Chapter 166 Luck
Chapter 166 Luck
In the first round, I got dealt the crappiest hand ever: a 2 and a 7 of different suits. Man, talk about bad luck! It was just plain awful.
Usually, with a hand like that, I'd fold right off the bat. But nope, I was stuck in the big blind spot, so I had to toss in some chips no matter how lousy my hand was.
I was sweating bullets, thinking I'd be the big loser this round. So, I decided that if others didn't go all-in, I'd reluctantly stick around with this garbage hand.
Maybe 'cause it was the first round, everyone was playing it safe. Each player just called, testing the waters, which surprisingly kept my sorry cards in the game.
The first three cards hit the table: a 2, a King, and a 10, all different suits. I had a measly pair of twos, nothing to brag about. I didn't dare to get fancy.
But just 'cause I was playing it cool didn't mean others were. Right on cue, Sidney took charge and bet half the pot.
The folks before me folded, and I thought, if I folded too, I'd be in the same boat as them, facing some embarrassing group forfeit. Since losing seemed inevitable, I nervously matched the bet.
The Todd duo also called, leaving just three of us in the mix.
I was on edge. I had the weakest pair at the table. I held my breath for the fourth card. If it wasn't a 2 or a 7, I'd have to bow out and take the L, not risking any more chips.
Then, Elise flipped a 2, giving me a glimmer of hope.
I glanced at Sidney, his poker face unreadable as he pushed half the pot into the middle again. This was my shot. I faked a moment of hesitation and called.
Todd seemed unsure, whispering something to Patricia.
"If you ain't got a good hand, don't bother playing. You ain't gonna beat me," Sidney teased, acting like he already had the winning hand.
Sophia pulled on my shirt, reminding me not to rush into things, clearly rattled by Sidney's words.
I peeked at my cards once more. Unless Sidney had a pair of 10s or Kings, my hand was looking pretty solid. Judging by Sidney's modest bets and Todd's calls, I figured they weren't holding anything too strong.
After Sidney's jab, Todd pondered for a sec and decided to match the bet, tossing more chips into the pot.
The last card was an 8, making five cards on the table of different suits, ruling out any straight or flush possibilities.
Just like before, unless they had a pair of 10s or Kings, my three 2s were the cream of the crop. Feeling a bit cocky, I slyly watched the other players' moves.
Sidney took his time and still bet half the pot. I figured he must have at least one King.
I could handle that bet, so I called once more.
"What kinda hand you got to keep calling?" Sidney tried to pry.
"We all got Kings. Who's scared of who?" I bluffed, trying to read Sidney's reaction. He seemed a bit unsure, hinting my hunch might be right.
Todd, seeing both Sidney and me still in the game, shook his head and folded.
With Todd out, I felt more sure of myself. I kicked myself for not betting more. It was just me and Sidney left, so it was time to lay our cards on the table.
Sidney had a pair of Kings with an Ace on the board, while I had three 2s with the community cards.
"You rode that 2 and 7 all the way!" Sidney looked a bit deflated.
"I took a risk, and it paid off!" I couldn't help but show my satisfaction.
Having an Ace and a King was a strong hand. Luck was on my side this time; otherwise, Sidney would've had a real shot at winning.
In the end, I emerged victorious. Sophia cheered happily as I scooped up the winnings. Meanwhile, Sidney let out a sigh and poured himself a drink, clinking glasses with Elise as they both downed their drinks.
"Performance! Performance! Performance!" Nora led the cheers, with the other ladies joining in, eager for some fun.
"Tell us, what dare do you want to see?" Sidney threw down the challenge.
"How about making Elise eat a banana!" Nora suggested, earning a playful jab from the dealer, Elise.
"Quick, strip down!" Someone else chimed in, riling up the crowd.
Sidney wasted no time in whipping off his shirt, revealing his toned physique, which drew giggles and admiring glances from the women present.
It was obvious Sidney had the ladies' attention.
Elise, though, wasn't so quick to follow suit, reluctant to strip down to her lace lingerie in front of everyone.
Her bright yellow lingerie set against her fair skin was quite the sight. Elise seemed a bit bashful under the men's gaze, but her coy demeanor only added to her charm.
Her breasts were modest yet enticing, with two small ribbons below her bra, igniting imaginations.
"Looks like we're in luck today. A sexy dealer dealing for us," Joshua quipped, sparking laughter all around.
As I chuckled, Sophia playfully pinched my thigh, causing me to flinch and tear my gaze away from the captivating yellow bra.
"Go for it, honey! Show Nora and Kenna how it's done later!" Elise egged Sidney on.
"Don't worry! I'll make sure they behave themselves," Sidney replied earnestly, feeling a bit left out.
"Spill it, big winner," Sidney then turned to me.
I wasn't exactly a pro at this kind of game, and I didn't want to come off too strong right out of the gate. Once everyone loosened up, things would get more fun. I just wanted to keep the mood chill and the night rolling.
With that in mind, I chimed in, "How about a position Elise can't get enough of!"
"Awesome! We're all in!" Nora rallied the group, and everyone seemed excited for the show, clapping and laughing along.
Sidney gave Elise a helpless look, and she reluctantly set the cards aside, taking Sidney's hand and leading him to the couch.
The sight of that vibrant yellow lingerie stirred something inside me.
Elise, in her lingerie and flip-flops, moved with the grace of a model.
Her figure was striking, slim yet shapely, with taut skin. Her hips swayed with each step, mesmerizing everyone.
I quickly pushed any inappropriate thoughts aside. It was just the start, and I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of everyone.
As the suggestive music played, curiosity buzzed about the favorite intimate positions of Sidney and Elise.
Sidney sat bare-chested on the couch, while Elise, a bit hesitant, positioned herself, straddling Sidney's thigh.
"So, Elise is a fan of the woman-on-top position!"
"Get ready, fellas!"
"Scream! Let's hear those moans!"
Laughter and teasing filled the room.
Elise began to move seductively to the music, and Sidney followed suit, mimicking real intimate gestures, swaying his hips.
Elise's sultry voice and performance had every guy at the table hooked.
I couldn't help but imagine the joy one would feel with Elise in that position. But with Sophia by my side, I kept those thoughts to myself, not wanting to give too much away.
The crowd demanded more passion and intensity, and after a minute, they erupted into enthusiastic applause, reluctantly returning to the poker table.
The vibe was electric, setting the stage for a wild poker showdown ahead.
