"I don't know how she will feel when she finds out I am pregnant" Alisha still panicked
"Wow, you are expecting a baby, while I just lost mine. Isn't that wonderful?" Anna smiled and was clapping as she entered into Alisha's ward.
"Anna, get a grip of yourself" Mr. Adams scolded her
"Go ahead dad, scold me, after all she is your favorite daughter." Anna was obviously bitter.
"What are you talking about? I love you both equally."
"I know dad, I know that you think you are not my father, because it was after Alisha's birth that mom started moving around, so you suspect that I might be a child to one of her lovers, and I am sure that was why mum left the house, because you confronted her about it." Anna was saying what seems to be a surprise to everyone.
"Anna, where did you hear all that nonsense from?" Adams asked her with so much shock in his voice. Never had he ever doubted that Anna was not his daughter, never had he thought she belonged to one of Sophia's lovers, never had he loved her less. So what was she saying? Where was she getting this thoughts from?
"Well I once heard Sophia on the phone, she said if I can proof to you that she is your daughter will you give me that which I deserve and also give her a part of your inheritance?"
"Anna, that is a ridiculous conclusion to make from just that conversation. If you must know I once did a DNA test, not because I ever doubted that you were my daughter, but because I suspected that Sophia might decide to want to trade one of you for money, and I know when the time comes she might manipulate the results, so I did the test so I could have my own evidence, and when the test were out, it showed what I had always known, Alisha and Anna, my daughters."
"Please excuse me, I need to go check on my husband" Anna said and turned towards the door.
"Hold on Anna, you need to apologize to Alisha this minute." Adams said firmly. Anna stopped walking and stood still for a while, and then he went out of the room without saying a word. Adams was about to go after her, but Alisha held his hand and told him to let her be.
Alisha had a full day bed rest and by evening the doctor told her she could take a walk. Leonardo went to the hotel suite to get some clean clothes for Alisha and food for her, she said she didn't like hospital food and would rather have something close to home made.
Alisha went to check up on Alfonso since the doctor said she could be out of bed. When she got to his room, she saw him trying to get in his wheel chair on his own.
"Let me help you." She said as she went to his side.
"Thank you Alisha." He gave a weak smile.
"I came to check up on you" she returned his smile
"Thanks again Alisha, would you like to go for a walk with me, it's not much but we could sit in the hospital garden if they have one here."
"Let's go check then." She smiled and pushed the chair
"So how was your honeymoon?"
"It was good, Anna is really a sweet girl, Alisha, I'm so sorry about everything, I should have not been intimate with her until I had properly ended things, I should have also been bold enough to tell you I was having feelings for your sister, I am so sorry." Alfonso said as they got to a small garden in the hospital and Alisha stopped the chair and sat on a bench in front of him.
"It's fine really, I just hope you two are really happy." She smiled and he lifted his hand and touched her face.
"You slut" Alisha heard and turned to find Anna walking towards them
"What are you saying Anna?" Alisha was surprised
"Is it not enough that you took my child from me, would you also seduce my husband?" Anna said and pushed Alisha to the ground.
Alisha cried in pain as she dashed her foot and instead of falling on her butt she face on her face.
"Anna, what is wrong with you, I asked her to come down here with me, and we were only talking, and I was apologizing to her for what we did to her, something you should have done a long time ago." Alfonso scolded her
"Let's get you inside, the doctor was looking for you, it's time for your injections" Anna said as she rolled his wheel chair in. Leonardo protested asking her to stop and make sure Alisha was fine, but she only murmured about him caring too much for Alisha and she kept rolling his chair.
"A lady just slumped in the garden." Alfonso screamed to the receptionist as Anna rolled his chair to his ward.
"She is fine, just acting like she always do, you didn't need to inform them." Anna said with no emotion.
Leonardo got back a while later but didn't find Alisha in her ward, he decided to check Anna to know if she was there, Anna was not in her ward so he went to Leonardo's ward instead, wondering why patients no longer stayed where the doctor placed them.
He met Anna and Alfonso arguing. "I'm sorry to disrupt your couples quarrel, but do any of you by chance know where Alisha might be?" he asked them
"No" Anna responded sharply.
"She was in a little argument with Anna earlier, I don't know if it's serious but you should ask at the reception." Alfonso responded
Leonardo didn't waste anymore time, he rushed out and raced down the hall way in panic.
"Have you seen my wife? Alisha Legend, Alisha Adams formally room 6" Leonardo asked the receptionist while he was breathing fast.
"Room 12, last ward down the hall." She said and he ran off without uttering a thank you.
When he got to the room, he saw Alisha in tears while her dad held her hand. He rushed to her side with a worried expression, "baby? What is the matter my love, what did she do to you?" he asked her he was obviously angry seeing Alisha in pain, and knowing that it was her sister that caused it.
"Leo, it was a mistake, she didn't mean to" Alisha defended
"What did she do?" he asked angrily
"It was bound to happen, the moment I was placed on bed rest, I already knew, we knew Leo, so it was not Anna's fault. It was not just about the push and me falling." Alisha tried to explain, she was trying to make herself believe it didn't have anything to do with the push.
"Alisha, what happened?" Leonardo asked again trying to contain his anger. Alisha began to sob loudly and Mr. Adams pulled Leonardo to a corner.
"I don't think she needs that scolding now, she just lost the baby." Her father revealed
Leonardo did not utter a word, instead he stormed out of the ward. "Dad, stop him" Alisha pleaded
"No, let him be, I think Anna need some fire to burn her so she come to her senses. s
"Anna, Anna's Leonardo called out angrily as he entered Alfonso's ward.
"How dare you push Alisha?" he scolded her
"It was just a slight push, and besides she deserves it for flirting with my husband." Anna said without any remorse.
"You pushed her and she lost the baby she was carrying, don't you have a heart?" Leonardo screamed at her. He felt like giving her a slap, but it was not proper to hit a woman.
"From the first day I met Alisha, all she ever cared about was think about your happiness, but all you ever do is hurt her, if I ever see you close to Alisha ever again or Ina, I swear I will hurt you, I would have sued you for harassment but I know it would hurt Alisha, but if I see you close to her, I swear you might end up lifeless." Leonardo swore and stomped out of the ward.
"Anna you disgust me, I want to be left alone." Alfonso said and turned away from her.
Anna went back to her ward dejected. She had always been wrong, all Alisha did was love her, she knew it was never Alisha's fault that she lost her baby, it was not her intention to make Alisha lose her own pregnancy but no one was ever going to believe her, even Alfonso didn't want to see her anymore.
"Anna, have you had something to eat so you can take your medication?" the doctor asked her, she was in deep thoughts that she didn't know when he came in.
"I lost my appetite." she said uninterested in what he had to say, she just wanted to be alone and beat herself up.
"Try to eat something, your baby needs it." the doctor said to her, as he checked her vitals.
"I think you are mixing me up with some other patient, I lost the baby after the surgery." Anna clarified
"No, there is no mix up, your sister signed her consent in case the surgery tampered with the baby, but everything went fine and the baby is in good condition."
"How is that possible? I don't even feel pregnant."
"That is because your mind has believed you are not pregnant anymore, you know what, follow me so we can get a scan done and you can see your baby." the doctor said and Anna followed him with mixed feelings.
Anna was crying by the time she saw the tender being inside of her, she didn't wait for the nurse to finish up cleaning the gel on her stomach before she got up and rushed to Alfonso's room.
"Anna, not now please." he was still too mad at her
"I have something to tell you." she said but he didn't reply, since he didn't ask her out of his ward, she started to speak.
"I just came from the doctor, I didn't lost the child, I am still pregnant. I'm still carrying our child Al, and I feel so stupid about all I did and said to Alisha, and everyone else. Could you go with me to her ward? I need to speak with her." Anna said
"That's great news, but I don't think I should go with you, I think you need to do this alone, don't sweat it, I'm sure Alisha has forgiven you already." Alfonso encouraged her.
When Alisha went to Alisha's ward, she discovered that she had been discharged and had gone with Leonardo. She didn't know where her dad was, so she went back to Alfonso.
When she returned to Alfonso's ward, she met her dad talking to him. "Dad, I'm so sorry, Alisha never did any wrong against me," she started to say as she approached her dad.
"Alfonso told me you still have your child growing in you, so if not for the child you would have still continued to act so stupidly and wickedly towards your sister? I didn't raise you like this, you really hurt Alisha and I don't know how you can fix that." her dad was obviously mad at her.
"But I'm sorry" she said as she sobbed
"Being sorry alone doesn't fix things, words cut deep and even when they heal, the scars still remains, Alisha loves you, but even the most loving heart at times withdraws back after been hurt deeply, you mad her lose her child and that's too big a hurt against someone whose only offense was to love you." her father lectured
"Dad, can I get the address to the hotel they are in? I need to see her."
"She's gone"
