Chapter 77 - The Beta's Fate

Farrah woke up and sighed. She was warm in Wes’ arms. His pineapple and warm caramel scent made Jade hum in her head.

He is so delicious.

He is Jade. We are so lucky to have him as our mate.

I can’t believe he knew this whole time. You are not mad?

No. It had to have been hard for him. He is so strong to be able to control himself as he has.

I could not imagine. The moment I scented him I wanted to be mounted by him.

Jade!

Farraaahhhh.

Farrah giggled at her wolf’s antics.

“What’s so funny, mate?” Wes asked.

“Jade, she’s being funny.”

“She’s very beautiful,” he said.

She heard her wolf moan in delight and felt her preen in her head.

“You just made her day.”

“I’m so glad. Let’s get your sister and go down to breakfast. The Omega’s will be moving all your things in here today. Remember this is your room now.”

“Okay.” She leaned up and kissed him and then hopped out of bed. He growled and went to snatch her back to him, but she skipped out of his range and laughed as he chased her around the room.

“I love the chase, baby. When I catch you, you’re going to be sorry.”

“Oh, really,” she said, dashing around a chair.

He jumped over it, and she squealed and laughed as he swept her up into his arms and then laid her on a lounging couch. He tickled her mercilessly.

“Okay Wes! You win!” She screamed.

He chuckled and leaned over her.

“Remember I am superior, you can never win against me.”

Her eyes narrowed, she reached between them and grabbed his very hard d*ck and stroked him. He groaned and put his forehead against hers. She picked up her pace, jerking him from base to tip and rubbing her thumb over his sensitive head. His hips started thrusting.

“Who’s in charge?” she asked.

“Mate,” he growled in warning.

“Tell me, Wes. Who is more superior?”

He was panting, his eyes rolling in the back of his head. And then she stopped. His eyes snapped to hers, and she smiled. He snarled and lifted her. He sat on the couch and impaled her.

“Oh Goddess!” She shouted.

“Ride me, baby.”

She moved her hips, circling them and then moving up and down. She grabbed him by his face and slammed her mouth to his. Her tongue plunged into his mouth. She kissed down his jaw and went to her mark. She licked it, and he moaned loudly in her ear.

“Tell me Wes,” she whispered, and then latched on to her mark.

“YOU! He roared, grabbing her hips and moving her as he slammed her down on him over and over until she burst with her orgasm.

When she came down from her high, she licked the mark she made the night before and smiled as he shuddered.

She sat up and looked at him with a mischievous smile.

“You, my love, are going to be the death of me, you little minx.”

“Just remember, my love. I’m a fast learner and I like to practice with the new knowledge I have garnered. You just wait, you’re going to be caught up in my little web of fun.”

“Goddess, I love you.”

“I love you too, Wes. Now we have to shower again and go get Dawny.”

A half an hour later they walked into the girls' room. Dawn was sitting on the window seat staring out the window. She was dressed in her training gear. Her face was flushed, and her eyes were glazed.

“Dawn, what’s the matter?” Farrah asked.

“I was talking to Eli downstairs about to go to breakfast when I felt you. I had to run up here and wait until you were done. Then I just thought I would wait here until I could calm down.

Farrah erupted into giggles, but Wes growled.

“Sorry Angel. I hadn’t realized you could feel me. But I should have known since we are marked.”

“Oh, no Wes, I felt Farrah. We can feel each other’s feelings.”

His eyes widened.

“We are going to go to the hospital and see if there is something a doctor can give us to block us from each other’s arousals. Or maybe a light witch can help us,” Farrah said.

“I will talk to my mother too. Maybe she can talk to Abby and see if her mates have similar problems.”

“That’s a great idea. Abby’s mates are identical too,” Farrah said.

“Maybe we can go visit the triplets in Texas?” Dawn asked.

“Absolutely not. You are mated now, you will not be visiting other males,” Wes said.

“They are like cousins,” Farrah said.

“Like cousins and actual cousins are two very different things,” Wes said.

“Does that mean we can’t visit Jaxon either?”

Wes snarled at the mention of his archnemesis.

“You know not to mention his name around me,” Wes pouted. He even crossed his arms over his massive chest. Dawn and Farrah smiled at each other. They knew Wes didn’t really hate Jaxon. They got along just fine. But Jaxon liked to tease Wes by flirting with Dawn and Farrah blatantly in front of him, just to push his buttons. The girls found it hilarious.

“He’s coming for Eli’s birthday you know,” Farrah singsonged.

Wes groaned. “Why, he isn’t even family.”

“He is our father’s and mother’s nephew.”

“Not really.”

Both the girls gasped. He felt like an a*s.

“Sorry.”

“You darn well know Aunt Stella and our father are basically siblings. Just because they aren't related by blood, they have chosen each other as family,” Dawn said.

“I know, I know. It’s just he knows how to get under my skin when it comes to you two.”

“It’s not like we encourage it. It’s just funny,” Farrah said.

“Enough, I’ll deal with it when he gets here. You’re officially mine now, there is nothing he can do to take you away from me.”

“He couldn’t even if he wanted to. Even if we weren’t fated mates, Wes. Dawn and I would always have chosen you. We have loved you for ages.”

He smiled and opened his arms. Both girls walked into them, and he enclosed his arms around them. He inhaled their scents to calm his beast.

“Let’s go down and have a light breakfast before training.”

Three hours later after training was done. The girls left to train with their mother. They were going to practice using their gifts.

Wes went to his brother’s office. He knocked on the door and entered when commanded.

“Hello, baby brother,” Maxon said.

“Maxon. Father said you wanted to talk to me.”

“Yes. How do you find mated life? Happy now that you finally got to claim them?”

Wes grinned ear to ear. “Extremely.”

“I am so happy for you, Wes. I couldn’t imagine what you have been through.”

“It wasn’t easy, but the distraction of training and the missions I went on helped.”

Maxon nodded.

“Tonight we are having a pack banquet to announce Farrah and Dawns' new positions in the pack. They are going to be very valuable.”

Wes nodded, pride surging through him. His mates were wonderful.

“Let’s get down to business. I know you have only been home for a couple of days, but life doesn’t stop just because you are home and just mated. There has been disturbing news coming from all over the United States and other realms. Although, there have been some humans that know about us because some are mated to us and other species, the majority of them aren’t knowledgeable. With that being said, we have found out that there is a group of scientists that know about our species and other species. The rumor is there was a wolf shifter and a fairy who were mated to two humans. One of these humans was a scientist. Since humans don’t necessarily bond right away like the rest of us do, he basically rejected her by kidnapping her and the fairy who was mated to his brother. The brother was not happy and made a fuss with the human authorities. But they dismissed him as being crazy. There was no investigation. Because of this, the whole situation snowballed. The scientists hired men and now some of our species' females and other species' females are being tracked and kidnapped. One of the men he hired basically went rogue and started selling some of the kidnapped victims on the black market and that’s how the supernatural realm found out. Someone was monitoring the black market and the report was sent to me. So now, we have two factions basically, somehow hunting supernatural female beings and kidnapping them, either to be experimented on, or for nefarious purposes on the black market.

We need to put together an Elite Warrior team to track them down and rescue the females. You will go to other packs to choose their best warriors, and also meet with other Elite Warriors from the other realms to put together a working team. You will be in charge of all of them, but I want you to choose two others from the other realms to stand by you. You may take Dawn and Farrah with you to gather your team, but when you go out on your rescue missions, they will stay here.”

Wes took a deep breath. He had really hoped to rest up for a while before he started doing missions for his brother, but his brother was right. Life went on. Wes nodded.

“When do you want me to leave?”

“After Eli’s birthday on Saturday. You, the girls, and whomever you choose to be a part of your Elite team from here, will leave the day after. You have the rest of the week to pick your team from our ranks.”

“Two will be Josh and Andrew. They have requested to be the girls' personal guards. They won’t go on the missions with me because their job will be to stay with the girls. The rest I will assess. I won’t let you down.”

“I know you won’t, Brother. I’m sorry, I have to send you so soon after claiming your mates.”

“It’s my job, Brother. It’s what I have been training to do for the last four years. I am sure King Bousse told you about my gifts?”

“Yes, you lucky b*stard. You really are a juggernaut. If I wasn’t king with my own gifts, I’d be jealous.”

Wes chuckled. Maxon had the gift of strength just as Wes did, just not in the same capacity. Wes’ strength was astronomical. Maxon’s other gift was the gift of deception detection. He can tell the moment someone lies. It was a good gift to have as King.

“I have an idea who I want with me. I will go talk to them now. Inform them of our mission and to give them time to say goodbye to their families and to pack for the trips.”

“Excellent. Thank you, Wes.”

“I am at your service, My King,” Wes said, with a bow.

Maxon scoffed and chuckled and then waved him off.
