More Uncovered Truths
Moments later, the doors banged open.

Liam and the warriors returned—dragging Menar, bound and looking nothing like the fierce head warrior she once was. Her hair was matted, her face bruised, and her body so thin she looked like a shadow.

Behind her… another warrior entered, shoving forward a woman who looked twice her age—skin sallow, hair greyed prematurely, clothes stiff with dirt. Her hands shook violently.

Gasps echoed through the hall.

Elina staggered back, a hand flying to her mouth. “That’s… Amelia…” she whispered, voice cracking. “What is she doing here?” Her vision blurred. She felt like fainting.

Theo’s reaction was different. His eyes snapped to Menar—and recognition hit him like a hammer. Menar… the woman who had once fought Rina before her Luna ceremony.
He hadn’t seen her in years.

A cold chill crawled over his spine.

Why is she here? What does this have to do with Mina… or my family?

He dared glance at Damian, and froze.

Damian was staring straight at him. And Grinning..A slow, knowing, terrifying grin.

Theo looked away immediately, heart thundering. His palms began to sweat.

Damian finally spoke up. His presence alone silenced every whisper.

“I know you are all confused,” he began, his tone calm… too calm..“These two”—he extended a finger toward Menar and Amelia—“are the final pieces of an investigation I started years ago.”

A suffocating tension fell over the crowd.

Damian’s eyes sharpened..“Menar,” he ordered, “introduce yourself. And tell everyone why you are standing here.”

Menar’s legs shook. She tried speaking, but only a rasp came out..Her body bore the marks of months in a dungeon—whip scars, burns, bruises. She didn’t even remember how she’d been captured. She only recalled someone approaching her months ago for rare herbs… then nothing but darkness and pain.

Liam nudged her forward.

Menar swallowed hard, her voice trembling.
“I… I am Menar… former head warrior of Dam-Nightshade Pack.” Silence.

She clutched her torn clothes and continued, each word costing her pain.

“A few… years ago… The deceased Samantha who was the personal maid of the dead Luna Rina Dam-Nightshade pack—approached me with a plan.”
Her lips quivered. “She wanted me to help… replace Luna Rina’s chikd thw momentit was born.” Gasps rent the hall, while Theo’s head jerked up.

Menar continued, tears streaking her dirty cheeks.“She offered power… promised positions when she becomes the Luna … I was foolish. I agreed. On the night the Luna gave birth… I switched the child… I gave her real child to a merchant…”

Elina covered her mouth, tears running down her face. How could someone be this cruel to a child? She wonder silently.

Menar’s voice broke. “The merchant... He… he kept demanding more money… so I hired someone to kill him. And the child was taken away. I… I don’t know where.”

Theo’s expression went from pale to blood-red. His breath hitched—then snapped.

With a roar that shook the hall, he launched himself forward. “WHERE IS MY CHILD?!”

He grabbed Menar by the throat, lifting her off her feet. Menar clawed desperately at his hands as her eyes rolled back.

“You witch! Give me my child!” Theo screamed, voice raw with years of grief and rage. “Where is my baby?!”

Menar’s face darkened, her feet kicking weakly.

“LET HER GO!” Liam shouted as he rushed in. He seized Theo’s arm, forcing it back. Another warrior grabbed Theo’s waist. Together, they pried his hands away from Menar’s throat just as her body went limp.

Theo collapsed to his knees, shaking violently. “MY CHILD…” he cried, voice breaking apart.

Menar fell to the floor, coughing, and choking, barely clinging to consciousness.

The hall remained frozen—no one dared breathe.

And Damian….Damian simply watched.

Like he’d been waiting for this moment for years.

Elina’s breath came shallow as she stared at Theo—broken, shaking, refusing to rise from the ground.
He kept mumbling, voice trembling with agony:

“My child… my baby… my little one… where are you…" The pain in his voice dug straight into her heart.

She felt it..A sudden, powerful ache... like her soul recognized his suffering.
She had known abandonment. Loss. Loneliness. Pain that no words could soften.

Something inside her stirred, pulling her toward him. I want to hold him… comfort him… Why does his pain feel like mine?

Before she could make sense of the strange emotion, Damian lifted a hand.

“Now, Amelia,” he commanded coldly. “Speak.”

The older woman trembled violently.
She looked nothing like the proud, calculating woman Elina had grown up with.
Her hair was thin and grey, her eyes sunken… and when she opened her mouth—

Elina’s blood ran cold. Her voice was weak, cracked, almost unrecognizable.

“I… I am Amelia…” she stammered. “Years ago… when I could not conceive a child… a merchant approached me. He offered me a baby girl… for adoption.”

Elina’s heart stopped. Theo’s head snapped up again.

Amelia continued, tears dripping onto the floor. “My husband approved it. We raised her… until… until she ran away years ago. I only wanted to teach her a lesson by locking her out of the house. I never thought she would leave.” She sobbed harder. “I only wanted her to behave… I never wanted her gone…” A hush fell.

Damian’s expression froze over. “Don’t cry in my presence,” he said in a cold, lethal tone.

Amelia flinched so hard she almost fell.
She swallowed the rest of her sobs instantly—years of punishment had carved obedience deep into her bones.

Elina stared at her… and a bitter, humorless laugh escaped her lips. She still lies so easily… even after everything.

Under her breath she muttered, “Unbelievable.”

Then her anger snapped. She stepped forward, her voice ringing through the hall.

“Pardon my manners, Father,” she said with a bow. “But Amelia… don’t you recognize this face?”

She lifted her chin, letting the light hit her features, the same face Amelia used to twist in disgust whenever she punished her.

Amelia looked at her … confused at first … squinting.

Then realization hit. Her entire body jerked, her face contorted in horror.

Her trembling hand shot out, pointing at Elina like she had seen a ghost rise from the grave. “Y-Y-YOU!!!” Amelia screamed, stumbling backward. “NO… NO… IT CAN’T BE—ELINA?!” Gasps filled the hall.

Elina smirked, tilting her head as if enjoying the woman’s fear.

Damian’s grin widened—dark, satisfied, almost predatory.

Theo’s eyes darted between Elina and Amelia, shock and confusion warring inside him.

He whispered under his breath, voice trembling, “…the child… the abandoned child…” His gaze slowly lifted to Elina

As if seeing her for the first time.

"No... no...it's can be! It better don't be..!" Mina pale face fix on Elina.
