Twenty Four

Twenty Four
ELARA'S POV

It was another lonely day in my house. I didn't feel lonely though but I would still call it a lonely environment, I was left with the old cringe woman and crickets at night.

For past days I had barely eaten, I could not think of any other thing but Liam and my children. How I could possibly get them back into my arms and then point a gun at Liam and blow off his head.
"Where's my.... gotcha." I brought out the laptop from the bag.

The only thing I could make for myself right now is coffee and I did that immediately.

Every minute I spend without doing research is a waste of time for me and that is not what I want.

"And now....I will begin." I Googled and searched for the fire accident.

Car accident. Whatever thing that was involved in my parents death.

I made sure to know the people that attended to him last and everyone that was present in his ordination.
The news I read didn't get to my brain, I still wanted a clear definition of what happened. What happened in the news still didn't correspond with what I was reading here.

I made sure I wasn't reading an old article, the date is the same date as when the incident happened.

"What the fuck am I reading?" I got tired of the article and switched to something else.

For everything that I have read, Liam isn't involved. As much as I want to kill him at first sight I still can't believe that he would actually do this to me.

I heard the doorbell.

That must be the delivery guy.

"Hold. I'm coming." I got up immediately and pulled the door open.

"Your package ma'am. You can sign here for..."

"Not necessary. Thank you, I got it from you and it didn't get snatched. You can tell them that." I interrupted him immediately because I avoided anything that would make my name be heard.

"But...."

"Bye." I shut the door at him and walked back to my table with the food.

Mmm.
The aroma of the food hit me hard once I opened that plate.

"I have to finish up a few things before I come for that." I said to myself as I pushed the pack of food aside to concentrate.

I created a lot of anonymous accounts just to get information from the bloggers and media team. Some information was disclosed and some wasn't.

"Shit!" I hit the table at every failed attempt.

"Why don't you give me the fucking information I need??" I rubbed my hair backwards.

At this moment I got frustrated, I spent all my day crying and thinking of how to catch them. How to get my kids back...

"Am I ever going to get over this shit that I'm into?" That was a loud thought.

A rhetorical question. A stupid one, I am never backing down until I see my kids and Liam is down on his knees begging and after that I leave a bullet in his head.

I got pissed so many times while looking at the laptop in front of me. I needed to take a break from it.

"I can't get anything profitable." My eyes were aching.

I had finished my breakfast and lunch a long time ago and now I am hungry. I can't contend with hunger, I need to get something to eat.

Preparing food is not on my mind.

"So I still have to go out after all." I stared at my wardrobe and found just the perfect dress to wear.

"Shit, why are there so many humans outside?" I lowered my head to avoid making any eye contact.

"Sorry." I got someone by the shoulders.

I gave a heavy sigh of relief when I got to the restaurant without bringing attention to myself.

"What do you need ma'am?" The waiter didn't let me sit before she came with the menu.

"Guess, you must have been expecting me." I smiled and took the menu from her.

"I don't think...you know what? Just get me my usuals I don't want to try anything new." I clenched my hands and patiently waited for my food to arrive.

I watched the boys through the transparent glass play basketball. I admired them so much that I wished my son was here to do this.

"Ma'am?" I got tapped by the waiter.

"Ohh." I fluttered my lashes several times.

I got lost in my thoughts.

"Thank you. The bills." I paid in full so I leave immediately I am done.

The meal wasn't a great one but I enjoyed it anyway. I took as many as I could and left the restaurant.

Just when I was about to get up, Victor sent a text message.

"Alright it's time to go. I don't want him lurking around to find me." I grabbed my bag and got outside.

I didn't take my car with me because I wanted to take a walk to straighten my legs. Now I think I'm regretting because I just want to get home so quickly, I don't want to spend another second outside.

I took a deep breathe and walked beside the road with my head lowered.

I heard the boys over there bullying each other.

"Hey, watch your mouth dick. You ain't even got mom.. your mom's dead." One of them spoke out so loud that I could hear from where I stood.

I was heartbroken hearing this.

They all burst into laughter.

"Wait! That's not true.." Poor boy tried to defend himself.

I changed my direction and headed towards them. I stopped when I was halfway there .

"No, I don't want them to see me. This could involve the cops and I'm not ready for anything that was coming my way."

I acted like I forgot something and I got myself out of there. He will take his revenge sooner or later.

For now, I have to put myself first.
