Aurora‘s p.o.v Enough was enough and that‘s exactly how I felt. I put on my mask well for years not showing myself. I let them abuse Amelia and I acted weak and needy to blind her over our true strength and power. But this time I wasn‘t going to be the quiet she–wolf that everyone thought of.
I walked out of the pack house and stood in front of the warriors who were slowly getting to their feet. They looked better and I was sure their strength had been restored. Many pack members were also outside whispering and chattering to one another.
I looked at the Beta then at Sherry who quickly moved behind him. She truly was a coward but I cared less about her.
“I am called Aurora. I am the Alpha Queen born from the royal castle of the moon–star pack and next heiress to the throne.” I said strongly making sure my dominance was lanced through my voice. The murmurs and whispers instantly died. All I could see was fear and shock on their faces. “My human was in your midst trying to live a peaceful life, but what did you do to her?. You bullied, mocked, and laughed at her behind her back. I took all that in silence until you fools dared to raise your hand on what was mine.” I said then looked the Beta straight in the eyes. He quickly lowered his gaze. “Your so–called alpha was poisoned by someone in this pack and believe me when I say that I will find out, do you know how?. When he wakes up he will tell me, as we speak a warlock is working on his recovery which won‘t take long. Whoever had the guts to hurt my mate will pay in blood.” I said seriously as the pack members looked at each other. “Also, as of today. I am taking over as Alpha of.... no. I am taking over as the Luna of this pack. If any of you feel my claim is unjust, do step forward and fight me for that right.” I said loudly while looking around. Whoever met my eyes quickly lowered their gaze to the ground. “Beta,” I called deliberately.
“Ye..s Luna.” He answered in a cracked voice. “Come with me.” I ordered.
“Yes.” He answered then moved but stopped when Sherry grabbed his hand.
“No.” She whispered with tears filled in her eyes.
“Bring her along,” I said then turned and walked back into the pack house going upstairs into Ian‘s room.
When I walked in I found Felix, Lee, Chase, and Jeannie standing around his bed. “What are you all doing?” I asked seriously. “Waiting for him to wake up. You know it wasn‘t cool to order us to move him to his room
then rush out to dress up and go out of the pack house.” Jeannie sald. “She was addressing the pack.” Felix answered. “I know and I heard her words, but her acting like our freaking boss is not fair. Lee was even over pushing his limits to make the portal at the same time the herb that alpha lan took.” She answered.
I went to where she was standing and looked at her. She quickly lowered her gaze as Lee stepped in front of her.
“Her being a Werewolf makes her wolf acknowledge the alpha queen in you and submit, but that doesn‘t mean you should do this to her just because she gave her honest opinion.” He said seriously, “I guess making a portable and passing through the wall was a lot of work.” I said sarcastically. “He saved your mate, how could you not be thankful!” She said from behind him. I growled in warning as she whimpered and grabbed Lee‘s shirt.
“Cut it out, Aurora. Your rank might be higher than most of us but.....”
“Ahh.” Ian moaned out.
I quickly rushed to his side and took his hand ignoring the tingles I was feeling.
“Ah fuck, my headache is killing me.” He whispered then blinked a few times before opening his eyes. A smile instantly touched his lips. “You,” He said, then moved his hand to touch my cheek but stopped halfway.
“Your eyes.” He murmured.
There it was, the fear I wanted to see in his eyes.
“I‘m not Amelia your slave girl. I am Aurora, her wolf.” I said as he quickly sat upright and moved back, hitting the headboard of the bed.
“Your eyes!” He exclaimed as his chest rose and fell.
“That‘s because she‘s of royal blood and rank.” Felix answered.
He looked at her then at everyone.
“What...?. Who the fuck are you people and what are you doing in my pack!” He screamed on top of his voice.
“Leave us,” I said seriously as everyone looked at me.
The Beta quickly walked out with Sherry.
“Please.” I said between greeted teeth.
“Fine.” Felix answered then grabbed Chase‘s hand. “You all have heard.” She said while she walked out. Lee grabbed Jeanie‘s hand as well and rushed out, shutting the door behind them. “Hi Ian, as I said before, “I am called Aurora. I am the Alpha Queen born from the royal castle of the moon–star pack and next heiress to the throne.” I said as he pressed his hands on his
head then dropped them. “Of course, this explains it. I‘m dreaming, better still hallucinating due to the full moon.” He said, surprising me. “Of course I am, right Axel?” He asked as I folded my arms. “Axel?” He called loudly. “Look, Ian. I will say this slowly, so please listen carefully.” I said then sat at the edge of the bed.
“You were locked up in a basement room that is like a cell. And In that cell, you were given whiskey which was mixed with an overdose of Otis. My guess is that you drank the whole bottle allowing the poison to work even faster and spread on most parts of your body with each passing hour. Because of the link I share with Axel I could feel that you were dying. As much as I would have loved you dead I couldn‘t let you. You dying would also kill Axel, that‘s why I came here to save you. It took that warlock you saw, that fairy and me marking you to stop the poison from spreading and making it dormant.” I said.
He quickly moved his hand to his neck and touched my mark.
“You bitch, what did you do!” He screamed out furiously and moved to attack me. “Stay put!” I commanded. He immediately froze then went back and sat still.
“What have you done to me!” He yelled on top of his voice. “Me?. I did nothing Ian. I just claimed you as my own. As of today, your pack is mine and you my dear will serve me and my human without question. You will never threaten us nor act badly in front of us even when she‘s the one you are facing. And that‘s an order from your alpha queen.” I said strongly.
