Chapter 87. Spare The Life
Doctor Billy Anderson uses another way to get a look at Pearl. He knew that something had happened to her. Therefore, Billy met one of the doctor's colleagues at the hospital to ask for his help. The doctor looked for Pearl Rosenthal's room and found her.
“She is in the VVIP room, does she know the Kellent family members?” the doctor asked Billy. Billy smiled in response.
"If she was part of the Kellents, you couldn’t see her. The room must be closely guarded.” Billy nodded in understanding and thought for a moment.
"Can you help me to get there?"
Two doctors, including Billy, walked carrying patient charts into a room guarded by several Sigmas from the Silver Moon Pack.
“We would like to check on Miss Rosenthal.” One of the doctors spoke to the guard who was blocking him. The bodyguard tried to look at the faces of the two doctors and his gaze stopped on Billy. Billy didn't look and chose to look down. The guard also gave permission.
Billy and his friends were able to go in to see Pearl's condition. There was no one in the room but there was a camera watching 24 hours a day.
"What happened to her?" Billy asked as he approached Pearl.
"According to the patient chart, she is a victim of violence and kidnapping." Billy quickly turned to his friend. Billy's expression immediately turned serious and sad. He took out his stethoscope and examined Pearl.
“Who did this to you, Your Highness?” Billy muttered softly then checked Pearl's breathing and her physical condition carefully. He could tell that Pearl's injuries were quite serious. If she wasn't a princess from the fairy clan, then Pearl would already be dead.
“I have to take her away from here immediately,” Billy spoke again as he turned to his colleague. The friend frowned and then shook his head.
“I don't think that's possible. This place is like a fortress. No one can escape here and just walk away. What's more, she is a top-priority patient. Mr. Taggart Kellent himself brought it here.”
Billy's expression became increasingly tense. Louis Durrant wouldn't like the report if he found out his nephew was hurt because of Taggart Kellent.
"Have they found the culprit yet?" Billy asked again. The doctor shook his head.
“You still can't take Miss Rosenthal from here. But I will report the progress every day, how about it?” Billy still stared at Pearl silently. He had promised to bring Pearl back with her real family. Louis Durrant has just received proof that Pearl Rosenthal is his missing niece, Princess Primrose Evelyn.
“She is my family. Pearl is my niece.” Billy suddenly confessed. His colleagues were surprised to hear this. He just kept quiet and then turned to pay attention to Pearl.
“I still can't do more than this, Billy. Forgive me."
Billy sighed in disappointment and nodded in understanding. He rubbed Pearl's head and then smiled slightly at her.
Not long after, Billy had to leave The Kellent Center. He will report what happened to Pearl to Louis Durrant. He couldn't let the Kellent family keep the main heir of the fairy clan in their place. If Taggart Kellent has started his initiation, he will also change Pearl to become like him. Pearl will experience great hardships that lead to death. Billy must immediately prevent that from happening.

Damian got out of his car and walked to his friend Alonzo's nightclub. He looked tense and harboured annoyance. He didn't come to have fun but to meet Taggart who was waiting for him.
"Damian!" Damian turned to Alonzo who approached him.
"Forgive me. I couldn't refuse Taggart's request. He came suddenly.” Alonzo immediately gave an apologetic expression. Damian just nodded slightly then followed Alonzo who took him to a VIP room.
Taggart sat quietly in front of a table with a few drinks. There was no one there. The sound of music drifted from the dance floor into the room. Damian walked in calmly towards the chair in front of Taggart. Taggart just raised his cold gaze at Damian.
"What are you looking for me for?" Damian asked, still in his arrogant manner. Taggart restrained himself from bursting into anger. He straightened his back, glaring at Damian.
“I'm only asking this once, so listen to me. I will not kill you but you must hand over your father to me.”
Damian was silent for a moment then burst out laughing. He shook his head and was still laughing loudly. Not only was it an insult, but what Damian did was resistance. Taggart still hadn't let go of his tense expression at all. Damian only finished laughing at Taggart's request after a while.
“Who do you think you are to order me around?” Damian mocked Taggart so clearly.
“I was the one who was supposed to let go of my hand while you were hanging from the Kellent tower. You owe me your life.” Damian, who originally still wanted to laugh, now faded away. He looked back at Taggart sharply. Taggart didn't budge and wouldn't give Damian a chance.
“I didn't ask you to do that. Thus, I don't feel indebted to you.” Damian bravely answered. The corners of Taggart's lips lifted in a grin.
“You are such a coward, Damian. It hasn't changed at all.” Taggart is now starting to play with Damian's emotions. Damian sneered sarcastically and looked away. He tried not to be affected by Taggart's way of trying to provoke his anger.
"I'm not a coward because I'm not like you who takes advantage of innocent girls so you can be an Alpha. Why? Are you so desperate that you have to trap Pearl so she will become your slave?” Damian tries to turn things around by bringing Pearl into their debate.
"Don't mention my girl with your flirty mouth,"
"Why? You don't want to take it because you are a coward and a liar.”
Taggart hit the table suddenly. The sound of the table crashing made the glasses fall and Damian immediately quieted down. Damian breathed a little faster. He was starting to look uncomfortable. Taggart was not a pleasant person when he was angry.
“You know me well, Damian. I have no mercy.” Taggart growled his anger through hissing. His sharp eyes pierced and dominant. No creature would be able to detain from it.
“Hand over your father and I will spare you,” Taggart added more.
"I am not your slave."
Taggart's hand suddenly grabbed Damian's collar and then pressed his head quickly onto the table.
"Ah, let me go!" Damian tried to fight back. Taggart keeps pressing and locking up. He did not hesitate to torture Damian if he did not obey.
“Let go of me, you bastard!” Damian cursed loudly so that Taggart would let him go. Taggart paid him no mind at all.
“I can kill you easily, Damian. Think for yourself,"
“Ah!” Damian groaned and started to hurt. The table started to creak as if it was going to crack and break but Taggart paid it no mind.
"I don't know. I don't know." Damian squirmed but Taggart only put more pressure on his face and head. He couldn't move at all.
“He went to Budapest and left his problems with you. What kind of father do you think he is?” Taggart taunted to play with Damian's mentality. Damian tightened his jaw when he heard that. He didn't even know that his father had gone to Budapest.
"No," Damian muttered with a long, heavy sigh. Between shock and disappointment, Damian shed tears. His father left him with problems he barely know.
"I don't know." Damian was still moaning. Taggart let go of his grip and sat back in his chair. Damian panting hard then grimaced in pain. He slowly raised his head back to face Taggart. His skin was getting red and would be bruised in minutes.
“I would enjoy crushing your head.” Taggart taunted even more. Damian clenched his jaw so irritated by Taggart's behaviour that he could only insult him. His teary eyes looked at Taggart, indicating deep disappointment.
"I don't know where he is," Damian repeated his words even though his jaw felt very sore. Damian continued to hold one cheek and jaw. He couldn't run because Taggart could attack and kill him at any time.
“Then you better find it out. Or, I would be glad to crush your head.”
Damian was still staring with teary eyes at Taggart. Taggart mercilessly did not give any chance to Damian.
“Think only of yourself, because he doesn't think of you.” Taggart hurt Damian. He deliberately broke Damian's heart with the bitter truth. Everything was so painful when he found out that his father was the one who involved him in a big problem.
Taggart left, leaving Damian still grimacing holding his sore jaw. he took a deep breath then lowered his face.
Everest approached Taggart who had just come out of the VIP room. he nodded at Everest and prepared to leave.
“Taggart?”
Taggart stopped in front of Tamara who came towards him. Tamara is very sexy and beautiful tonight. Only he dared to approach Taggart after he left the room.
“Nice to see you again,” Tamara said hello again and she tried to be friendly. Taggart didn't answer. Coldly, he walked past Tamara. However, Tamara suddenly grabbed his arm.
