He pulled her close to his body, and looked at her eyes; Alisha stared at him with a confused expression.
His eyes moved from her eyes to her lips, and all she could think of was what she last ate, so that if he decided to kiss her, her mouth would not taste awful.
He took his mouth to her ears and whispered, "You are mine, don't let men like Montenegro pass comments on you ever again."
"If you don't tell me what a beautiful woman like me needs to hear, I'm afraid I"d take it from other men. I must confess that I loved the attention."
Leonardo tightens his grip around her waist, "I"d be breaking a lot of necks then" he said with grinded teeth and let her go.
Alisha did not want this moment in his arms to end, but it had ended almost as quickly as it began.
"Let's head back to the resort" Leonardo said trying not to look at her. Holding her close to his body had sent chills down his spine, he didn't like that feeling. He would not accept that she had an effect on him, so he decided that he had to keep his distance away from her.
"A total waste of makeover" Alisha lamented
"Let's go for dinner then, I know this nice place by the beach." Leonardo said leading her to the car.
"Is this a date?" Alisha asked just to hear his response.
"No, I'm just feeding my hungry wife's he said with a straight face.
They spent the rest of the evening, eating and avoiding topics that was related to their families, their marriages and feelings. They talked only about the environment and a bit of work.
They took turns to have their shower when they got back to their suite. Alisha kept the diamond earrings in the safest place she could fine. She was going to return it before she had breakfast the next morning.
"At least the night wasn't a total waste, I had my hair treated professionally for the first time in a long while, I can't remember when last I went to the saloon, not even a cheap one.

The next morning, Alisha woke up to the smell of food.

As they walked down the street and looked at all the colourful people with smiles on their faces, a little boy and a girl that was probably his younger sister walked up to them.
Excuse me sir, buy a flower for the lovely lady the boy of about 7 years said
Alisha looked at the little girl who appeared to be sad.
Leonardo collected a flower and gave it to Alisha, she blushed as she took them from him and mouthed a Thank you.
How much is it? Leonardo asked the boy as he took out his wallet.

Keep the change Leonardo said as he handed the boy twenty dollars
What is wrong with your sister? Alisha asked as she observed the little girl.
"She is hungry, but I will get her something to eat now that we have sold some flowers and have made some extra, thank you.
Alisha looked at Leonardo and whispered in his ear if they could treat the children to lunch. He nodded and she took the girl by her hand.
Could you show us where we can get the best meals around here? I promise I would pay for your time
The boy happily led them to a nice looking eatery and was about to turn away when they arrived there.
Come in with us Alisha said softly to them and they went in.
As they watched them eat, they discovered that their parents were selling flowers at some other end of the carnival and he and his sister volunteered to help them sell too, that was how they had ended up alone and hungry, because they wanted to make sure they sold all their flowers before they went back.
They rest of the day flew by. Alisha and Leonardo enjoyed the carnival, then they had gone to the spa and back to the suite.
Thanks for today, I had fun Alisha said as she lay on the bed to sleep.
I had fun too, any plans for tomorrow? I will be out the entire day, I have a meeting
Id just stay in here and read a novel, or Id lie down by the beach
The next day, Alisha had read a novel until she was tired of reading. She was having a nap when Leonardo returned.
