arm looked even worse — badly swollen, the skin bruised purple and black where the sling had been brutally yanked off. She wasn’t moving. Hope was slumped forward, breathing shallowly but alive. Asher untied them with trembling hands while I cradled Elara against me, tears streaming down my face.
“Baby… Mommy’s here. Wake up, sweetheart. Please wake up.”
Elara didn’t respond. Her small body was limp in my arms, her breathing too shallow for comfort. The pain in her arm must have been unbearable, and the trauma of the kidnapping had finally taken its toll. She had passed out.
Panic surged through me. “We have to get her to the hospital now! Her arm… she’s not waking up!”
Asher carried Hope while I held Elara close. We rushed out of the warehouse, leaving Tatiana’s body and her dead men behind. The morning sun felt blinding as we reached our car. Asher drove like a man possessed, breaking every speed limit as we raced toward the city hospital. I sat in the back seat with both girls, Elara’s head resting on my lap, my hand gently stroking her hair while blood continued to stain my clothes.
“Hold on, baby,” I whispered through tears. “Mommy and Daddy are taking you to get help. You’re going to be okay. Your arm will heal. We’re safe now. Tatiana can’t hurt us anymore.”
Hope stirred slightly in Asher’s jacket, murmuring for her mommy, but Elara remained unconscious. Every second felt like an eternity. I kept checking her pulse, terrified that the stress and pain had pushed her little body too far. The bleeding from my own body reminded me constantly of the fragile life inside me. Had I lost the baby in the fight? Was I still carrying our second child?
Asher glanced back constantly, his face pale and streaked with sweat.
“She’s strong, Aliyah. Just like you. She’ll pull through. We all will.”
The hospital emergency entrance came into view. Medical staff rushed out as soon as we arrived, wheeling stretchers for the girls. Elara was taken immediately for scans and pain management on her arm. Doctors swarmed around her, their faces serious as they noted the swelling and possible re-fracture. Hope was examined for her bruises and dehydration.
I was placed on another bed, an IV started while they checked the bleeding. Asher stayed by my side, holding my hand tightly as tears finally escaped his eyes.
“We did it,” he whispered. “We got them back. Tatiana is gone.”
But all I could focus on was the curtain separating me from Elara’s room. Nurses moved quickly, monitors beeping. My heart ached with every second she remained unconscious. The purple wolf inside me had fought fiercely, but now the human mother in me was breaking.
"Please let her be okay,” I prayed silently, squeezing Asher’s hand.
"Let our family heal from this nightmare.” The doctors worked urgently on Elara while I lay there, weak and bleeding, praying that the worst was finally behind us. Tatiana was dead. The threat was over. But the cost — Elara’s pain, my possible miscarriage, the trauma etched into our children’s minds would take time to heal.
For now, all that mattered was that my daughter opened her eyes again. That Hope returned safely to Tracy. That the tiny life inside me kept fighting.
We had survived the monster. Now we had to survive the aftermath.
