Losing Myself to Him.

Losing Myself to Him.
Alice’s POV

Tiberio’s lips tore from mine, only to trail lower—across my chin, down the column of my throat. His breath was hot and hungry as he latched onto my neck, teeth grazing skin before sinking in.

I gasped, my head tipping back against the wall with a moan I couldn’t swallow. A moan that betrayed me.

For one wild moment, I forgot he was the enemy.

His palm roamed boldly across my body, sliding over my curves like he had every right to. When it found my breast, his thumb brushed my nipple through the fabric and I inhaled sharply, my knees nearly buckling.

God, it had been so long. So long since anyone had touched me. And now, every nerve in my body lit up under him.

“Tiberio…” I moaned softly—too softly. The sound made him groan, deep in his throat.

“I’ll make sure my name is the only one your mouth remembers,” he growled against my skin, his voice dark and feral.

My entire body pulsed with heat. My thighs clenched, my clit throbbed with desperate want.

His touch awakened something primal in me, something wild, and hungry.

His hand gripped my hip tighter, grinding his hardness against me through layers of clothes. The pressure made my head spin.

I wanted more. I hated that I wanted more.

But my brain—what was left of my sanity—called for control.

This was wrong. I thought.

I fought against him, my wrists straining under his iron grip, but he was unyielding, his body a wall of muscle pressing me into the cold office wall. Part of me still wanted to melt into him, to let this dark pleasure consume me, but my dignity clung to the edge, refusing to let me become his toy.

Gathering the last ounce of my will, I shoved against his chest, breaking the kiss, my glare fierce despite the trembling ache his touch left behind.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” I hissed, my voice shaking. “I’m not one of your whores, Tiberio. You don’t get to use me like some toy whenever your dick gets hard.”

He didn’t flinch. He only smirked—wicked, confident, and entirely infuriating.

“Not my slut, you say?” His brow arched as he took a step closer. “Yet here you are, moaning, begging for more.”

He was inches away again, his body a heatwave that stole my breath.

I hated how my body responded to him—my nipples tight beneath my shirt, my core throbbing with shameful need.

He trailed his fingers up my inner thigh, and I stiffened, breath catching in my throat.

“I’ll paint you in every shade of Tiberio, Alice,” he whispered darkly, pressing his hips to mine. “And I’ll remind you—again and again—that you belong to me.”

His lips hovered over mine, his breath hot and intoxicating. I could barely think.

My heart pounded in my ears. I wanted to scream, to kiss him, to run. I didn’t know which instinct would win.

“I’m not your property,” I said through gritted teeth. “I can talk to whoever I want—including your brother.”

His eyes flared with something vicious. He chuckled low, the sound rumbling through his chest like distant thunder.

“Don’t start a game you can’t win,” he whispered, pulling back slightly, his gaze never wavering.

“Before I punish you for whatever passed between you and Silas…” he began, but I opened my mouth. Only to close it again when I saw the deadly glint in his eyes.

“Don’t aggravate my fury, Alice,” he warned, voice ice-cold. “No excuse will erase the fact that you disobeyed me.”

My pulse kicked into overdrive.

I didn’t have a chance to explain, he grabbed my wrist, his grip harsh, making me wince as he yanked me from the wall and shoved me into a chair, caging me with his body.

My lips parted, I was ready to snap at him, but in a flash, a gun was at my forehead, cold steel pressing against my skin.

A scream tore from my throat, my body jerking back, but his frame held me in place, unmovable.

“Ti…” I stammered, fear choking my voice, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst.

His expression had shifted, lust replaced by a monstrous coldness, the kind that could kill without remorse. The kind of look that reminded me of who he was.

“Why are you in Milan, Alice?” He demanded, his voice a low, menacing baritone that made my spine crawl. “This is the last time I’ll ask.”

I was speechless, my mind reeling. I’d answered this before—why was he pushing?

A snarky reply rose in my throat, but the gun’s weight silenced it. Tiberio wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger.

“I already told you,” I whispered, trembling. “I came to start my life—”

Wrong answer.

He hissed through his teeth and grabbed my throat, cutting off my air.

“You make your death worse every time you lie,” he roared, his face inches from mine. “Tell me, now!”

Tears pricked my eyes, my insides quaking.

“I’m not lying,” I choked out. “I swear I’m not—”

A cruel smile curled his lips, his knuckles grazed my cheek with a deceptive tenderness that chilled me.

“You’ll keep lying, then,” he whispered, his voice dripping with malice. “By the time I’m done, you’ll wish you’d never crossed me.”

Before I could process, the door burst open, and Reid stormed in, flanked by two burly men, their faces hard as stone.

Panic surged through me.

“What’s going on?” I stammered, my eyes darting to Tiberio’s cold ones.

He didn’t answer. Instead, he just stared.

A cold, furious god.

“Women like you remind me why I despise your kind,” he growled, his eyes burning with a pain I didn’t understand.

“All you do is lie, cheat, betray.”

His words stung. It wasn’t about me anymore. This was a wound from his past. But I couldn’t afford to be collateral damage.

Talking to Silas wasn’t betrayal—was it? We were enemies, not lovers.

“Tiberio, let me go!” I screamed, struggling against their hold

“I didn’t do anything,” I tried to reason. “You can be mad at Silas, but don’t punish me for it!”

I pleaded, desperation clawing at me.

“Besides, he was being kind, you didn’t expect me to ignore him!”

But Tiberio stood rigid, his face a mask of fury. He nodded to the men, who dragged me toward the door, their grip like iron, bruising my skin.

“Let me go!” I cried, tears streaming down my cheeks, my heart pounding with fear and questions.

Is this the end? Is he getting rid of me?

My head throbbed, scenarios flashing—death, torture, abandonment.

The pain of their grip was nothing compared to the terror of Tiberio’s wrath, and as they pulled me away, I realized I was more afraid of losing myself to him than of losing my life.
