Chapter 85 SPECIAL CHAPTER 4

Chapter 85 SPECIAL CHAPTER 4
Brienne felt another strong tug in her tummy. She was almost due now, and Sam had been on standby since morning.
”Okay, sis, we’re together again for your second time,” Ravena said with a small chuckle, trying to sound calm.
Brienne smiled, but it quickly turned into a grimace as the twins kicked nonstop inside her.
”But this time, I’m more nervous,” Ravena admitted as she clasped her hands together. ”You’re delivering my nephews, and I’m more scared than you are,” she added.
”I applaud mothers,” Ravena whispered.
Brienne took a deep breath and looked at her. ”I’m scared too,” she admitted softly. ”But I have to be brave—for my boys,” she added.
Another sharp tug hit her belly. Brienne gasped and grabbed the edge of the bed.
Then she felt it—warm and sudden.
She looked down as water spilled onto the tiled floor.
”It’s happening, right?” Ravena asked, her eyes wide as she stared at the floor. Brienne nodded slowly, her heart racing.
”Yes,” she said.
”Oh my gods, oh my gods,” Raven said as he stood up, panic clear on his face.
”Fuck—fuck—Sam!” Ravena yelled as she quickly grabbed her phone and dialed Sam’s number.
The pack doctor answered right away. The moment he heard Ravena’s shaking voice, he knew Brienne was about to give birth.
”He’s on the way, Brienne,” Ravena said, forcing her voice to stay calm.
Brienne nodded, her face tightening as another wave of pain hit her. She took a deep breath and placed both hands on her belly.
”Please calm down, my sons,” she whispered.
Ravena quickly called their parents next.
”We’re coming,” Cecil said firmly. ”Stay with her,” she added.
Ravena then tried calling Raven—but there was no answer.
”Damn it,” Ravena muttered, trying again. Still nothing.
Before she could panic more, a sudden chill ran through her. She received a message from the link.
Rogues are attacking the border.
Ravena clenched her jaw. Anger burned in her chest, but she stayed where she was. She couldn’t leave Brienne—not now, not when Raven wasn’t here and their parents hadn’t arrived yet.
She pushed the anger down and turned fully to Brienne.
”I’m here,” Ravena said firmly as she took Brienne’s hand. ”You’re not alone. I won’t leave you,” she added.
“Raven?” she asked, clearly in pain.
“He'll follow,” Ravena said and smiled.
Brienne squeezed her hand hard as another contraction rolled in.
”Breathe with me,” Ravena said, steady and strong. ”Just focus on your breathing. I’ve got you,” she added.
Brienne nodded, breathing in and out as Ravena stayed right beside her, holding her hand, ready to face whatever came next together.
Their parents arrived soon after. Cecil went straight to Brienne and gently held her hand, her presence calming right away.

Sam had also arrived and was already preparing the room where Brienne would give birth. Everything was being set in place.
”Ma, where’s Raven?” Brienne asked softly, her voice shaking.
Cecil looked at her husband and then at Ravena.
”Go fetch him,” Cecil ordered firmly.
Both Ravena and Arthur nodded and left the room at once.
Cecil squeezed Brienne’s hand and smiled reassuringly.
”He’ll be here, sweety,” she said gently.
Outside, Ravena and Arthur quickly shifted into their wolf forms. Their bodies changed as fur grew and their senses sharpened. Without wasting time, they rushed toward the border.
Rogue activity had been increasing for months now, and tonight was worse than ever.
Ravena arrived first. She spotted Raven in his wolf form, fighting alongside his warriors. Without hesitation, she ran toward him.
A rogue suddenly lunged at her from the side—but Arthur slammed into the rogue, knocking it away before it could reach her.
Ravena didn’t stop. She reached Raven and shifted just enough to speak through the pack link.
”Raven,” she said urgently. ”Brienne is about to give birth. The twins are coming,” she added.
Raven froze. His head snapped toward her, shock and fear clear even in his wolf eyes.
Without another second of thought, Raven stepped back from the fight. He turned and ran—fast—leaving the border behind as he headed straight for the packhouse, his only thought getting back to Brienne in time.
A rogue spotted Raven the moment he turned away. Without hesitation, the rogue broke from the fight and chased after him, claws digging into the ground as it ran.
Ravena saw it at once.
Already in her wolf form, she moved fast and cut the rogue off before it could go any farther.
”You’re not going anywhere,” she growled.
The rogue snarled and lunged. Ravena met it head-on, slamming her body into the rogue and sending it rolling across the forest floor.
The forest erupted into chaos.
All around them, wolves clashed. Growls echoed through the trees. Claws flashed as pack warriors fought the rogues, bodies colliding again and again.
Arthur, also in his wolf form, rushed to Ravena’s side. His massive body blocked another rogue that tried to slip past them. He struck hard, knocking the rogue away before it could reach the path Raven had taken.
”They’re trying to follow him,” Ravena growled through the pack link.
”I know,” Arthur replied. ”Hold them here,” he added.
More rogues rushed in from the shadows. They were desperate, wild, and reckless. They fought without fear, driven only by hunger and rage.
Ravena stayed alert, her eyes always flicking toward the path Raven had taken. She could not let anyone pass. Brienne needed him. The twins were coming.
A rogue broke through the line.
Ravena sprinted after it and tackled it from the side. They rolled across the dirt, snapping and growling. The rogue tried to bite, but Ravena pushed it back with force.
Arthur finished the fight, standing over the fallen rogue as it went still.
”They planned this,” Arthur growled. ”They wanted Raven and the pack,” he added.
”Too bad,” Ravena answered. ”He’s already gone,” she added.
The pack regrouped quickly, forming a tighter line. Wolves stood shoulder to shoulder, blocking every opening.
Another wave of rogues charged.
The forest shook with sound—snarls, howls, heavy breathing. Leaves and branches snapped under pounding paws.
Ravena fought without slowing. She leapt, struck, and blocked, always guarding the path behind her.
”Hold the line!” a warrior howled.
The pack answered as one, pushing back together. The rogues began to lose ground. They were tired now. Their attacks grew weaker.
Ravena lifted her head and let out a strong howl, calling the pack forward.
They surged as one.
One by one, the rogues were driven down. The forest slowly grew quieter until only heavy breathing remained.
Ravena stood still, chest rising and falling fast. She turned her head toward the direction Raven had run.
”Go,” she whispered through the link. ”Be with her,” she added.
Arthur stepped beside her.
”He will make it,” he said.
Ravena nodded, her heart tight but steady.
Behind them, the pack began to secure the border once more. The threat was gone—for now.
And far away, Raven was already running home.
Raven arrived at the packhouse, his chest rising and falling fast. He shifted back into his human form and froze when the smell of blood hit him.
”Fuck it,” he muttered.
He hurried inside and went straight to the nearest bathroom. He turned the water on and scrubbed himself hard, washing away the blood and dirt clinging to his skin. His hands shook as he moved, his thoughts already with Brienne.
When he was done, he grabbed the towel hanging from the cabinet, dried himself quickly, and pulled on clean clothes.
Without stopping, he rushed toward the room where Brienne was.
The moment he entered, he heard her cry out.
Brienne was pushing, her face pale and strained, sweat lining her forehead. Sam stood near her, calm but focused, while Cecil stayed close, holding her other hand.
”Brienne,” Raven said breathlessly as he hurried to her side. He took her hand at once, squeezing it tight.
”I’m here.”
Despite the pain, Brienne turned her head toward him.
”Where were you?” she asked weakly. Raven leaned close, pressing his forehead to hers.
”There was trouble at the border. I had to go,” he said softly. ”Ravena and my father backed me up,” he added.
Brienne nodded, trusting him, even as another pain hit her.
”Okay, Brienne,” Sam said firmly but gently. ”I need you to push now,” he added.
Brienne squeezed Raven’s hand hard and took a deep breath.
”You’re doing great,” Raven whispered. ”I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere,” he added. Sam nodded.
”Push, Luna Brienne. That’s it. Keep going,” he said.
Brienne cried out as she pushed again, Raven holding her hand tightly, his heart pounding as he stayed by her side—this time, exactly where he was meant to be.
Sam stayed focused, his voice steady as Brienne cried out again. Raven never let go of her hand.
”That’s it, Luna Brienne,” Sam said. ”You’re almost there. One more strong push,” he added, urging her to push. Brienne shook her head weakly, tears slipping from the corner of her eyes.
”I can’t,” she whispered, her voice breaking.
”You can,” Raven said at once, brushing his thumb over her knuckles. ”You’re doing amazing. I’m here. Our sons are almost here,” he added, wiping the sweat and tears off of Brienne's face.
Another wave of pain hit her, stronger than before. Brienne gasped and pushed with everything she had, her body trembling.
”Yes, just like that,” Sam encouraged. ”Keep pushing. Don’t stop,” he added.
With a final cry, the room filled with a sharp, new sound.
A baby’s cry.
Sam carefully lifted the newborn, his face softening.
”We have our first twin,” he announced.
Relief washed over the room. One of the pack nurses quickly moved to Sam’s side, wrapping the baby in a warm cloth. The cries grew steadier as the nurse checked him, cleaning him gently and making sure he was breathing well. Raven laughed softly, tears blurring his vision.
”You did it,” he whispered to Brienne. ”You did it,” he added. Brienne smiled weakly, exhausted but relieved.
”Is he okay?” she asked.
”He’s strong,” Sam replied. ”Very strong,” he added.
The nurse carried the newborn a short distance away to continue caring for him, while Sam turned his attention back to Brienne. His expression shifted back to focus.
”Alright, Brienne,” Sam said. ”Take a breath. We’re not done yet,” he added seriously. Brienne stiffened slightly. Raven tightened his grip on her hand.
”The second twin is ready,” Sam continued. ”I need you to push once more, Luna Brienne,” he added.
Brienne closed her eyes and nodded, drawing in a shaky breath as she prepared herself again, while Raven stayed close, whispering comfort as the nurses worked quietly nearby, caring for their firstborn.
Brienne barely had time to rest before another strong pain rolled through her body. She cried out, her grip tightening around Raven’s hand.
”I feel it again,” she said breathlessly. Sam nodded, already in position.
”That’s your second son. Luna Brienne, I need you to push again. Just like before. Breath, Luna,” he said.
Brienne shook her head, tears falling freely now. Her whole body felt heavy, tired, but she knew she couldn’t stop. Raven leaned closer, pressing his forehead to hers.
”Look at me,” he said softly. ”You’re not alone. You were brave for the first one. Be brave again, just a little more. For our boys,” he added and kissed her lips gently.
She took a deep breath, then another, and pushed as hard as she could. The pain was sharp, stealing the air from her lungs. She screamed, her body shaking.
”That’s it,” Sam said firmly. ”You’re doing good. Keep pushing,” he added.
The nurses moved quickly, ready and alert. Brienne pushed again, crying Raven’s name as she did.
Then, another cry filled the room—loud and strong. Sam smiled.
”There he is. Your second twin,” he said enthusiastically.
A pack nurse gently took the newborn, wrapping him carefully in a blanket. The baby cried for a moment before calming, his small chest rising and falling steadily.
Brienne collapsed back against the pillows, exhausted beyond words. Raven laughed softly through his tears, kissing her forehead again and again. Cecil cried in the corner watching her grandsons and her son and his wife.
”You did it,” he whispered. ”Both of them. You were amazing,” he praised. Brienne turned her head slightly, her eyes searching.
”They’re both okay?” she asked weakly.
”They’re perfect,” Sam answered. ”Two strong boys,” he answered.
The pack nurses worked quietly, checking the second baby while the first was brought closer so Brienne could see him. Her lips curved into a tired smile as tears slipped down her cheeks.
She placed a trembling hand over her belly, now finally still.
”My boys,” she whispered.
Raven stayed beside her, holding her hand, his heart full as the cries of their newborn sons filled the room.
