Chapter 197 Miss Abigail Got Married
After the ceremony, Mr Johnson volunteered to send Miss Abigail home. When they arrived, Miss Abigail asked Mr Johnson to come inside her house for tea. Mr Johnson didn't refuse. Then he followed her inside. Miss Abigail went to the kitchen to make tea. A few minutes later, she came back with a tea on a tray and two cups. She poured tea for him, and then she sat down opposite him. Mr Johnson thanked her and said, "Miss Abigail, there is something I want to tell you. I fell in love with you when we were at Victoria's baby shower but I couldn't say anything because I was still married. Also, I respect you so much. I didn't want to tarnish your reputation. I love you so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Miss Abigail's heart was beating uncontrollably against her chest. She couldn't believe her ears. Was she dreaming?
Miss Abigail was not a pretentious person. She looked at Mr Johnson shyly and replied, "Mr Johnson, to be honest with you, I fell in love with you the first time I saw you too." Mr Johnson was so happy; he hugged Miss Abigail and kissed her on top of her head, "thank you for trusting me with your heart. Do you mind going with me to register for our marriage tomorrow morning? Do you still have parents? I need to visit them for the betrothal gifts." Miss Abigail smiled sweetly at him and replied, "My parents passed away a long time ago. I don't have any siblings. I took Timothy as my brother. I will go with you to register our marriage." Johnson hugged her and promised to fetch her at 8 am. Then he bade her goodbye and left. Abigail was so happy; she took her phone and called Timothy.
"Hello Timothy, I want to share some good news with you. Mr Johnson proposed to me and I said yes. Tomorrow morning we are going to register our marriage." Timothy was happy for her and replied, "Congratulations my dearest Abigail, Emmanuel is a good man. I wish you all the best." Then they hung up. She couldn't sleep, she was pinching herself; pain reminded her that she was not dreaming. She knelt on the floor and thanked the Lord for fulfilling the desires of her heart. Also, she prayed for her future husband, Mr Johnson and James. She asked the Lord for protection against Mr Johnson's ex-wife."
Mr Johnson went to his son's apartment to tell him good news. He forgot to bring his keys. He knocked on the door; James was surprised to see his father and said, "Hello Dad, how was the dedication ceremony?" His father smiled and replied, "It was beautiful Son and the church is stunning." He sat on the sofa. James went to the kitchen and came back with a bottle of water. He sat on the sofa opposite his father and waited for his father to say something. His father opened the bottle of water and said, "Son, I met someone I love and I want to marry her. What do you think?" James hugged his father and replied, "Congratulations Dad, I hope this lady is a good woman. Do I know this lady?" His father told him about Miss Abigail. James was impressed; he wished his father all the best. His father told him that they would be registering their marriage tomorrow morning. Mr Johnson didn't go back to the hotel he spent the night at his son's apartment. He hadn't moved to his new mansion yet. It was his heart's desire to move with his new wife. Butler Ed resigned after Mr Johnson divorced his wife. Mr Johnson hired him and asked him to stay at the mansion. He sent a text message to Miss Abigail telling her that he had arrived safely and that he loved her so much. Miss Abigail was sent a text message indicating that she loved him more. Mr Johnson was grinning from ear to ear, the Lord is good.
Mr Johnson woke up early in the morning; he took a shower and he wore an olive green suit. He called Butler Ed and told him about his new wife. Then he asked him to prepare food for them. Butler Ed was over the moon when he heard good news from his boss. When James saw his father he whistled and said, "Wow Dad, you look dashing. You don't have to come to work today, I will hold the forte." Mr Johnson hugged his son and thanked him for his support, then he left without eating breakfast. He was so nervous but he was anxious to see his new bride. He called the Home Affairs manager and asked him to arrange a private room to register their marriage. The manager told him to call him when they arrived at Home Affairs. When he arrived, Miss Abigail was already dressed; she was wearing a long cream dress. Mr Johnson hugged her tightly and said, "You are beautiful Mrs Johnson." Miss Abigail giggled and replied, "You are so handsome my husband. Did you eat breakfast?" Mr Johnson shook his head and replied, "I was so nervous I couldn't eat." Miss Abigail wore an apron and quickly made breakfast. After a few minutes, breakfast was ready. They ate, and then they left.
When they arrived at Home Affairs, Mr Johnson contacted his friend. He came and fetched them and led them to his office. He gave them the forms to complete. A few minutes later, they walked out of the Home Affairs holding each other's hands, smiling sweetly at each other. Mr Johnson told his new wife that he would take her to their new mansion. They drove to their new mansion. Butler Ed opened the door for them and greeted them with respect. Mr Johnson introduced his wife to Butler Ed then picked his wife up and went to their bedroom. He took his wife in his arms and said, "Thank you my love for being my wife. I promise to love you forever." Mrs Johnson smiled brightly at her husband and said, "Thank you for loving me, my husband. I promise to be a good wife to you." Mr Johnson kissed her for a long time, then he said, "Let's take a nap; Butler Ed will notify us when lunch is ready." They were so tired because last night they were tossing and turning because of nerves. What would happen when Mrs Rosemary found out about her ex-husband's marriage?
