I watched as Eva walked away and when she was out of sight, he rolled up the window.

I don't understand why she is so stubborn. Can't she just follow my arrangements for once in her life?

Ring Ring!

The sudden ringing of my phone caused me to feel more irritated and angry.

“Report!” I said calm after seeing that the call was from Marcus.

“Boss, I have taken care of everything and I have also kept the people you wanted to see in the villa” he reported calmly.

“Wait there, I will be over shortly” I said before hanging up.

“Boss, where to?” The driver asked while looking at me through the rearview mirror.

“The villa in the outskirts” I said and closed my eyes.

I knew this day would come, so I just fast-forwarded it a little. I hate when things aren't controlled by me, so this was the best way.

I slowly opened my eyes when the car stopped moving. The door was quickly opened from outside by Marcus.

“Boss” he greeted.

“Where did she go?” I asked him directly, as it was the most important thing at the moment.

“She went to the Valente organization base,” he replied without delay.

“Hmm”

“Boss, she will definitely find out about everything tonight. What if she….”.

“Her reaction should be the least of our worries now. She is my daughter and will obey me”

“Okay Boss”

I glanced at the entrance of the villa before slowly walking towards it.

“Welcome Boss!” The guards at the entrance greeted in unison as I walked past them.

I walked down the hallway and stopped in front of a door, where loud shouts were coming out.

“Let me out of here!”

“Do you know who I am?!”

“I am the head of the Ricci family, how dare you kidnap my family!”

“I am related to the Mayor!”

I frowned as I slowly pushed the door open, and as soon as he saw me, he stopped shouting.

“Benja…Mayor Monroe?” Michael asked as his eyes widened in shock.

“Michael, you even use my name to threaten people now, huh?”

“I…I.. didn't know they were your people. If not, I wouldn't have dared to threaten them” he said quickly with an apologetic expression.

His fawning and grovelling expression was extremely repulsive and I couldn't wait to get it over with.

“Mayor, we are your daughter's relatives, how can you have your people drag us here like common criminals?” Magnus asked with an angry tone, without bothering to understand his father's expression.

“Shut up!” Michael yelled at him angrily.

“But father, he …”

I watched in boredom as Michael tried to discipline the son he had spoiled. The young man couldn't understand what was happening and just held his cheek in shock.

“Why are you hitting him! Can't you just tell him calmly?” Madam Ricci yelled angrily while glaring at her husband.

“Enough with the drama!” I yelled angrily.

“You suddenly had us brought here, is something wrong?” Michael asked with an awkward smile.

His family stared at him as they were obviously kept in the dark about his transactions with me.

“When I left my daughter with you, we had a deal and I fulfilled my part of it. But you on the other hand, didn't even do a quarter of your part” I said calmly and sat down on the chair that was brought over by Marcus.

“What daughter?” Magnus asked me with a frown.

“Shut him up” I ordered Marcus as the young man's unnecessary interruptions were getting on my nerves.

“Ahhh…Father! Mother!”.

“Magnus! Please leave my husband”

“Leave my son!”

“Michael, do something! Your son is being beaten up in front of you!”

Madam Ricci kept shouting at Michael but he was too scared to even make a sound.

When I saw that his face had been punched swollen with blood streaming down his face, I raised my hand to signal Marcus to stop.

“Now, let's continue. What did you do when I left Bella in your care?” I asked Michael and he frowned.

“I took very good care of her, but you know she had my sister's character and wasn't easy to control. And she …”

“I told you to keep your eyes on her but you decided to send her abroad alone” I interrupted him angrily.

Everything is his fault! If he didn't send her abroad, she wouldn't have met Ethan Valente and become an assassin.

He ruined everything!

I clenched my fist in anger and looked at him again. I really wish to kill him immediately, but he has no right to a quick death.

“And your deal with Lucas Moretti? How you lured her and connived with him to deceive her, then plotted to kill her” I slowly said every single word and enjoyed the sight of his face turning pale with fear.

“That's a lie! I never made any deal with Lucas. Bella met him and fell in love with him, she was the one that chose to marry him” Michael denied vehemently.

“What is going on, Michael?” His wife finally asked when she noticed that things weren't right. Magnus and his wife also had their eyes on him.

“It seems like you really don't know about my deal with your husband. Well, I'm too busy to start telling you, so maybe he will tell you in hell” I said with a smile and Marcus instantly brought out his gun.

“Benjamin, you can't do this! Don't think I am so easy to silence” Michael yelled angrily and glared at me.

I smiled calmly and just watched him with a calm gaze.

“My assistant has all the evidence of my deals with you and how you killed my younger sister when she found out about your relationship with the underground black market, and how you became the Mayor, so you can trade without issues!” He yelled angrily and when he saw that I wasn't trying to stop him, he gave me a fearless expression.

“Are you done?” I asked him and he frowned.

“I really have all the evidence,” he repeated.

“They are with your assistant, so I have nothing to worry about,” I replied calmly.

The door immediately opened and a middle aged man walked in.

“Alejandro, what are you doing here?” Michael asked with widened eyes when he saw the man's face.

“Boss, here is all the evidence,” Alejandro said and handed me the file bag.

“You greedy bastard! How dare you betray me?!” Michael yelled with red eyes while staring at the file bag in my hands.

“He didn't betray you, because he was never your person in the first place” I said with a smile and Michael's face turned pale again.

“You placed your people around me? That explains everything” Michael said with a voice that was barely above a whisper now.

“Katherine, your mission is over now. You can take a month off” I said while looking at Michael's face.

His ‘daughter in-law’ quickly got up and walked towards me. Then she bowed her head with a smile.

“Boss, I hope I did a satisfactory job?”
