Mina’s Downfall

Mina’s Downfall
Elina’s fingers tightened around the necklace as she studied Mina’s face.
There was something in Mina’s eyes—something sharp, venomous, almost unhinged.

“Ma'am … humm.. Luna.... are you okay?” Elina asked softly, cautiously.

Instead of answering, Mina’s hand whipped through the air—

SLAP!

Elina gasped as her head snapped to the side, her cheek burning.

“W-What—?”

“You!” Mina spat. “A little girl like you—learning to be a seductress?”

Elina blinked in stunned confusion. “Seductress? What are you talking about? Who am I trying to seduce?”

Before Mina could twist another accusation, rapid footsteps echoed from the entrance.

Damon ran into the arena, breath heavy from sprinting. He paused when he saw Mina… and immediately recognized her.

“Mate of Theo,” he muttered under his breath. “I remember them arriving late.”

He started toward them, intending to ask what was wrong—until his eyes landed on the bright red handprint blooming across Elina’s cheek.

His entire expression slowly changed. The playful Damon was gone. Something darker, qnd colder replaced him.

“Elina,” he said, voice low, eyes narrowing, “what happened to your face?”

Elina opened her mouth—but Mina cut in sharply.

“I did it.” Mina announced proudly. “Because she offended me. This… this child was trying to seduce my husband!”

Damon’s pupils constricted. "You said what.... ?" A wave of murderous energy rolled off him, thick and suffocating.

Elina froze, terrified of what might happen next.

Mina stiffened, suddenly realizing she might have pushed too far. "I saw... her trying to seduce my husband"

Damon stepped closer slowly, deliberately.

His aura cracked the air like lightning.

Then— SLAP! SLAP!

Two loud, merciless strikes.

Mina stumbled back, eyes wide with disbelief. She touched her cheek as if she couldn’t comprehend what had just happened.

“How dare you,” Damon growled, voice shaking with fury. “How dare you put your filthy hands on my sister —then accuse her of something she didn’t do?”

Elina hurried to grab Damon’s arm. “Damon… stop, please.”

But Damon was no longer calm." Do you think where one is a whire like you?"

Mina, shaking, finally found her voice. “H-How dare you raise your filthy hands on me—a Luna— and call me a whore...”

SLAP!

This one sent her crashing to the ground. And she cried out, loud and dramatic.

The echo of the blow reverberated across the empty arena.

Warriors stationed nearby heard the commotion and rushed forward.

Before anyone could even ask what happened, a deep, blood-chilling growl vibrated through the air.

They all turned sharply to see Damon’s body contorting, bones shifting, fur bursting through skin.

He was shifting. And it rather too early. But the problem was, it's too violently and too fast.

His wolf form exploded out—massive, terrifying, a breathtaking mix of silver and black fur that shimmered in the fading light.

Shifting before the scheduled coming-of-age was rare… unless triggered by something extreme. Like unrestrained rage.

“Goddess…” one warrior whispered. “His aura… it’s suffocating.”

The warriors immediately dared to form a semi-circle around him, trying to create a barrier without provoking him further.

Meanwhile, Mina continued her dramatic wailing on the ground but still no one payed attention to her.

Another roar shook the earth.

People in the banquet hall froze—then rushed outside in panic. Damian, Lucain, Liam, guests, everyone spilled into the training grounds.

The moment Mina saw her Theo and Lambert, she ran and clung to Theo, crying louder than before. “Theo! Theo! He attacked me! This brute of a young Alpha hit me!”

"You dare speak ill of my son in my presence?" Damian said without a single glances tared at her.

"But... alpha... " She was beginning to stutter

"Silence Woman! Don't dare me!" Damian voice went low. Still he didn't look at her. Everyone glare at her.

Alpha.. please... " Theo's quick apologize got stuck in his throat when Damian turned slightly with a cold stare.

Theo’s face went pale, he turned to stare at Mina for while then face the other direction. Within him, ke knew—she had finally destroyed their future.

His doom was coming.

Damian’s gaze snapped to the raging wolf—his son—and his expression hardened.

“Damon!” he commanded, voice sharp, drenched in Alpha dominance.
“Stay. Still.”

The Alpha’s command ripped through the air like steel.

The enormous silver-black wolf staggered, fighting the command—then slowly, slowly began to still. His growls lowered, becoming rough breaths. The fury draining from his eyes.

Surrounded by warriors shielding him, Damon finally shifted back into his human form—naked, exhausted, trembling slightly from the forced transformation. Someone quickly draped a cloth over him.

Damian looked at him—not with anger, but with the calm authority only a true, powerful Alpha possessed.

“Go,” Damian ordered. “Clean yourself. Dress properly. Then report to the meeting hall. Immediately.”

Damon bowed his head, jaw tight, still trying to breathe evenly.

“Yes, Father.”

He walked away, escorted by warriors.

The arena remained thick with tension, Mina still sniffingback heer sobs, while Theo stand stiff with dread.

The festive atmosphere of the banquet hall was gone.

The tables decorated with gold fruits, the lanterns glowing softly, the musicians who had been warming up— all of it now drowned beneath the tension that followed everyone back inside.

The hall felt colder and Quieter.

Every warrior, elder, and guest filed into their seats with whispers trailing behind them. Mina and Theo arrived last.

Mina clung to Theo’s arm, pretending to be weak, trembling, fragile.
But her eyes… her eyes kept darting around the hall, calculating, fearful yet prideful.

Theo’s face was gray. He didn’t even look at her at anymore.

He was praying—praying to any deity who could hear that the consequences would be mild. He knew better.

The heavy doors opened and Damon walked in.

Now dressed properly in a dark ceremonial tunic, hair still slightly damp from a hurried wash, but his presence—the aura around him—felt sharper than ever.

The entire hall went deadly silent.

He walked past the rows of spectators and stopped beside Damian’s throne.
He bowed his head respectfully.

“Father. I have returned as ordered.”

Damian studied him for a moment. Then slowly nodded. “Good.”

He turned to the room. His voice was calm, steady, but carried an undercurrent of danger strong enough to silence even the children in the hall.

“I would like to hear what happened,” Damian announced. “From all sides involved.”

Everyone swallowed. Elina Speaks First

Elina nervously stepped forward. Damon’s presence beside her made her feel both safe and strangely shy. She kept her hands clasped tightly, her fingers still trembling slightly.

“I… I went back to the arena because I lost the necklace you gifted me,” she began softly. “I thought it fell during the combat test.”

Damian nodded. “I remember giving you that necklace.”

Elina smiled faintly. “I found it in the obstacle course area. When I was returning to the hall… Luna Mina appeared.”

She glanced briefly at Mina—who smirked like a viper—and then looked away.

“She slapped me,” Elina said quietly. “I asked her why, but she said I was trying to seduce her husband. I didn’t even know who he was, or see her husband near the arena.”

Whispers of insults rippled through the hall.

Damian raised a hand and the room silenced instantly. But Mina Interrupts

She burst forward dramatically. “She’s lying! She thinks her pretty face can fool everyone!”

Theo winced at her voice, but didn’t stop her. Of What use is it?

Mina pointed at Elina sharply. “She’s been trying to get close to my mate evwr since we arrived! Always smiling at him—always looking at him duringthe competition! Today I caught her alone at the arena, holding her necklace and pretending to be innocent and probably waiting for him!”

Damon’s jaw clenched so hard a vein appeared in his temple.

Lucain whispered, “Someone needs to drag this woman out by the hair.”

Several elders nodded in agreement.

"Yeah! She is either crazy or has completely gone crazy"

"How dare she! Theo found a crazy girl for a mate"

Damian lifted his hand again—not to silence Mina, but to stop Damon from exploding.

“Continue, Elina,” he said calmly.

“I never tried to seduce anyone. I just wanted to find what was mine. She slapped me again. I didn’t hit her back. I just wanted to leave.”

She breathed out shakily. “Then my brother arrived.”

Damon stepped closer, giving her silent assurance.

“I didn’t offend her,” Elina said firmly. My brother only defended me from false… accusations.” Her voice trembled at the memory.

Mina scoffed loudly. Theo shut his eyes, overwhelmed with shame, while Lambert just remained mute.

"Damon, is that true?" Damian asked and he finally spoke.

“When I saw Elina’s cheek and heard the accusation, I reacted.” He didn’t defend himself, or try to hide what he did.

Damian’s eyebrow lifted. “Reacted is a mild word, son.”

Damon inhaled deeply. “Yes. I hit her. Because she hit Elina first and then slandered her. And I will not apologize for defending someone under my protection.”

The murmurs in the room grew stronger.
everyone nodded in respect.

Mina’s face went red, but she kept quiet.

Damian turned his gaze to Theo. “What do you have to say?”

Theo’s hands shook slightly. He stepped forward. “Alpha… Mina… she…” He swallowed hard. “She tends to… react too strongly sometimes. She is jealous and easily angered. I have told her many times to calm herself but… she doesn’t listen to me.”

Mina gasped. “YOU—!”

Theo stepped back, unable to look at anyone. “For what happened today… I apologize. Deeply.” His voice cracked in shame and fear.

"You are such a coward! I should've expected much from a failure like you!" Mian yelled at him and loud gasps echoed through the hall.

"She openly insults her mate?"

"What a open show of shame!"

"Moon Goddess sales us from wretched and evil she-wolves as a mate"

"She is such a disgrace! If i was Theo, i woulddivorceher right now"

No one bother to whimpers their disgust anymore.

Lambert wished the ground could swallow him from this embarrassment. He wonder what has come over his brilliant mother.

Damian leaned back, fingers steepled, analyzing every detail.

His voice finally broke the silence “I have heard enough.”

A wave of tension swept through the hall as everyone held their breath.

Theo’s legs nearly gave out. Damon’s eyes darkened, waiting.

Damian rose from his seat—his presence filling the room like a tempest.

“Mina.” His voice was calm—but terrifyingly calm. “Step forward.”

The woman swallowed hard and slowly stepped out from behind Theo. Something about this Alpha’s make her trembling without intending to.

"Before I decide on how to kill you myself, there is a matter that needs to be settled... Lucain, go and bring that maid..."
