Chapter 91- She Double-Crossed Me.

“Alpha, she is awake”, he had waited almost two days to hear those words and it had finally been said. He stood to his feet, downing the last drop of wolfsbane in his cup, enjoying the sting that came with it.

He placed his cup on the table and headed out of his office which situated in the pack house. He made his way to the infirmary and didn’t bother to knock,

“What the hell?!”, the female in the room screamed, his eyes widened in surprise and he shut the door after muttering a simple apology. He felt the heat rush to his face in embarrassment and his pants tighten on his lower region in arousal.

Fuck! He tried his hardest to adjust himself but even he knew that his pants were too tight-fitted for that- he was going to show. He mentally cursed himself for the images that bombarded his head once he had seen her completely unclothed.

He had seen her naked- it was just a quick glimpse but it was buried into his mind. He didn’t want to think dirty things about her but he just couldn’t help it.

Besides, why didn’t she lock the door when she knew she wasn’t wearing anything? It could’ve been anybody walking in on her like that!

Why did that make him furious?

Anybody could’ve just walked in and seen her the way he did- anyone else would’ve knocked before entering and that was a fact.

Suddenly, the door flew open, “Alpha Asher”, the now fully dressed girl bowed and stepped aside, allowing the larger man through. She was about to close the door when he said,

“Leave it open”, he did not trust them to be alone with each other. He knew how these mate things worked and he wasn’t ready to be pulled to her in anyways- it was already bad enough that her scent was practically strangling him.

She did as she was told and went to sit on the rather uncomfortable bed. He sat down on the chair a few meters away from her, crossing one leg over the other and folding his arms over his chest.

He looked at her skeptically and couldn’t help but wonder what was going on in her head. Her lips were twisted down in a frown as she bent her head down to avoid eye contact with him- he wasn’t having that.

“You realize that what you did the other day was extremely stupid”, her head snapped up, her icy blue eyes finally having the courage to stare into his emerald green orbs,

“Well, excuse me for trying to find my sister”,

“You know, it baffles me, not surprises me how you would say shit like that when you have something to do with her disappearance in the first place”, she furrowed her eyebrows but her gaze did not falter, “Unless you can somehow explain why you were with those rogues…”,

“Would you at least be patient?”, Levi said, standing at the threshold of the door, Darian and Liam behind him.

“I don’t have time for patience “, he growled at his brother and faced her, giving her a menacing look, “Tell me why you were with them!”, he barked, “Do not make me regret saving you”, his words were laced with so much venom and they stung deeply. He was such an asshole!

“You know, you don’t say that to a person”, Liam spoke with a frown evident on his face,

“You can’t tell me what I can and cannot say, pup”, he spat, not even looking at his brother. His harsh eyes were still focused solely and deeply on the woman in front of him.

“She double-crossed me”, Viola spoke and all four men gifted her with a look of confusion, “Addilyn”, she spoke, “We had a deal and she double-crossed me”,

“You had a deal?”, Darian asked with furrowed eyebrows.

“Yes”, she sighed, “We had a deal but I wasn’t exactly going to go through with it- I was just so angry at everyone at the time and with good reason”, she explained.

“What was the deal?”, Asher asked in a more gentle tone, different from the one he had been using,

She bent her head down and played with her fingers, once again trying to avoid eye contact, her next words were going to get her into a lot of trouble, “She said she had figured out a way to get back at you- she planned to take over the pack and make me Alpha”,

Asher growled in response, “And you agreed to this?!”,

“As I said”, she continued, “I was extremely angry at the time and all that was on my mind was revenge”, she heaved another sigh, “The first and last thing she asked me to do was get Imogen out of the way- that part was easy since she’s a complete softie, she practically did the job for me. After that, I didn’t hear from Addilyn again, she stopped picking my calls and that was when I started getting suspicious”,

“You realize that you could get into some serious trouble for all this”, Asher said, his harsh tone resurfacing.

“I know and I’m not going to beg for mercy because I know you will still do what you wanna do. All I can ask for is that you let me help you find her”,

“To wash your guilt away?”, Asher chimed in,

“No, that will forever be there. I just need to find her, she is still my sister and I will hate myself if anything happens to her”, Viola explained.

Asher stood to his feet and stared down at her distastefully, “Good, I hope you do hate yourself. I should punish you right away but I know Imogen would not forgive me if I do”, he said before turning to Darian, “Gather the pack, I have an announcement to make”, he was about to walk away when he remembered, “Also, make sure to black list Addilyn Villain’s name. She is dead when I find her”,

“Do you want me to alert your parents?”, he asked,

“No, I’ll do that myself”, he said lastly before walking away. Once he stepped out of the room, he felt like he could finally breathe. He took in a deep breath of air and cursed himself for holding his breath for so long. Her scent was too much for him and it made him wonder how she tasted.

No! He shouldn’t be having these kind of thoughts about his girlfriend’s sister- it was inappropriate.

It was then that images of her naked body filled his head and he could once again feel his pants tighten at the crotch.

“Fuck”, he muttered out loud and made his way back to his office. He locked the door behind him and pulled his pants down, along with his briefs, letting his large member fly free. He scanned his environment and groaned loudly- he could not believe that he was butt naked in his office. If he wasn’t in so much pain, he would’ve found humor in his situation but there was nothing to be happy about- he was hard for the wrong person.

Suddenly, a knock came from the door, making his heart rate go up, “Shit”, he whispered and scurried to get his discarded pants,

“Alpha, the pack is ready for you”, he heard Darian call,

“Umm… I’m coming!”, he called back, trying to fit his leg into his tight trousers, he nearly stumbled to the ground as he walked towards the door whilst zipping up. He took a deep breath and unlocked the door after calming himself.

He was met with a puzzled looking Darian, “What’s up?”, Asher just shrugged and pushed past him, making his way to the hall. He would never speak of what just happened to him.
