Chapter 73

But something about Zillah made Riana uncomfortable. She never felt quite at ease around her, as if she was hiding something.

“I’m not comfortable with it and I don’t know why,” she said to herself.

“Let’s have dinner together with Killian, Riana,” Zillah smiled at her.

“O—Okay,” she stammered.

She followed Zillah on their way to the dining table and there, servants prepared so much food and they sit and eat.

Alpha Killian was also very surprised at Zillah’s kindness towards Riana.

He took a deep breath and eat while glancing at Riana’s face.

“So how’s your day?” Zillah asked Riana in front of Alpha Killian.

“Good,” she replied sparingly.

“That’s good to hear. Anyway thank you for accepting my apology,” Zillah smiled sweetly.

“Good to hear that you are okay together now, “Alpha Killian said, smiling.

“Yes of course. I just want to change and forget everything that happened,” Zillah replied, smiling.

Alpha Killian swallowed his saliva at what Zillah said. He remembered what happened between Riana and him. They had sex and that is really forbidden because he has his Luna, Zillah, and Riana is his brother’s mate.

“Uhmm, my head suddenly hurt and I think I need to take a rest now,” Riana lied.

“Ohhh I’m sorry. I will command someone to give you medicine. Just wait for your room, Okay?”Zillah asked gently.

“Okay thank you, Zillah” she thanked Zillah.

The next morning, as Riana was lying in her bed, Zillah knocked on the door and enter her room. Zillah was holding a box.

Inside, Riana was shocked to see a bloody scar pack. Without a word, Zillah opened the box and revealed what was inside.

There were pictures of Riana, taken from a distance, with notes detailing how well she fight in the arena. Riana was horrified. What was Zillah up to? Why had she been watching Riana so closely?

“Do you like it?”Zillah asked, smiling.

Riana wanted to confront Zillah about her strange behavior, but she was too afraid. She didn't know what to do, so she kept quiet and tried to put the strange encounter behind her.

“Y—Yes, Why did you do this?” she asked.

“I thought you like it. How are you feeling now?” Zillah asked her.

“Well, better” she replied.

“That’s nice. Here are some of the medicines for you,” Zillah added.

But Riana couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. She began to fear that Zillah wasn't as kind and generous as she seemed. She started to wonder if Zillah was trying to manipulate her or worse.

Riana's fear and confusion only grew as the days passed and Zillah's strange behavior continued. She was determined to find out what Zillah was up to, but she was scared of what she might discover.

Riana shared her confusion with Melissa. She told her about the sudden change in Zillah's behavior and how uncomfortable she felt.

“I just don't understand,' Riana said. 'It's like Zillah was a different person in the castle. She actually cared about me and was trying to make sure I was having a good time. It's so unlike her.”She said.

Melissa listened intently, her brow furrowed in thought. “That's strange,” she said. “Maybe Zillah is trying to change. Have you asked her about it?”

Riana shook her head. “No, I haven't. I'm not sure I want to. I'm just not used to this kind of behavior from her. It's really unbelievable.”

Melissa nodded in understanding. “Maybe this is Zillah's way of trying to be good to you even if there is something between you and her Alpha,” Melissa told her.

“Melissa!”

“Why? Isn’t it true, Luna?” Melissa asked firmly.

Riana can’t answer and took a deep breath.

“If you're comfortable, why don't you talk to her and see what she has to say?'

Riana contemplated this for a moment. She was still a little uncertain, but Melissa's suggestion made sense. Maybe it was worth hearing what Zillah had to say. Taking a deep breath, Riana agreed to talk to her. She had to find out what was going on - it was the only way to make sense of things.

“I’ll go ahead, Melissa, “she said goodbye.

Riana stopped in the hallway, her heart pounding as she heard a moan from one of the rooms. As she turned to look, her eyes widened in shock as she saw two wolves inside the room, having sex. She suddenly remember what happened before. She remembered how Alpha Killian and Zillah broke her heart before. Seeing him with someone else made her heartache, and her anger grew inside her. She remembered the pain and betrayal she had felt when he had left her for Zillah, and she couldn't take it any longer. Tears streamed down her face as she ran away, unable to control her emotions.

On the other hand, Killian saw her running away and followed after her. He knew he had to talk to her.

But as he reached her door, she was already gone. He wanted to tell her what happened, but it was too late. He was left standing alone in the hallway. He was confused why Riana was crying. But he knows he should avoid Riana and stopped himself from approaching her.

Riana had locked herself in her room, feeling a mix of emotions. She was angry, sad, confused, and hurt. She knew she had to confront him, to tell him how he had betrayed her and broken her trust. She was ready to finally let her feelings out and tell him exactly how she felt. But as she sat alone in her room, she knew that even though she found the reason to stop loving him, she has many reasons to love him. In the end, all she could do was cry, her heart breaking with the pain of her unspoken words.

The next day, Zillah announced that there will be a party inside the castle to celebrate their Anniversary with Alpha Killian.

Riana gets hurt and angry because she remembered the day when Alpha Killian and Zillah betrayed her and banished her from the castle before.

“Anniversary? Fuck!” She cursed.

“Just go with the flow, Luna. You should enjoy it and show them that you are happy for them now, “Melissa said.

“Even it hurts, “Melissa Added.

“Can you please leave me alone, Melissa?” she begged weakly.

She sit on her bed and her tears started to fall while looking at the Vanity mirror.

“Okay. I’ll give you what you want, Zillah!” she said emphatically.

Riana arrived at the party feeling a mix of emotions. On one hand, she was surrounded by the opulence of the castle, and it brought back happy memories of her time there. But on the other hand, she was filled with hurt and anger as she remembered the day Alpha Killian and Zillah had betrayed her and banished her before.

She can’t help but glance at Alpha Killian. They look at each other for a seconds. She saw the sadness in Alpha Killian’s eyes.

“That eyes, No!” she told herself.

She couldn't help but feel a little out of place, and a bit angry at Zillah for throwing the party to celebrate her and Alpha Killian's anniversary. With every step she took, she could feel the weight of her bitterness and resentment growing heavier.

But as the night went on, Zillah had been nothing but kind to her.

“I know your fake, Zillah,” her mind says.

“Let’s play the game,” she added.
